The citadel, once a monument to Aziel's reign of terror, stood silent in the wake of his fall. Sunlight filtered through the cracks in the stone, casting long beams across the ruin. The oppressive darkness that had once hung heavy over the city was gone, but the cost of victory weighed heavily on the survivors. Vardy, Ferah, Tracy, Jesse and Luthor stood at the heart of the shattered citadel, the echoes of the battle still roaming through the air.
Vardy's chest rose and fell in labored breaths, the toll of the final confrontation taking its toll on him. The light within him had faded, leaving a hollow emptiness in its wake. He had given everything to defeat Aziel, but in doing so, he felt the last of his strength slip away.
Ferah knelt beside him, her gaze soft but unwavering. "You did it, Vardy. We did it. The city is safe because of you."
Vardy's eyes met hers, filled with both gratitude and sorrow. "It doesn't feel like we are done yet," he admitted, his voice soothing the situation. "The light is gone. I… I don't know how much longer I can hold on."
Luthor stepped forward, his usual grin now replaced by a solemn expression. "We're not done yet, Vardy. The world's not going to fix itself overnight, you know that right, but we'll rebuild. We've got each other now you can see, and that's what matters now."
Ferah placed a hand on Vardy's shoulder. "You've carried the weight of this fight for far too long. You don't have to do it alone anymore."
Vardy nodded, but there was a distant look in his eyes. Though the battle was over, he couldn't shake the feeling that something darker was still roaming beneath the surface. Aziel's defeat had shattered one part of the darkness, but it had only revealed more questions.
"Where do we go from here?" Vardy asked, his voice laced with uncertainty, trying to figure out the next thing to do. "The fight's not over. I can feel it."
Before either of them could respond, a faint voice echoed through the ruined chamber. "You're right. It's not over."
The three of them turned toward Jesse, his form still faintly glowing with the remnants of his magic. Ferah's eyes widened in surprise. "Jesse! Look at you, she smiled, Tracy wasn't Left out either, it looks like they where both a demigod in their own clothed armour, looks more like Vardy unlocked something worthy of his staff, Vardy's eye widen in dismay, is this why I felt like something came out of me, it's you both, you got to be bestowed by the light.."
Jesse smiled, though his face carried the weight of their shared journey. "I may have been knocked out, but I'm not gone. I'm still with you, same as tracy."
Luthor raised an eyebrow. "So, what's next for us, Jesse? We're gonna have to fight more of these dark warlocks?"
Jesse nodded, his expression serious, his whole body beaming like the light that could blind the eyes. "There's more to this story than we realized. Aziel was just a part of something larger. Something older. The Dark Warlocks still have power, and their influence reaches further than we've seen."
Vardy felt a knot form in his stomach. "What does that mean for us? For the world?"
"It means that the shadows are far from gone," Tracy said, her voice filled with quiet conviction. "But you've proven something tonight. You've shown that the light can still stand against it. That we can fight back."
Ferah looked around at the ruined citadel, her expression determined. "Then let's finish what we started. We'll take the fight to them."
Ah, take the fight to them, he wasn't ready for any more war, he's so tired to the Core,
Who is going to take the fight to them, your so fond of fighting can we take a break please, leaning on the shoulder of Luthor,
They all burst into laughter, I am not ready to take any fight to anyone, I almost lost you guys to this, let take a break please, we leave for the magree, forest by sundown, Tracy who was also scared but ready agreed to Vardy decision, yeah we do that, both Luthor Ferah and Jesse, stared at the both of them with a jest.
Do you want to die entirely?
Jesse asked Vardy, would you get up and get set, we are taking the fight to them, you've always been caught unaware, that how the dark warlock makes his move, he's stares at you in the shadows and see where you are headed to, he won't leave you until you become part of him, or he kills you by his every power within him, for declining his offer and embracing his enemy the light.
"Do you want to die entirely?", he said to him again, asking to be sure of his curiousness, Vardy's eye turned to Tracy and ask "do you want to die entirely?", haha, they all burst into laughter once again. This seems like the joy he has been looking for the peace he always wanted and the family he wished to have back. He looked at each one of their eye's with satisfaction and breathe in with a big smile, I love you guys, they smiled back at him, with a jest and play,
Okay let's be serious now, are we taking the fight to them? Ferah still asked with her serious minded nature.
You're going to be the end of us Ferah, Tracy whispers with a laugh. Alright, even if I look more like a demiGod now with an unknown power, which I don't know how to use, for the sake of the words and for Vardy and all of us right here, I am in. "Ready to go, Luthor?", Ferah called out. Always ready, said Luthor.
Jesse said to Tracy, "I'll teach you ok, don't worry I got your back, we all do this together."
Vardy still smiling sheepishly at them all, Oh my goodness, then you all are good to go without me then,I'll just give Jesse the staff, stretching his arm towards Jesse signaling him to take the staff.
Vardy be serious!, Ferah shouted
Don't you get that I am worn out, I am tired of fighting I don't want to fight anymore,
This is what I am asking for and it's all here right in front of me, you all, and you want me to take it all to fight again? Are you being serious here, Fight? again, ooh No thanks.
It's was a long mixing of words, Vardy was not ready to leave the moment he was having, even though he knew he had to still keep on fighting, even when he knew the time was near, he just wants to spend the moment with his friends, he couldn't bear to lose the chance he was having now to talk to them for anything.
He wasn't ready to trade it for anything or any fight in the world. He moved aside quietly, facing his long term memory with them. Ferah understood where Vardy was coming from, she had pity on him, they all moved closer to him and hugged him so tight, he was the pillar of the team.
They couldn't afford to see him broken in such a way. Jesse used his light to flicker some kind of entertainment in the air, making Vardy brighten up. He said to him, "Vardy! We are all here, and we are just starting to enjoy this journey together."
The decision was made then and there. There was no turning back. The road ahead would be difficult, but they were all ready to face whatever came next, together they were all going to do it.
