Chapter 4 - Arc 4 The Abduction of Luna

Astrodog stared intently at his holographic map. At last, Luna's spacecraft signal appeared on the radar. Without hesitation, he commanded his fleet to mobilize. Meanwhile, The Void disappeared into another dimension aboard his ship, executing his mysterious plan.

Upon arrival, Astrodog found Astrocat and Luna emerging from the ruins of an ancient, crumbling structure. Without warning, battle erupted. Astrocat bravely stood against Astrodog, determined to protect Luna with all his strength. Luna, too, fought fiercely, wielding her Light Sword to cut down Astrodog's subordinates.

Astrocat unleashed Celestial Impact, his ultimate move, forcing Astrodog onto the defensive. But the warlord did not falter. With a furious growl, Astrodog activated Berserker Wrath, his body engulfed in a fiery red aura. With a single stomp, his axe struck the ground, creating a massive fissure that sent debris flying.

Luna and Astrocat were thrown back by the sheer force. In a flash, Astrodog lunged forward, striking Astrocat with his axe. Weakened and exhausted, Astrocat could no longer hold his ground. Just as Astrodog was about to land the final blow, Luna screamed and surrendered herself.

A satisfied smirk appeared on Astrodog's face. He spared Astrocat and swiftly took Luna aboard his ship. With her wrists bound, Luna wept, watching as Astrocat, with despair in his eyes, screamed her name, "LUNAAA…!"

Rising from the Wounds

With his remaining strength, Astrocat rushed to Luna's spacecraft as Nebula Prime began collapsing. Struggling, he managed to board and activate the auto-flight mode. As the ship left the planet's atmosphere, Astrocat lost consciousness.

When he awoke, he found his wounds had been treated. A mysterious feline spirit stood before him. Astrocat tried to speak, but the entity merely pointed towards a planet—Eldoria Prime—before vanishing.

Still bewildered, Astrocat decided to follow the guidance.

The Trial on Eldoria Prime

Eldoria Prime defied the laws of reality. Time moved unpredictably—sometimes accelerating, sometimes freezing entirely. Each step felt as though Astrocat was walking between colliding dimensions. Floating buildings hovered in midair, the sky shifted colors at random, and the very ground beneath his feet would vanish and reappear elsewhere.

After wandering through the endless pathways, Astrocat finally discovered a glowing hidden doorway amidst the ancient ruins. Upon opening it, he found himself inside a mysterious temple, seemingly the core of all the planet's chaotic energy.

There, he faced Zephiron, the planet's guardian—a majestic, golden-winged eagle-man radiating immense power. Zephiron possessed the ability to halt time momentarily, allowing him to anticipate Astrocat's every move before it was executed. Additionally, an army of robotic avian warriors armed with laser cannons surrounded them, launching relentless attacks.

A fierce battle ensued. Astrocat darted at high speed, striking from multiple angles, but Zephiron anticipated every assault. In a blink, the guardian activated his ability, freezing time for several seconds before swiftly striking Astrocat with razor-sharp talons. Astrocat was thrown back, realizing the challenge of fighting an opponent who could foresee his every move. He had to find a way to overcome Zephiron's advantage before it was too late.

Gasping for breath, Astrocat scanned his surroundings. The chamber was no ordinary hall—it was a battlefield filled with floating mirrors and randomly opening dimensional portals, creating countless reflections and illusions.

Suddenly, an idea struck him. If Zephiron could read his direct movements, the only way to defeat him was to create an attack that struck from multiple directions at once.

Quickly, Astrocat fired a laser at one of the mirrors, causing it to ricochet endlessly, bouncing in unpredictable directions. The barrage of refracted beams overwhelmed Zephiron, forcing him into a defensive stance. Seizing the opportunity, Astrocat slipped through a portal and emerged behind his opponent, delivering a decisive attack that finally brought Zephiron down.

Panting heavily, Astrocat retrieved the Eclipse Prism, which immediately pulsed in his grasp. Now, he possessed the ability to open portals at will and halt time briefly—powers that would aid him in rescuing Luna and confronting even greater threats ahead.

Holding a strand of Luna's hair he found in her spacecraft, Astrocat closed his eyes and focused on the artifact. A violet glow radiated from his palm, forming a pulsating portal. His vision blurred as an energy surge coursed through him, transcending space and time.

