Chapter 20
The big players just watch after killing the other two generals, they regroup again on the wall, and Kyle says:
"I don't know if we will meet... 'All', again here after this, so I want to say, it has been an honor to fight alongside all of you."
The others are all saying the same thing:
"We all feel the same, it has been an honor."
But Melody says something else:
"Don't raise a red flag, we only have to hold on until Ark gets here. Then all devils will know 'Despair'."
Then they all nod in understanding and look inside the portal.
There they see the she-general; she reaches the army and kneels in front of the prince.
"ssenhgihruoy."
"I am sorry for showing you such a disgraceful appearance. The Earthlings are more powerful than we expected."
The devil prince is looking down at her and says:
"The Earthlings are NOT powerful, you are too WEAK. I don't need someone like you in our ranks."
Then, all of a sudden, the she-general starts to grow old in a matter of seconds. In a moment, she is just bones. Then, from her corpse, a red misty orb appears. The prince takes it, puts it in his mouth, and starts to chew. Then a broken scream is heard from inside his mouth, but only for a moment, and then quiet.
The big players watch the entire thing with a grim face. They know this prince is not like the generals; he is strong. Really strong.
The prince starts to walk again toward the portal with slow steps, knowing that no one on this Earth is powerful enough to close this dimension-powered, completely stable portal.
Leah asks the others:
"Does anyone know if Niobe is close to being done? Because it looks like this prince can play with souls."
The others look at her, but no one answers.
They turn their heads again toward the frail-looking prince, who looks like a child next to the other devils' tall frames. He is only three meters tall, with a round head like humans, and long, black-red hair that reaches his middle, with completely red eyes that look like magma, and two red streams like tattoos under his eyes that go all the way to his neck.
He has two red wings behind his back that he keeps folded, and on his face, there are no lips—only the teeth like saws are visible, taking up half his face.
His three-meter-tall body looks exactly like a human's, only the hands are longer than a normal human's; they reach just beneath the knees.
His skin is pale like a ghost, only his long, knife-like nails are red.
The prince also looks at them and seems to like the looks of despair on the humans' faces. That's why he walks so slowly, so he can see the despair growing with each step he takes.
But with no warning and no disturbance, one devil from his army loses his head, and then another in the opposite direction. But before the third devil loses his head, the army starts to react.
They all flare their aura together, making the space around them hotter than the sun. In this heat and light, a black shadow appears. But the next second, it's not there anymore; he is next to Melody.
The prince looks at him and says:
"I see you have the ability to 'Blink' wherever you look. That is a pretty powerful ability to have for an assassin."
But Blackie just stares at him and doesn't say anything.
Then, when the prince finishes talking, he just disappears from his spot and simply appears behind them, with the head of Blackie in his hand. Then they hear the thud made by Blackie's body hitting the ground.
They take a second to realize what just happened, and all feel pure shock. Then, immediately, they put some distance between themselves and the prince.
All are thinking the same thing: 'We're screwed.'
Just then, they hear the prince:
"So he was just a robot. Not the same satisfaction as decapitating a real body, but I still have some toys to play with."
"And before you all die, remember the name of the one who will have your souls to play with for eternity."
"Moloch Gor'og... The Soul Ruler."
But Zmaug starts to laugh:
"Ha ha ha ha, a pretty big name, Soul Ruler. Who named you? Yourself? Because the real ruler is on her way, and when she gets here, you won't even be able to control your own soul, let alone the others."
The others understand that Zmaug is trying to buy time, so they enter the game also. They all start laughing at the prince.
When the prince hears their laughter, he looks at them like corpses, and a red aura starts to leak from him. Inside this aura, are millions and millions of screaming souls. They are tormented souls, not able to rest in peace.
"Do you all think I'm a fool? I know you are stalling until Ark gets here, but do you think he will still find even one living soul inside this city when he comes?"
"And don't think that Niobe can best me in soul control. I am... Moloch Gor'og... the one who was born from the souls of trillions and trillions of dying worlds. I was born to rule over every soul in existence."
"So don't try to play these kids' games with me. If you have the balls, then come at me."
Moloch looks at his army and says something:
"tratsehtercassam,llikenoyreve."
Then the army starts to go through the portal, attacking everyone and everything in sight.
When the big players see what the army is doing, they know what the prince said. They know he said to destroy the city.
The robots are fighting the army, the weapons are still firing, the rest of the soldiers, the dragon kin, the elves, the demons... Everyone who can still move is fighting. But the devils are too strong; their armor is too thick, their weapons too powerful, their magma-like aura is burning everything in their path. They are killing the Earthlings like weeds.
The prince has a large smile on his face:
"Mhh, food with the smell of despair, nothing is better than this."
Now he starts to laugh, still waiting.
But when some of the devil soldiers start to attack the city wall, their attacks are like eggs thrown at a stone; they don't do any damage. And when the prince sees that, he makes a red ball of energy in his hand and looks at the big players.
Kyle screams at them:
"Don't let that energy ball get near the city wall. Attack the prince with everything you've got."
Elion pulls the string, and in a second, dozens and dozens of arrows are heading towards the prince.
Melody pulls the trigger, and her weapon fires bullets, lasers, energy balls... Everything she has, she fires at him, because even so, she can't continue for long after Blackie was killed. Because a large part of her energy was used to power Blackie.
Leah uses the rest of the energy inside the sword to make the most powerful attack she can manage.
Zmaug gets into position to throw his spear, his body doubling in mass, his arm swollen, like a cannon ready to fire. The heat is even higher than the devil's heat. And then the spear starts to roar.
He locks his eyes on Moloch and throws his spear with even greater power than last time.
Kyle takes his sword and says something to it, then the sword starts to glow with a red light on the cutting edge. He lifts his sword over his head and says:
"DustEdge."
Then a thin line of red expands from his sword, and everywhere this line passes, everything is turned to dust, even the smallest atoms are cut in two.
The attacks are all heading towards the prince at the same time. While the prince holds that ball of red energy in his hand, he starts to smile while world-destroying attacks come toward him at the speed of light.
The prince throws the red energy ball towards the attacks of the big players, and when the ball of energy makes contact with the first attack, it explodes.
And an explosion so big and so powerful forms that even the portal and the dimension beyond are affected. The army, the robots, the weapons... all are just engulfed by the explosion, and a part of the wall is also affected.
The barrier cracks, and in the next second, a hole is formed in the barrier. The big players are thrown far away by the shockwave. Their last thought was, 'Does he want to kill us together with him? To die all together?'
The big players are all injured, but when they manage to stop and gain their bearings, they see a horrifying image in front of them.
