Inside Babidi's spaceship, a tall figure sensed the movements of the Z Fighters across Earth and let out a surprised "Hmm?"
"What's wrong, Dabura?" Babidi asked while using his crystal ball to monitor the situation in West City, his curiosity piqued by the reaction.
"My apologies, Lord Babidi," Dabura replied. "This planet is not the same as when I investigated it three hundred years ago—there are many strong fighters now."
After a moment of contemplation, he analyzed, "They must have emerged during these past three centuries. They're currently flying toward the divine emissary's location."
Babidi murmured, "This is unexpected, but if those people are her companions, then they must also have pure energy."
With a gleam in his eyes, he chuckled sinisterly, "Then let's play a little rescue-the-princess game and make them hand over that energy. That way, Majin Buu's resurrection will be within reach."
"You're absolutely right, Lord Babidi!" Dabura fawned before adding with a smile, "In that case, we'll need a princess."
The two shared a knowing glance, turning their gaze to the crystal ball and fixing it on Moss—whose invisibility had been dispelled by Pui's energy burst.
What a fitting damsel in distress this beautiful woman would make.
"Pui, capture her!" Babidi commanded telepathically.
Just then, Dabura smirked, "Lord Babidi, it seems we have visitors."
Unbothered, Babidi changed the crystal ball's view to the spaceship's surroundings. On a patch of empty ground lay three bodies—two adults and a child, clearly a family.
The man was in a pool of blood, the child's neck twisted, and the woman's lower half missing.
Babidi didn't flinch. His subordinates had done it, and human lives didn't concern him. He continued scanning and found two figures hiding behind a rock—a short one and a tall one.
It was Supreme Kai Shin and his attendant Kibito.
"Hmph, the Supreme Kai who killed my father ages ago," Babidi said calmly, a twisted grin forming. "Capture him. I'll enjoy torturing him to death. Hehehe…"
"Yes," Dabura nodded.
…
Meanwhile in West City—
Pui, having received Babidi's orders, took a few steps toward Moss, only to see her dart back swiftly.
"Full Body Sync: JudgementBeast Soul!"
A magic circle appeared before Moss. As she passed through it, her outfit transformed into the skin-tight combat armor of the JudgementBeast—sleek and predatory.
"Ah, so you use magic too?" Pui chuckled, suddenly firing a ki blast—not at Moss, but toward Bulma and the others in the distance.
"!"
Moss's heart clenched, and she instantly flashed between them and the blast.
Pui grinned, delighted. "As expected of a divine emissary—so selfless! Truly touching! Hahaha!"
It was a dirty tactic—forcing Moss to stay put by threatening civilians.
Could she withstand it?
Not likely.
Though she had improved thanks to training at the Lookout, her overall strength was still limited.
"This blast isn't any weaker than one of Cell's ki bombs," she thought.
If she took it head-on, the result would be the same as the time Cell's attack hit her—except back then, she was alone and protected by the Dog Talisman.
Now, though she still had the talisman, Bulma and the others would be obliterated.
So—
She raised her arms, palms facing forward, thumbs touching, and left fingers over the right, forming a diamond-shaped opening.
Full infusion of negative energy!
"Ki Cannon!"
A four-edged, dark-red energy torrent erupted, brimming with evil.
Pui's face twisted in shock. "Wha—!? Isn't she supposed to be a divine emissary!? Why such evil power!?"
He gritted his teeth and powered up—but it was no use.
The negative Ki Cannon tore through his blast and engulfed him entirely. His body twisted grotesquely before being vaporized into dust.
"Huff… huff…"
Moss lowered her hands, panting. The negative energy drain left her exhausted, though the Dog Talisman quickly restored her stamina.
Soon, she stabilized.
She surveyed the damaged area—thankfully, she had adjusted the blast angle to only destroy a few buildings.
Nowadays, Earth had a sparse population—just tens of thousands. Even a city like West City had fewer than ten thousand residents. Most buildings stood empty due to fear of future apocalyptic threats.
Moss canceled her magic transmission and turned to Bulma's group. "Everyone okay?"
They nodded.
Soon after, Trunks, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu arrived. They had sensed the dark energy and rushed over.
"The second evil presence… that was me," Moss said plainly.
Everyone exchanged stunned glances.
"Are you kidding?" Krillin and Yamcha asked, incredulous.
How could someone so angelic emit such darkness?
"It's complicated," Moss said. She wasn't in the mood to explain. Her negative energy reserves were now gone, which meant her plan to blast Cell was ruined.
