As the lunch bell rang, our character moved to their classroom. The guidance class was about to begin, and the teacher was preparing a list of attendees for an upcoming trip.
Guidance Teacher: "Alright, everyone, who's going to participate? Based on that, I'll distribute a form for your parents to fill out."
As soon as the guidance teacher said this, everyone raised their hands; everyone except for our character.
Guidance Teacher: "****, aren't you coming?"
****: "No, sir."
The guidance teacher looked at our character sternly.
Guidance Teacher: "Participation is mandatory. Talk to your family."
Before our character could say anything, the teacher started distributing the forms.
(I don't understand. Does he think he's superior to the students just because he's a teacher? Do I really have to go on this damn trip?)
After school, our character was walking toward the school bus until someone called out to them.
Michael: "Hey, you!"
At first, our character thought they weren't being addressed, but then...
Michael: "Hey, I'm talking to you!"
Our character turned their head and looked at Michael with an emotionless expression.
****: "Were you talking to me?"
Michael: "Yes, I'm talking to you. Why are you ignoring me?"
Just as Michael was about to speak, our character interrupted him.
****: "Cut to the chase, I need to go home."
Michael, annoyed by the interruption, asked:
Michael: "Who are you?"
Our character paused for a moment at this question.
(Who am I? I don't know, sometimes I question it too. I'm like a pawn stuck in a fucking unreal world, man.)
With a sour and surprised expression, our character replied:
****: "What the fuck are you talking about? I'm a student at this school. What kind of questions are these, damn it?"
Upon hearing this, Michael replied:
Michael: "Ahh... Sorry, my bad."
Our character turned away and made their way to the school bus, sitting down in their usual spot.
(Why did Michael ask me such a question? That was really strange... Did he realize something? I guess I know who I'll be hurting today.)
As our character was getting closer to home, they noticed that their neighborhood was filled with police cars.
(What the fuck is going on?)
The bus driver was stopped by the police, who entered and made an announcement:
Police: "Young people, unfortunately, you'll need to walk from here. Please exit the bus."
Our character was shocked but couldn't argue with the police. Therefore, they were the last to leave the bus. When they stepped outside, they couldn't believe what they saw.
(What the fuck is this?)
The reason the police stopped the bus was due to a corpse. It had been placed cruelly in the middle of the road. A multitude of knives was embedded in the body, and blood was flowing from the ground. Our character looked at the corpse like a ghost, their eyes trembling.
