Chapter 4 - Surprise visit

The evening was fast approaching, with birds going to their nests and humans doing the same, but Tessa still wasn't back from school. Aros was beginning to get worried.

"I think you should call her," Aaron suggested because Aros looked like he was going to fight someone very soon.

"Right," he took out his phone to call her, when the doorbell alarm for the entrance door, which had been wired to his room, suddenly rang.

Tiana Linton was a doctor, so she had gone to the hospital, to treat her patients and she wasn't going to be coming until the next morning, so definitely she wasn't the one at the door.

It must be Tessa, they all thought until a maid came over to the room's front door.

"Young master, some people are looking for you downstairs. They said they are your friends."

Friends? Armaros didn't remember keeping friends around their neighbourhood except for the sons of big CEOs who partnered with their company.

"I'll be down soon," Aros replied to the maid briefly, his thoughts still trying to figure out who had come to visit him.

Aros, Jason and Aaron all headed downstairs, each with a foreboding feeling gnawing at their bones.

Before they got to the living room, chatters were heard, those voices, very familiar and Aros already knew which friends had come looking for him.

"Hey bro, we just stopped by to visit, and look how lucky we are, our groups are complete. If only Susan and Layla got a suspension too," Grey spoke dramatically before turning to face Nathan with an annoying grin.

Call it weird, but Aros had started getting this trait of hearing faraway sounds, though it only worked sometimes, so it was no surprise to see Grey. He had already heard his voice and Moses who couldn't speak without being loud.

"I don't think Mrs. Linton would be glad to see you all here, regarding your bad boy reputations in town," Jason spoke with quite a laugh, like he was a saint himself.

"She wouldn't mind, we are afterall here to study," Moses spoke before adding, "but seriously Aros, we are just bored, aren't we guys?" he asked to see Drayce nod his head and even Nathan's gaze was pleading, which was surprising.

"Okay…. fine," Aros agreed still quite unsure but he agreed to which Aaron and Jason too, finally gave their approvals.

"Okay, gather everyone, we wouldn't be playing videogames tonight, but something different," Drayce looked at them, his gaze giving,

'It is going to be interesting vibes.'

They all agreed, not quite certain, what Drayce was up to even Grey who had been smirking the entire time, suddenly looked confused.

"You'll have to show something super awesome, something you don't usually do around people, but take note…." Drayce was interrupted by a voice.

"My pie, Omid are you home?" her voice was accompanied with the closing of the entrance door from the receiving room.

Armaros stood up, when a platinum silver haired, and purple eyed girl dressed in high school uniform, rushed towards him, hugging him her life depended on it.

"How are you darling?" Armaros hugged her back as his hands moved to straighten the errant strands of her hair.

Grey, Moses and Drayce's Jaw, dropped at the scene before them.

Grey had heard Aros's sister was beautiful, but he didn't believe she truly had purple eyes.

Tessa had inherited her looks from her mum, her eye colour, had been passed from her mum's genetics and her hair too.

She hadn't taken notice of the people around, so when she saw them, she quickly stopped hanging on her brother like those chubby little kids begging for candies.

"I'm Tessa, Aros's shield, who are you guys?" she asked them but not referring to Jason and Aaron as she knew those two crackheads.

She was confident, upper F gave her that, and what a strange way to introduce herself, 'Aros's shield?' The guy certainly didn't need one as they had seen him angry just once. The type of fear he evoked in them that day, was the type that made their legs feeble and their teeth shatter, though they refused to admit, even though he was silent. So why did he need a shield?

"We are Aros's friends from college, it's nice meeting you Tess," Moses spoke calmly to her, but Aros's nerves twitched at the way he had shortened her name.

"You should go change Tess we'll be waiting for you here, after all, we were about to play a game," Nathan finally spoke, to diffuse the tension in the room.

"Okay Nate," Tessa finally agreed, but Grey and Moses narrowed their gazes at how she had called Nathan, Nate. It seemed they knew each other very well.

Tessa was going up the stairs when she turned to Armaros with a cute gaze "Did you get me gifts my pie?" she drawled.

"Of course, Maya would give you the edibles, I'll give you the rest later," Aros stared at her with a knowing smile.

"I love you, big bro, thank you for existing," she squealed, before running up the stairs.

"Love you more sweet tooth," Aros replied with a laugh at the end.

His expression changed when he went back to looking at Drayce, "So can we go on with the game now?"

Woah, bro had switched from sweet big brother to 'let's get to the point CEO'.

It was obvious, that Aros loved his sister too much and the previous scene just proved it.

"Fine, fine we are seven here so one of us will just go…" for the second time that night, Drayce was interrupted.

"Hey are you guys leaving mmh?" Tessa asked, her voice muffled from the cake she was munching on.

"Okay fine you are in. That makes us 8" Drayce then went ahead, to address Tess on the rules of the game, to which she readily nodded, this time leaking chocolate flavored ice cream.

"Since Tessa is the youngest here, it only feels right, she goes first" Moses looked excited to see what she would pull up.

"Okay I'll go first," everyone noticed how Tessa suddenly switched from a foodie high school student, to a young lady of confidence and experience.

She dipped her hand into the front pocket of her baggy shorts and everyone watched with anticipation, while Aros smirked as he already knew what she would bring.

What she pulled out, shocked them all, including Nathan who always looked like nothing could amuse him.

Three bullets, yes bullets.

Tessa twirled them in her hands as she spoke "I have the ability to make bullets pierce, without a gun or trigger," she finished off, by throwing the bullets at the same time, which all went to hit three different alcohol bottles, in the mini chateau of the living room.

The bullets pierced through and protruded out of the bottles.

The place was silent, eyes bulging out of sockets and jaws almost sweeping the clean floors.

"How did u….do th…that?" Jason finally stuttered, while upper F's were still recovering from the aftermath. Moses was practically ogling her hands, while Aros smiled proudly, before ruffling her hair.

Since the rule of the game was, you had to explain how u learned that talent, Drayce asked,

"Aren't girls supposed to be carrying pepper sprays and stuffs but you carry bullets around, okay leave that aside, where did you learn it?"

Tessa's gaze lingered beside her, where Armaros sat, before saying "I wasn't joking when I said I was Aros's shield."

"Why did you teach her that bro?" Aaron asked Aros with a flabbergasted look.

"Well I'm pretty sure answering that question is not part of the game so, let's continue" Aros replied, not giving Aaron a chance to ask him any more questions.

Grey stared at him suspiciously. There were times Aros looked like he had lived way before he was born, and sometimes, he just had this innocent look that made you want to disturb him all day.

He wondered which one was his true face, Armaros Linton or that guy whom everyone feared when he was silent.

"Next is you Grey," Moses finally spoke, breaking him from his reverie.

"What's your secret talent, don't tell us you don't have any," Nathan teased. It was his turn to get back at this anger management student.

"First I'll need a book and pencil," Grey's lips turned a mocking sideways, looking like he was better than everyone else in the room.

.

"His head should be fine in a few weeks," Mrs Linton addressed the parent of the man she had just given treatment to.

"Okay ma'am, thank you so much, doctor. I'll leave him to rest for a while," the young man's mother replied and Tiana gave a nod of understanding, before also returning to her office.

In their absence, a man dressed as a doctor, went to pay the young man with headache a visit.

"Were you able to find it?" the young man questioned the man who had walked into his ward.

"No master, but I'm afraid they'll find it first," his golden eyes glinting with worry, while he had his hands tucked in the pockets of the uniform.