With the current recharge rate of the Great Demon King Seal, she'd need at least two and a half years to rebuild the same level of energy.
But she had less than twenty days left in this world.
She clenched her fists. "I must blast Cell. Otherwise, I'll never be at peace!"
The others picked up on her solemn expression and assumed using that power had come at great cost.
Suddenly—whoosh!
A tall figure appeared: Kibito.
He was battered and bloodied.
His eyes lit up upon seeing Trunks and Gohan. "Such powerful energy… perhaps they can save the Supreme Kai!"
"Who are you?"
"No energy? Another android?" Suspicion rose among the Z Fighters.
Kibito barked, "I am Kibito, the Supreme Kai's most loyal servant!"
Gohan and Piccolo exchanged glances. "Isn't the servant of God that Mr. Popo guy?"
Kibito huffed, "I speak of the Supreme Kai!"
"The what now?" No one knew what that was.
Moss explained, "He's the god above all other gods."
Everyone was shocked.
"Another kind of god?" Trunks, Gohan, and Krillin gasped.
Piccolo scoffed, "A big shot, huh?"
In this timeline, Piccolo hadn't fused with Kami, so hearing about the Supreme Kai didn't faze him.
"You know of him?" Kibito blinked.
Moss stepped forward, "Where is the Supreme Kai?"
Clearly, something had gone wrong. Kibito alone, injured? It was obvious.
"He's in danger! You must hurry and save him, or the whole universe could be at risk!"
Trunks, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu were all ready to leap into action.
Kibito remained stoic outwardly, but inwardly he rejoiced. The Supreme Kai would be saved!
"Wait," Moss said suddenly.
Everyone paused.
Kibito snapped, "What are you waiting for? If something happens to the Supreme Kai, it'll be your fault!"
Moss ignored the guilt trip and coldly stated, "Babidi."
Kibito's fury turned to shock. "How do you—?"
She pointed at the rubble. "I just defeated one of his men."
Kibito looked, then nodded grimly. "Yes… the Supreme Kai has been captured by Babidi."
A humiliating truth.
They had tracked Babidi's base using the souls of Yamu and Spopovich—but it had been a trap. Kibito escaped thanks to instant transmission, then came here for help.
He'd sensed their powerful energy and dared to hope.
"So we must hurry," he urged.
"You don't want anything to happen to the Supreme Kai, do you?" Moss asked.
"Of course not!" Kibito said proudly. "I am his most loyal servant!"
"…That's nothing to brag about," Moss thought. Aloud, she said, "Then take us to the Supreme Kai Realm."
"What?!" Kibito panicked. The Supreme Kai Realm was sacred. Mortals couldn't go there.
"No mortals allowed!" he protested.
Moss smiled dazzlingly. "Still clinging to old rules when your master's in danger? Some loyal servant you are."
Those words stabbed into Kibito's heart.
Am I… disloyal!?
Guilt-ridden, he folded. "F-Fine. I'll take you…"
Moss gave a soft, soothing smile. "Don't feel bad—it's part of our plan to rescue him and gain strength."
That seemed to encourage him.
Just then, a new voice interrupted: "Then let's have a Supreme Kai showdown."
A towering figure stepped forward—pink skin, blue outfit, white cape.
"Dabura!" Kibito was terrified, trembling.
The arrogance he had shown earlier was gone. This was the King of the Demon Realm—the one who had captured the Supreme Kai and beaten Kibito.
The Z Fighters tensed. Even Moss braced herself.
This opponent was no joke.
But—at least Gohan was here.
"Hmph…" Dabura sneered. He scanned the group, his gaze lingering on Moss.
He had intended to kidnap her as the "princess," but now had a better prize: the Supreme Kai.
"Ten days from now, we'll settle this in a Supreme Kai showdown. If you don't come, he dies," Dabura said.
"And don't think he'll go to the afterlife. I'll take his soul to the Dark Demon Realm to wander forever."
With that, he vanished.
Back at the base, Dabura reported, "Their energy will help release Majin Buu. But they're still too weak."
Babidi narrowed his eyes. "So you're giving them ten days to grow stronger? Aren't you afraid they'll surpass you?"
Dabura laughed confidently, "They won't surpass me in a hundred years."
Babidi asked again, "What about the divine emissary? She killed Pui in an instant."
Dabura shrugged. "That attack was clearly a forbidden technique—evil and draining. She's the weakest of them now."
Convinced, Babidi chuckled. "Let them come back two or three more times. We'll gather all the energy we need. Hehehe…"
With Dabura on his side, he was sure—the advantage was his.