Faint images emerged—a colossal fortress amidst a sea of fire, chains binding a captive, and Luna's silhouette suspended in midair. A resolute whisper escaped his lips, "Inferno Prime… Luna is there."

Infiltrating Astrodog's Kingdom

Astrocat arrived on Inferno Prime, a planet engulfed in molten lava with skies permanently bathed in a crimson glow. At its heart stood Astrodog's Fortress—a massive obsidian stronghold adorned with towering spires and statues of fiery-eyed wolf-dogs.

To infiltrate, Astrocat utilized the darkness and treacherous terrain. Using Eclipse Prism, he opened small portals to bypass heavily guarded areas. He froze time in brief intervals, allowing him to slip through corridors undetected.

After stealthily eliminating numerous guards, Astrocat finally reached the fortress's main chamber. There, he saw Luna suspended in midair, her essence being drained by a colossal wolf statue glowing ominously red—the core of a dark ritual.

Just as he was about to rescue her, rapid footsteps echoed through the fortress. Outside, a small spacecraft landed abruptly, its doors opening with a resounding crash. Emerging from within was Azrak, The Void's right-hand enforcer. His sharp gaze darted across the room, taking in every detail. In an instant, he teleported directly before Astrocat, blocking his path.

"You've come too far, space feline," Azrak sneered, unsheathing energy blades from his wrists.

A brutal duel commenced. Azrak moved with blinding speed, leaving afterimages as he attacked. Astrocat struggled to parry the relentless barrage of strikes, each slash of Azrak's energy blades scorching the air.

After a grueling fight, Astrocat unleashed Celestial Impact, channeling cosmic energy into a devastating blast. Azrak took the full force of the attack, his form momentarily dissolving into a translucent sphere.

Azrak was not merely a warrior—he was The Void's eyes, silently relaying every detail of the battle. Before vanishing, his orb-like form flickered once before soaring skyward, disappearing into the darkness, as if reporting directly to his master.

A heavy creaking echoed through the fortress as an enormous gate slowly opened. From within, a towering silhouette emerged, surrounded by a pulsating red aura of raw power. Astrodog stepped into view, his massive form exuding sheer dominance.

Astrodog descended into the main arena with heavy steps that shook the ground, glaring at Astrocat with intense fury. "I have been waiting for this moment," he declared in a deep voice that echoed throughout the castle. Gripping his axe tightly, red energy blazed along its blade.

Astrocat immediately took a defensive stance, his breath still ragged from the battle against Azrak. The great duel began.

Epic Duel: Astrocat vs. Astrodog

Astrodog unleashed his crimson aura, his axe vibrating with destructive power capable of shaking the ground beneath him. He swung his weapon into the air, creating waves of red energy that swept through the room like a storm. Before the attack could reach him, Astrocat vanished with Eclipse Fangs, reappearing from an unpredictable direction. His dark energy strike collided with Astrodog, triggering a massive explosion that rattled the castle to its highest towers.

Their clashing powers ignited the sky above the castle with dazzling sparks. Each exchanged blow tore through the air with raw force. Astrodog's axe clashed with Astrocat's energy-infused claws, creating blinding bursts of red and blue light.

Astrocat attempted to use his time-stopping ability, but Astrodog, with Berserker Wrath, shattered its effect, generating a protective aura that rendered him immune. He slammed his axe into the ground, producing a shockwave that fractured the castle floor and sent debris soaring into the air.

As the battle reached its climax, Astrodog unleashed Infernal Ragnarok, driving his axe into the ground with immense force, igniting an inferno that spread wildly. Flames rose high, nearly consuming Astrocat entirely. But he retaliated with Eclipse Fangs, channeling his cosmic energy into a single, devastating slash that summoned a storm of dark energy.

The collision of their ultimate techniques shook the battlefield. The impact obliterated castle walls and created a massive crater at the heart of the arena. Debris floated in the air, the ground quaked violently, and the sky shifted colors as their unleashed powers clashed. Astrocat was hurled to the ground, barely able to move. His breath was labored, his body seared by energy burns. Standing over him, Astrodog raised his axe, ready to strike the final blow.

Before the axe could fall, a white light radiated from the distance. Time seemed to slow as the light approached, enveloping Astrocat in a golden glow. From within the radiance, a familiar silhouette emerged—Nyx, the feline spirit who had guided him. A gentle voice echoed in his mind, "Rise, Astrocat. Your fate is not yet fulfilled."

