Casian blinked, trying to decipher her remark. The anger in Lyra's eyes told him she was truly upset about how he had kept everything related to Rowan under wraps, never once telling her that he knew him.
"So, you're upset because I kept things from you?" He asked, a faint smile curling at the corner of his lips.
Casian had begun to notice how adorable Lyra looked whenever she was upset. Her brows knitted together, a small pout forming on her lips, making her resemble a fierce little cat.
Lyra, however, caught the amusement in his expression, and her anger surged even more. She hated when he didn't take her words seriously, hated it even more when he smiled at her like that, making her feel insignificant.
She knew her life didn't matter to anyone, but to her, it was the only thing her mother had left behind. No matter how much people tried to get rid of her, she refused to waste it.
Unable to stand his mocking grin, Lyra forcefully yanked her hands free and stood up.
