Chapter 40 - End Of Marcus Caldwell

[Next Day]

Our character wakes up.

(Let's see what developments have happened.)

They check the latest news on the internet.

(Leonardo said they will announce it. How will they do that? Can they really manage the media? There is nothing in sight at the moment.)

(The hearing date of the case is approaching rapidly.)

(I am very curious to see if there are any responses to the emails.)

Our character checks their emails.

(Yes, we have received a response to our complaint against the government, as we requested.)

Email: Thank you for the important information. Rest assured that the necessary actions will be taken.

(That's good. I hope they do what's necessary; unfortunately, I don't trust them much because of the lack of competence in this country.)

(Now for our main goal: to threaten the judge. I'll send him another email, telling him that we've complained to the government and that he'll be disbarred if he doesn't drop the case.)

Our character sends the email to the judge.

Email: Judge Marcus Caldwell, we have your information and we can see what you've been up to. This includes the illegal conversation you had with Rafael Voss. If you don't drop the case, we'll forward that conversation to the relevant state authorities. We wish you a good day and hope you do as we want you to.

(I'm sure this email will instill fear and anxiety in him. The rest will be easily handled by the Justice Society; I'm sure of that.)

Our character spends some time on the computer.

(Today is the last day of vacation; school starts again tomorrow. Matric is about to start again.)

[2-3 Hours Later]

(Today feels boring; I need to do something. Maybe going outside would be good.)

Our character goes outside.

(A short walk always helps relieve the stress and tension of the day. I'm having trouble sleeping again lately. I don't know what to do; I think I'll have to start taking medication again.)

Our character hangs out outside and then goes home.

(It's almost evening; I need to check my email.)

Our character turns on his computer and checks his emails.

(Hahaha, now I've caught you, you bastard judge. The email we sent worked; Judge Marcus Caldwell is much more of a coward than we thought.)

Email: Okay, okay, please don't do that; I'll drop the case. Please have mercy on me; I know this is a crime and I regret it.) (Yes, we did it again. The process is not completely over yet; now it's Leonardo's turn. I'm very tired today and we'll be back in the matrix tomorrow, so I need to rest.)

Our character throws himself into bed and tries to sleep.

(I can't fall asleep again. At this rate, I'll have to start taking my medication again.)

Our character tries to sleep again.

[20 Minutes Later]

(I think I'll take my medication again.)

Our character takes the sleeping pill.

(Please let me sleep now.)

Thanks to the medicine, our character falls asleep.
