"Gab was seen in the Central Perk with the gang. It was a rare break he had from college and all of his tutoring duties, so he was just enjoying the conversation they were having when suddenly, Phoebe walked in.
"Hey guys!" Phoebe greeted.
"Hey, Pheebs, how's the date?" Gabe asked as everyone greeted her.
Phoebe: Uhmm, not so good. He said, 'We should do it again.'
Ross: Ohh, that's rough, sorry, Pheebs.
"Yeah, sorry, Pheebs." Everyone offered their condolences while Rachel was confused by the interaction.
Rachel: What? He said, 'We should do it again,' right? Isn't that good?
Gabe: Well, not exactly. I mean, how do I explain this to a former cheerleader who always got a second date? Any ideas, Mon?
Monica: I got this. It's like the dating world's way of saying, 'You will never see me naked'; it just cleans up the dialogue.
Rachel: Since when?
Joey: Since always. It's the language of dating, like when they say, 'It's not you,' it means, 'It is you.'
Chandler: Or when they say, 'You are such a nice guy,' it means, 'I would be dating raging alcoholics and complain about it to you.'
Phoebe: Ohhh, I got one too. You know, when they say they think you should see other people, it means he already is.
Rachel: So, everyone knows about this?
Gabe: Not you, apparently, but this is just to cushion the blow rather than directly hurt you.
Chandler: Yeah, it's like when you're a kid, and your parents put your dog to sleep, and they tell you it went off to live on some farm.
While everyone agreed, even Rachel, Ross suddenly remembered their dog Chi-Chi.
Ross: Funny you should say that, our dog got sent to the farm by our parents.
"Uhmm, Ross?" Monica said softly while looking sorry for Ross.
"What? Wh- hello? The Millners' farm in Connecticut? The Millners, they had this unbelievable farm, they had horses and rabbits that he could chase, and it was- it w- .....Oh my God, Chi Chi!" Ross, while describing the farm, slowly realized the truth.
"Wait, is that the dog that Monica sat on and then required surgery?" Gabe asked while the rest of the gang laughed, except for Monica.
After the weekend, Gabe was back to his old routine. He was seen at the university, but this time, it was different. Today, there were exams for Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, and Calculus. He wasn't exactly worried about the quiz for himself, but instead, he was worried for the ones he tutored.
He might be a reincarnated person and have the maturity of a 23-year-old (which isn't that mature), but he still has pride in this world, especially after all the efforts he spent tutoring his classmates. Even though it's paid tutoring, he would feel like a failure if they failed even one subject or at least didn't get an A.
For the first quiz in Organic Chemistry, he couldn't help but think that the questions in the exam were much easier to answer than the ones he gave as an assessment for his tutees. He then realized that his students would pass without any hiccups since they had all passed the assessment with high scores.
This became evident as, just after 5 minutes, he answered all the questions with confidence and immediately passed the paper to the professor. The professor, clearly knowing Gabe's capabilities, just checked his paper since there was nothing else to do.
He got a perfect score as expected, an A+. But maybe after 30 minutes of waiting, his students in the tutor group stood up and passed their papers to the professors too. All of them also got perfect scores, which shocked the professors since he gave a hard exam and made sure that it would not give other students a C+ rating or higher. However, six of his other students all got an A, maybe not A+ as Gabe did, but still, it was impressive.
"How did you do it?" the professor couldn't help but ask.
"Well, we have a great tutor," the students answered.
Professor: Who is it?
Gabe: It was me. We have study sessions every day in the library.
Professor: Do you have the proper papers to do that, just so this doesn't become an issue and hurt your status as you are a brilliant young man? I don't want to see a great academic compromising their future.
Gabe: Don't worry, professor. The moment they approached me for tutoring, I processed my documents, and since it was on campus, it was easier for the application to be accepted.
Professor: Good. If you have any problems, don't hesitate to ask the faculty.
Gabe: Thank you, professor.
