"Your second wish has been granted."
On New Namek, Porunga spoke calmly.
Dende and Grand Elder Moori exchanged a joyful glance. Smiling, Dende voiced the third wish: "Restore Earth to how it was before the Androids destroyed it."
Porunga turned his gaze toward Earth, and red light burst from his eyes.
At the same time, massive changes began to take place on Earth.
Bulma, crying tears of joy as she hugged the newly resurrected Trunks, hadn't even had time to speak with her son when the ground suddenly began to shake.
Trunks instinctively shielded his mother.
The tremors came fast and left just as quickly. In a blink, all was calm again.
"Must've been an earthquake..." Bulma muttered, moving toward the window. But when she looked outside, her eyes widened in shock.
For over twenty years, this view had been nothing but ruins. But now—
Clean streets. Towering buildings.
Aside from the absence of people, it looked exactly like it had decades ago!
Trunks suddenly said, "Mom, Gohan and the others are coming."
He'd sensed the ki of Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, and the others drawing closer.
They had flown over immediately after being resurrected, and within moments, they landed in front of Bulma.
There were greetings all around, cheerful chatter, and the air was filled with joy.
In the midst of it all, Bulma asked, "What about Goku and Vegeta?"
"..."
Everyone exchanged looks before explaining that Goku had died of natural causes and Vegeta was in Hell.
Bulma sighed heavily.
To lighten the mood, Krillin asked, "By the way, who used the New Namek Dragon Balls to bring us back?"
They all turned to Bulma curiously.
Realizing what had happened, Bulma said, "It must've been Moss."
"Moss?"
They all looked at one another—none of them had heard this name before.
Who was this mysterious savior?
Bulma explained, "She's someone from another world. A very beautiful girl."
Hearing that, Krillin and Yamcha's eyes lit up.
Piccolo remained unaffected—Namekians have no gender and no interest in such matters.
Gohan and Trunks were only slightly surprised, without thinking much of it.
Tien and Chiaotzu weren't moved either.
Bulma continued, "I told her where Korin Tower was. About an hour later, the sky turned dark."
Everyone knew what that meant—Shenron had been summoned.
She added, "When the sky cleared, I saw that Trunks wasn't revived, and I thought something went wrong. I didn't expect you guys to have been brought back by the New Namek Dragon Balls."
Piccolo chuckled and said, "So she went to the Lookout above Korin Tower, somehow revived Shenron, and used his power to contact New Namek."
That explained everything.
Porunga had resurrected them, and surely restored the cities as well.
While Porunga merely granted the wish, the one who made it—Moss—was the real hero.
"She saved us. We should thank her in person," said Gohan.
Trunks nodded in agreement. "Gohan's right."
Everyone exchanged glances and unanimously decided to head to the Lookout.
—
Meanwhile, at the Lookout—
Moss gathered a bit of negative energy in her right palm, condensed it into a small sphere, and hurled it at an empty tin can in the distance.
Bang!
The can shattered instantly.
"Pretty powerful," Moss muttered, then focused on the remaining negative energy within the Wish Shenron's soul.
There was less now.
It had definitely decreased.
Just a tiny amount, like a drop in the ocean—but it had indeed diminished, with no signs of recovery.
Using negative energy was like pouring water—it's fine if you move it between hands, but once spilled, there's no getting it back.
In other words, negative energy would keep decreasing as it was used—and it wouldn't regenerate naturally.
So, how could it be replenished?
Simple. Since it was born from making wishes, making more wishes would generate more.
"But if the negative energy increases even just 10% more, I won't be able to control it—unless my control strength doubles..."
Thanks to the Tiger Talisman, Moss was able to manage the negative energy generated by the Wish Shenron's soul. But even so, she could sense the limits of the talisman.
The Tiger Talisman's balancing power wasn't limitless. It wasn't some unbreakable rule or conceptual force—it was still, at its core, just a magic derived from Shendu.
And all magic had limits.
The fact that the negative energy could be controlled meant it wasn't too strong yet, and hadn't gained a will of its own.
If it became any stronger—or developed a struggling consciousness—then even with the Tiger Talisman, Moss wouldn't be able to handle it easily.
At that point, it wouldn't be a weapon—it'd be a burden.
"That energy is dangerous. I suggest you stop using it."
A voice called out from the warehouse entrance.
Moss didn't flinch. She simply turned her head.
Standing there was an elderly Namekian, nearly 2.5 meters tall, wearing a white robe adorned with the kanji for "Kami," draped in a dark blue cloak, and holding a wooden staff.
Kami.
With Piccolo revived, Earth's Kami had also returned.
Moss had expected his revival, so she just smiled and said, "Thanks for the warning, Kami. But it's still within my control."
Sensing her confidence, Kami didn't push the issue. Instead, he said, "Shenron is within you now."
"How about that as a reward for reviving us?"
Moss had no intention of returning the Wish Shenron's soul. She wanted both the power of wishes and the power of negative energy.
Kami nodded. "No problem. Shenron shall be your reward."
He paused, then added, "But still… is there anything else you need?"
Had he not been revived, Shenron would've remained useless. He felt a mere soul transfer wasn't enough to repay Moss.
Moss asked, "Is there a room here that lets you go back to the past?"
Kami nodded. "There is a room that allows you to experience the past."
"Experience?" Moss raised an eyebrow.
Kami explained, "The room doesn't actually send you into the past. It projects history—letting you enter the images. You can speak with ancient sages or seek their guidance."
So it was a magical room that recorded history...
Moss thought of the Chronicle of Ages.
She asked, "Can you change the past? Or pull someone out from it?"
If the projected images could talk and offer guidance, logic didn't entirely apply. So it was worth asking—maybe there was a loophole.
Kami broke into a sweat. It was the first time he'd heard such a question.
He replied thoughtfully, "They are just projections. Whatever happens in there has no effect on real history—and you certainly can't pull real people out of a recording."
"...That's a shame." Moss sighed.
Kami had never considered it before. But now that he did, it really was a missed opportunity.
Imagine bringing Earth's greatest minds and warriors from every era into one place…
Combining their knowledge and wisdom would surely result in unprecedented achievements!
Even someone as composed as Kami felt a thrill at the idea.
But—no. It wasn't possible.
Kami collected himself, wiped the sweat from his brow, and asked, "Do you want to return to the past?"
Moss nodded. "There's someone I really want to punch. He went back to the past… but in another parallel world."
"Someone you want to punch?"
Kami paused and said, "The Room of History only connects to recorded events. If that person went to a parallel world, then it won't help you."
After all, no matter how detailed the records were, they couldn't reach into alternate timelines.
Moss understood and sighed. "So I still have to rely on Bulma's time machine."
That was also why she made her third wish to restore Earth's environment.
The fact that Bulma had already created one time machine meant the technology was viable—what she lacked were the resources to build another.
And with Earth in ruins, collecting resources had become as inefficient as the Stone Age.
Now that Earth was restored—and with Bulma's resources as its wealthiest person—what used to take years could now be done in days.
Setting that aside, Moss said, "I want to learn the Kikoho."
Kami paused. "The Kikoho… someone far more suited to teaching you is already on their way."
With that, he led Moss outside the temple.
And as she stepped into the sunlight—
She saw a familiar figure.