Astrocat's eyes widened as an immense surge of energy erupted from within him. White light surrounded his body, instantly healing his wounds and amplifying his aura beyond its previous strength. In an instant, he leaped up, catching Astrodog's axe with a single hand. Astrodog's eyes widened in disbelief at his opponent's sudden transformation.

"It's not over!" Astrocat roared, hurling Astrodog backward with a single energy slash. The battle entered its second round, now fiercer and more intense than before. The sky above them rumbled, the ground trembled, and they clashed again with speed nearly impossible to track with the naked eye. This was the climax of their legendary duel.

Moving at incredible speed, they exchanged rapid strikes. Astrocat briefly halted time, but Astrodog shattered the effect with an even more ferocious Berserker Wrath.

As the final clash approached, Astrodog unleashed Infernal Ragnarok, slamming his axe into the ground and triggering a fiery explosion. Astrocat countered with Eclipse Fangs, channeling all his power into a single strike. The resulting energy surge devastated everything in its path.

In the final moments, as their energy neared depletion, Astrocat channeled his last reserves into the Eclipse Prism. Gasping for breath, he closed his eyes, attuning himself to the pulse of time itself—then suddenly, everything froze.

The winds that had howled moments ago fell silent, floating dust lingered midair, and the raging flames became motionless like a painted scene. In this absolute stillness, Astrocat took a slow step forward, each movement defying the unseen current of time. Raising his claw, he gathered his final energy and lunged forward.

With precise accuracy, he struck the weak point in Astrodog's defense—an attack that would have been impossible under normal circumstances. As the strike landed, time snapped back into motion. The previously suspended energy burst forth in a massive explosion, sending shockwaves across the battlefield.

Astrodog staggered, his body trembling from the unexpected attack. He struggled to remain standing, but his strength failed him. Both warriors collapsed, utterly spent, amidst the smoldering ruins of their battleground.

 The Final Decision

Astrocat awoke in Luna's embrace. Tears streamed down her face as she whispered, "Thank you, Astrocat."

Tears still glistened in Luna's eyes as she held Astrocat's wounded body. The harrowing moments of their escape remained vivid in her mind. As her life force had nearly been drained by the massive wolf statue, a sudden surge of light erupted from within her. A radiant pink and blue aura enveloped her, severing the dark force that had nearly consumed her.

The statue trembled violently, cracks forming across its surface. A deep, enraged growl echoed from within, but Luna's energy surged stronger, repelling the darkness. With one final burst of light, the chains binding her shattered, and she plummeted toward the cold stone floor. Before she could hit the ground, Astrocat had crawled forward to catch her, despite his own wounds from the brutal fight against Astrodog.

Luna bit her lip, her heart still racing from the terrifying ordeal. Her gaze rested on Astrocat, who slowly regained consciousness. His fierce eyes still burned with determination, even as exhaustion weighed on him.

"I thought I had lost you…," Luna's voice quivered with emotion. But with Astrocat by her side, she knew they had won—at least for now.

Rather than ending Astrodog's life, they chose to spare him. As he lay weakened, Astrodog gazed at the darkened sky, his eyes burdened with invisible wounds of the past. His breaths were heavy, and for the first time in this long war, he seemed not like a bloodthirsty warrior, but a weary soul.

"Once… I had someone to protect… my wife."

Astrodog's voice was hoarse, barely a whisper. His eyes were hollow, fixed on the distant stars that barely pierced the smoke-filled sky. "I fought, I killed, I destroyed—believing that if I became strong enough, I could save her. But I still failed. They took her from me, right before my eyes. I screamed, I raged… but nothing could bring her back."

Luna stepped closer, her eyes filled with empathy. "Loss doesn't always have to be answered with more blood, Astrodog."

Astrodog let out a bitter laugh. "That's what I thought for so long. If I was strong enough, if I destroyed them all, then the pain would disappear." He closed his eyes, his breath slowing. "But… it never did. Everything I did only made me feel emptier."

Astrocat, still struggling to stand, met his gaze—not with anger, but understanding. "I know what loss feels like, Astrodog. But we can still choose how to live with it."

In the silence that followed, a single tear slipped from Astrodog's eye. For the first time, he was not broken by battle, but by the weight of his own emotions. With a lighter heart, he accepted his mistakes and chose to become an ally.

Their adventure was far from over. With a new ally, Astrocat and Luna prepared for their greatest challenge yet—The Void.
