Chapter 68 - The Great Resurrection!

"Why is there so much dark negative energy?"

Angewomon didn't know about the side effects of Dragon Ball wishes. She sensed Moss was surprised, but not alarmed, and realized this negative energy must've been within Moss's expectations. Still, she asked the question.

Moss explained its origin: "If too much negative energy builds up, the Shenron that grants wishes can transform into an Evil Dragon that brings disaster to the world."

Angewomon sighed. "It seems we've been quite tied to dragons these past months."

The last world's Holy Lord was also an evil dragon.

Moss smiled. "Which is why we have to prevent Evil Dragons from being born. The way to do that is to claim their spot—walk the Evil Dragon's path so they have nowhere left to go."

The Seven Demon Lords and Eight Demon Kings would surely approve.

Truthfully, the Wish Shenron's soul—holding both wish-making and negative energy—was a perfect match for Moss, who not only had the Tiger Talisman but also wielded both light and darkness.

If everything went well, she might even gain the power of an Evil Dragon!

In GT, Evil Dragons varied in strength. Some could rival Super Saiyan 4, others were so weak they couldn't even beat Pan, Goku's granddaughter. But even the weakest of them had battle power in the millions.

That would be tens of thousands of times Moss's current strength—maybe even more.

Moss continued: "Once our power multiplies tens of thousands of times, and we add in a few special techniques like the Evil Containment Wave or Kikoho—heh! Cell will be gone with a snap!"

Cell was a monster made from the genes of countless powerful fighters, inheriting their abilities and techniques.

Which meant he could also use the Evil Containment Wave—and even reverse it.

So using it to seal Cell would likely be impossible.

As for the Kikoho—

That was Tien Shinhan's signature move. Cell could use it too, but only the old version. By the time of the Android Saga, Tien had already upgraded it to the Neo Kikoho.

The Neo Kikoho was strong enough for Tien to suppress Cell's second form—if only briefly.

That version of Cell already had battle power beyond that of a standard Super Saiyan, and yet he was overwhelmed by Tien's attack with no chance to fight back.

That alone proved how terrifying Neo Kikoho could be.

Tien, though highly skilled, had limited potential due to his human physiology. Still, if you started with a base battle power in the millions, a Neo Kikoho might very well destroy Second Form Cell completely.

"You..."

Angewomon didn't know what the Evil Containment Wave or Kikoho were, but figured they were techniques. She couldn't help but laugh.

Still, she was worried about Moss attempting to control negative energy. Even with the Tiger Talisman's power of balance, it was still risky.

She warned in a serious tone: "Moss, when you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you. When you fight dragons, be careful not to become one."

Clearly, Angewomon had been reading more than just tech manuals—there was some philosophy mixed in too.

Moss felt a warmth in her heart, like being wrapped in motherly care. She nodded seriously and replied, "Mm. I'll be careful."

Reaching a million in battle power was a must. Otherwise, everything was just fantasy.

Moss calmed herself and began probing the negative energy inside the Wish Shenron's soul.

Negative energy shared properties with dark magic—and she'd just trained her control over it last month. Now, feeling the flow of negative energy was almost second nature.

She guided a strand of it, and with the Tiger Talisman's cheat-like power of balance, she directed it to flow exactly as she pleased—up, down, left, right.

Tiger Talisman, you're the best!

A smile formed at Moss's lips.

Next—she began expanding the amount of negative energy she could control...

Meanwhile, on New Namek—

After Grand Elder Moori agreed to Moss's request, he immediately summoned a Namekian named Dende: "Dende, go gather the Dragon Balls."

Unlike Earth's Dragon Balls, which scatter around the globe after granting a wish, the Namekian Dragon Balls remain in place, each kept by one of the seven village elders.

Namekians weren't many in number. Though they had seven "villages," each only housed a dozen or so residents.

To gather the Dragon Balls, one normally had to pass each elder's test.

But time was of the essence. As Grand Elder, Moori waived those trials.

Soon after, Dende returned with six Dragon Balls and presented them to Moori, who added the seventh from his personal safekeeping.

With all seven Namekian Dragon Balls united, Dende began chanting the summoning incantation in the Namekian language.

A massive figure emerged—not the slim form of Earth's Shenron, but a burly being covered in muscular knots, more like the Holy Lord.

Porunga had arrived—and the skies turned dark.

New and Old Namek had different coordinates, but identical environments—three suns and no night.

Thus, only during Shenron summoning would the sky darken.

