Usagi's POV :
"Baka Okami!! Baka!! Baka!!" I keep murmuring under my breath as we step out of the café.
He simply giggles at my reaction.
"Baka!!! Don't you laugh!! You shameless baka!!! Everyone was looking at us!!"
"Hehe~ so what's wrong?" he teases, flashing that infuriatingly cheeky smile as he leans in closer. "I was just teasing my adorable bunny."
A-Ah—!!! This cheeky smile… What do I do with him?!
I puff out my cheeks, trying to glare at him, but—ugh. I can't be mad when he smiles like that.
"Okami-kun! Kiss me right now!" I say confidently, stopping in my tracks.
"H-Huh?! What… what are you saying, baka?!" he whispers, his face turning red. "We're walking on the road! People are everywhere, and you want me to k-kiss you right now?!"
He looks completely flustered, glancing around nervously.
"Hehe~ caught you off guard!" I grin, feeling proud of myself.
His expression shifts from shock to realization, and then—oh no. That mischievous smirk of his appears.
"Oh? So that's how we're playing now, huh?" he says, stepping closer.
W-Wait—why is he looking at me like that?!
I quickly grab his wrists before he can do anything, but he simply shoves my hands away and leans in closer, his voice dropping into a teasing whisper.
"Bunny must know the consequences of teasing a wolf."
Ahh—why does my heart feel like it's going to explode?!
We are still on the road, people are around, and yet he is acting like this! I panic and push him back, my face burning.
He just grins like a smug fox. "Let's go. Have you informed her that we're coming?"
"Ah—y-yeah, I texted her," I mutter, still trying to calm my racing heart.
Ah—his hand! He's touching my waist…
Can't this baka just walk straight!?
I try to ignore it, but then—ahh! Now my shoulder?! Okay… that's fine… but—
AHH! DOWN!!
I immediately grab his hand and shoot him a glare.
He doesn't even flinch. Doesn't even look at me. Just keeps walking forward, all casual, like he isn't touching me at all!
Bad boy!!!
I huff, my face heating up. "O-Okami-kun… keep your hands in check!"
He finally glances at me with that infuriatingly smug smile. "Oh? But I'm just walking normally, Bunny."
I gasp. "Y-you—!"
He chuckles and walks ahead, leaving me standing there, flustered beyond belief.
"Oiii!!" I stop in my tracks, refusing to move.
Okami turns back, raising an eyebrow.
"Oi oi oi, baka!! Baka Okami!!" I huff, crossing my arms. "I'm mad now! Pick me up! Hmphhh!"
He chuckles, shaking his head before jogging back to me. And before I can react—
Whoosh!
With ease, he scoops me up in a bridal carry, holding me effortlessly as he starts walking toward Hina's apartment.
Ehhh?!
"Hehe, this road is narrow, no people around…" I mumble under my breath, trying to convince myself that this is totally fine.
But then—I look up at his face.
Ahh…
His expression is relaxed, but his sharp eyes hold a warmth that makes my heart race. He looks so good up close.
I instinctively grip his jacket tightly near his shoulder and chest, trying to ground myself.
He chuckles again, his arms adjusting slightly around me as he makes eye contact.
Ahhh!!!
On second thought—this is too embarrassing!!!
I quickly bury my face against his chest, my ears burning as we near Hina's apartment—just two blocks away.
As soon as he puts me down and we step into the elevator, I know what's coming.
Ninth floor. Empty elevator. Just the two of us.
Here it comes…
The moment the doors slide shut, he presses the button for the 9th floor—then turns to me with that look.
Before I can react, he grabs both of my hands, pinning them above my head against the cold elevator wall.
H-Huh?!
"Okami—mmph!"
His lips crash against mine, stealing away my breath in an instant. His other hand snakes around my neck, holding me firmly in place.
Hah… This… This is making my knees weak!
I squirm, my fingers twitching in his grip, wanting—needing—to hold onto him.
But he isn't letting go.
And then—his tongue.
B-Baka!!
A helpless whimper escapes my throat as he deepens the kiss, pressing even closer. My body trembles under his touch, my heart pounding like crazy.
This is too much.
Too intense.
Yet, at the same time…
I don't want him to stop.
The moment he lets go of my hands, I instinctively cling to his shoulders, my fingers gripping his jacket tightly.
But he doesn't stop.
His hands roam lower, slipping under my top, fingertips grazing my waist. A shiver runs through me as I bite back a gasp.
Hah—this is… too much!
My body feels like it's melting under his touch. My mind is spinning, completely consumed by him.
Ding!
The elevator comes to a halt.
Ninth floor.
Wait—!
In a panic, I push him back just before the doors slide open.
I barely manage to catch my breath before stepping out, face burning, heart pounding wildly in my chest.
Baka Okami…!
I shoot him a glare, but that only makes his grin widen. His sharp fang peeks out as he licks his lips—ugh, just like a wolf!
My heart refuses to calm down.
Baka…!
I turn away quickly and press the doorbell, still struggling to catch my breath. My face is still burning. I can feel the heat creeping down my neck.
Behind me, Okami chuckles lowly. "What's wrong, bunny? Out of breath already?"
Baka!!
I clench my fists. If Hina doesn't open this door in the next five seconds, I'm going to lose my mind!
"Coming!" Hina's voice calls from the other side of the door.
As she opens it, a teasing smirk spreads across her face. "Come in, lovebirds!"
I feel my face heat up again, but before I can protest, Okami just chuckles and walks in like it's nothing. Baka!
We settle on the couch, and soon Hina returns with three glasses of juice. She sits across from us, crossing her legs as she gives me a knowing look.
"So… about what you said in your text, Usagi," she starts, sipping her drink. "You want to publish Okami's novel online?"
I nod firmly. "Yes!"