Gabe and the other students then proceeded to take their respective quizzes in the other subjects, all doing so confidently. After taking the quiz, Gabe was going home since he didn't have any other agenda, but he was invited to dinner by his classmates whom he was tutoring. They all thanked him since they answered all the quizzes with the confidence that their answers were right. After that, only Ozzy was seen in the diner since all of them went home to their families to share the good news.
Ozzy: Man, I can't believe that I answered all of my quizzes knowing the answers. It doesn't even make any sense. Every question is like this and this and this, and it was just so easy to answer.
Gabe: You just studied my materials seriously. That's the biggest factor here.
Ozzy: Nah, man, I think you may have magic powers or something. Like, are you Doogie Howser in college?
Gabe: He was already a doctor at 16, so I'm a bit late, but I think my career path would be like that.
Ozzy: What department are you planning to focus on if you become a doctor?
Gabe: Neurosurgery. I want to take the challenge, plus I want to have two or three specializations. I want to be able to help as many people as possible.
Ozzy: I wish I had that kind of agenda. I just want to become a Dermatologist to have more money and then not have as many responsibilities.
Gabe: Well, everyone has their motivation. If that's your true motivation, who am I to judge? And let's be honest, who doesn't like money?
Their conversation continued until it was past 9 PM. Gabe and Ozzy then said their goodbyes and went home. After an 11-minute cab commute, Gabe arrived at Monica's apartment. When he went inside, he saw them having a discussion.
Ross: The way he makes me feel about myself.
Everyone: Yeah!!
Gabe: Uhmmm, what's going on, guys?
Rachel: Ohhh, Gabe, where were you? You just missed the most perfect boyfriend Monica brought home.
Ross: Yeah, we will have a brother-in-law soon.
Gabe: Uhmmm, Mon? Why are they acting weirder than normal?
Monica: Ohh, ignore them. They just like my new boyfriend, Alan.
Joey: Hell yeah, we love Alan, don't we, guys?
Everyone: Yeah.
Gabe: Okay, I'm way too tired to deal with your nonsense today, so I'm just gonna head out.
Phoebe: Wait, Gabe! Don't you wanna know about Alan?
"No, I'm good," Gabe said while leaving. He didn't need to since he knew who Alan was and what would happen in the future. He just went home to Ross's apartment and went to sleep after getting ready for bed.
A few weeks had passed since that happened, and he continued attending his classes and the tutoring sessions. After one particularly late session that ran longer because the midterms were approaching and everyone wanted to start studying early, he went to
Monica's apartment only to see the gang acting like they had all gone through a breakup.
Gabe: Uhmmm, hey guys, you all okay?
Everyone: Hey, we will be alright.
Ross: Monica is breaking up with Alan.
Gabe: Why are you all affected? Are you the one in a relationship with Alan?
"We were pretty close with Alan. You would think we were all in a relationship with Alan. We were all going on trips and adventures together," Phoebe explained.
Rachel: Remember when we went to Central Park and rented boats? That was fun.
Ross: Yeah. He could row like a Viking.
Gabe: Okay, you need to cut that out; it's getting weird.
"Hi." Monica then came in the door.
All: Mmm.
Ross: So how'd it go?
Monica: Oh, y'know...
Phoebe: Did he mention us?
Monica: He said he's gonna miss you guys.
"Why are you answering that?" Gabe whispered to Monica.
Monica: Just let it go. They had a tough night.
"You also had a rough night. You just broke up with someone," Gabe said to Monica, who was then called by Ross.
"Come here, Mon. I'm sorry about tonight," Ross said while giving Monica a hug and comforting her.
Chandler: ...That's it. I'm getting cigarettes.
All: No, no, no!
Gabe: Come on, man, you know I'm a Pre-med student. I know all the dangers of smoking.
Chandler: I don't care, I don't care! Game's over! I'm weak! I've gotta smoke! I've gotta have the smoke!
Phoebe: If you never smoke again, I'll give you seven thousand dollars!
Chandler: Yeah, alright.
Gabe: Wow, money is a great way to convince anyone to start rehab."