Porunga looked down at the Namekians below and boomed: "You who have gathered the seven Dragon Balls, state your wishes. I can grant three."

Porunga's ability to grant three wishes already made him superior to Earth's Shenron.

If he were arrogant, he might even call Earth's Shenron a "lesser Shenron," like how lower-class Saiyans are viewed.

But no—Porunga was kinder than Earth's Shenron, like a benevolent old dragon.

In the Namekian tongue, Dende made the first wish: "Porunga, please show us what has happened on Earth over the past twenty years."

Unlike Earth's Shenron, Porunga didn't boast about how "easy" the request was—he simply fulfilled it, silently transmitting the memories of Earth's past two decades into the minds of the Namekians.

"Piccolo!"

"Krillin!"

Seeing Piccolo and Krillin die in those memories, Dende's eyes welled up.

Piccolo was his kin and had fused with Nail, Dende's brother. Dende had always projected his feelings for Nail onto Piccolo.

Krillin, on the other hand, was one of his three closest Earthling friends.

"Gohan...!"

Watching adult Gohan's heroic death broke him further—another of his three dearest friends.

The last was Bulma.

She had been a benefactor to the Namekian people.

Though she hadn't died, she had lost everything—friends, husband, parents, even her only son. Tragedy upon tragedy.

She had devoted over twenty years of her life to saving the world, only to lose everything.

Especially gut-wrenching was the look on her face when she found her son's body—desperate, crushed. For the warm-hearted, empathetic Namekians, it was unbearable.

If not for that "Moss" from another world contacting them, who knows what might've happened?

Dende looked to Grand Elder Moori and pleaded, "Please allow me to use the Dragon Balls to bring them back."

Moori didn't even hesitate. "Miss Bulma once gave shelter to us when we had none. Now it's time to repay her kindness."

Dende spoke the second wish to Porunga—to resurrect all people on Earth who had died due to the Androids.

Porunga used to only be able to revive one person at a time.

But since the move to New Namek, Grand Elder Moori had enhanced his power—Porunga could now perform mass resurrections.

Dende added a condition: "Evil people excluded."

What counted as "evil"?

If they went to Hell, they were considered evil. King Yemma had already judged these souls, so Porunga simply needed to revive those not sent to Hell.

Porunga asked, "Most of these people have already been reincarnated. Do you still wish to revive them?"

Revivals of reincarnated souls meant killing their new bodies and forcing their souls and minds back into their past selves.

Kindhearted Dende couldn't allow that. "Exclude the reincarnated as well."

Porunga nodded, and his eyes flashed bright red.

With the evil and reincarnated excluded, over 99% were disqualified—only a few could be revived.

Mainly Future Trunks, Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu.

They sensed the resurrection coming—and had the strength to reject it if they wanted.

A one-armed young man in an orange gi said, "Someone's used the New Namek Dragon Balls… was it Aunt Bulma?"

It was Gohan.

The purple-haired young man beside him shook his head. "No, Mom doesn't know New Namek's coordinates. Even if she did, she couldn't have reached it this quickly."

That was Future Trunks.

Nearby, a crab-haired man chuckled. "Looks like you're all going back to the living world."

"Dad…" Gohan looked at him, reluctant.

The crab-haired man was Son Goku.

A green-skinned figure in a white cape said, "Old Goku died of illness—natural causes. He can't be revived."

"Uncle Piccolo…" Gohan looked over, sighing.

Piccolo turned to Future Trunks and said, "I just asked Porunga. This resurrection excludes evil people."

Piccolo had connected with Porunga telepathically and understood the wish.

He added, "Vegeta's soul is in Hell. He's classified as evil and can't be brought back."

Trunks was clearly saddened.

But it couldn't be helped. The two evil Androids were demons, and Vegeta had committed similar atrocities on other planets. His sins were grave.

Though he had begun to change in his final years, without some galaxy-saving feat, his karma wouldn't be balanced.

Gohan patted Trunks on the shoulder.

Trunks composed himself, and together with Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu, they all turned toward Goku—the only one who couldn't be revived.

Goku, ever cheerful, smiled and waved. "Everyone—see you later!"

"…"

Everyone was speechless. To see him again, they'd have to die first. How was that a comforting farewell?

In the next moment, Porunga's power took effect—and their forms vanished from the afterlife.

They returned to the world of the living.

Each revived where their body had been.

Future Trunks opened his eyes in the cryo-chamber. Sitting up and glancing around, still dazed—

And then he was suddenly hugged.

He gently wrapped his arms around her and whispered:

"Mom… I'm back."
