Chapter 32 - What's Left

The sun shined brightly over the number one hero school, U.A.

Outside of it, there were countless reporters and news outlets.

They were so abundant that the police had to intervene and try to keep them at bay.

It was currently the first day of school after the U.S.J incident, the public opinion regarding this school was currently at its lowest.

Midoriya walked through the hallways and noticed the absence of people, many parents had made their kids move schools and this was the result.

The news that a student from the most prestigious school had caused a massacre had traveled even overseas.

The school's reputation was ruined, but it was still allowed to run thanks to the efforts of the principal and teachers who fought with everything to allow its existence.

Many had doubts about the education and selection of students that they allowed in their installations.

While the outside was restless, Midoriya finally reached his class, when he opened the door, he saw some students missing.

Uraraka (Gravity girl), Koji (animal guy), Jiro (earphone girl), Sato (Sugar Guy), and Momo.

These people had abandoned the school but they still kept in touch with the students in the class.

Two long weeks passed since that day, the school festival was canceled and there was unrest between the citizens.

Mass murders had been happening since Shinji, his classmate, had escaped.

He didn't believe it was a coincidence.

There were many reports about bodies being found half eaten in alleyways and left to rot.

The amount of villain activity in the night had drastically decreased, though criminality in the day still ran rampant.

'How can he do this? To think the person that fought alongside me could kill innocent people in cold blood and eat them without mercy.'

Midoriya felt sick in the stomach, holding his urge to throw up, he took a seat.

He looked around at the depressing atmosphere, no one was talking, even Bakugo which was always screaming for no reason was silent.

'I miss those days where we were all just a big class with no worries and everything was fine.'

This was all now in the past, those images of the dead bodies haunted him these last few weeks, and it could be seen in his baggy eyes.

Their teacher Aizawa then showed up to class with his body still bandaged all over.

His shoulders were slumped and his body seemed to be without energy.

"Hello class, today we're going to take things easy, I know that what happened has affected you guys. Tomorrow we will be undergoing training again in the U.S.J."

With this statement, everyone was shocked.

'Even with what happened, we are still going to go to that place?' He nervously asked himself.

Midoriya took deep breaths, 'I need to be strong, I will become a hero.'

—--

Aurora was walking through the alleyways of Musutafu without any care in the world.

The dark night offered barely any illumination to walk around but it wasn't the same as a few weeks ago.

If she were to walk through here alone in those times she would be killed or captured in an instant.

Now there was no human presence around these parts.

Navigating through the labyrinth like alleyways became a routine for her, she would hardly ever get lost in this place.

After walking for a few minutes, she saw Shinji, he was perched atop a building looking at the streets below.

She climbed some ladders before arriving at his location.

He noticed her arrival and turned around slowly to look in her direction.

He had changed, the once naive and emotional boy was no longer there.

His gaze felt like it could kill, and his body language showed that he was ready for battle.

Aurora didn't seem to care about these significant changes.

Shinji then moved so fast to her side that he seemed to have teleported, at least to her untrained eyes.

"Aurora, what did I tell you about wandering off on your own while I'm at work?"

There was some emotion on his face, but it quickly vanished.

She gave something to Shinji, "Flower," she said, using her quirk with a slight smile.

He held the flower in his hand and thought about his sister, 'Is she doing okay?'

He didn't know, but he also didn't care anymore.

Shinji picked the small girl in his arms before rushing to his next destination.

While on the way, he noticed the lack of people roaming around, there were none.

What he saw however, were heroes that were actively searching for him.

'It seems that my plan is working.' Shinji thought.

Before he could think about anything else, there was an announcement that could be heard throughout the whole city.

"Everyone, please stay in your homes, it's dangerous to go outside, high villain activity, heroes are working for a solution." This kept repeating in a loop.

"Hahaha." Shinji laughed in a low voice, it took no time for him to go back to being serious.

'It's time for phase two.'

Shinji looked at the heroes below him with a crazy expression on his face.

"Time to start."
