" We have arrived at the eastern outskirt of the szara forest, party is ready for deployment "
The voice of the pilot was heard.
Cadet Riley is sitted amongst his fellow soldiers, they remained ready for deployment in the aircraft, he held an assasult riffle while cladded in a black armored suit, designed to take out Zurtures.
Each bullets of the riffle contained mana, capable of killing Zutures or other apex predators!
His heart raced intensely!
Other officers were present, nine of them including Riley made their numbers ten, eight were non gifted soldiers with their leader being a gifted making it nine, the gifted rose up from his seat!
Covering his mouth with an oxygen mask, everyone did the same!
He lifted his assasult riffle into the air, loading it in preparations....even as a gifted soldier, he's only permitted to use his talent when he is on the battle field, he faced his fellow teammates, a sigh escaped his lips.
" Listen up everyone, we are Delta B squad and our mission here is to rescue our fellow soldiers, they are currently trapped in their battle against the Zutures, we kill the Zurtures, get our soldiers and leave "
" We are disposable so it doesn't matter if we die "
" Prioritize the mission rather than thinking of saving your lives, you belong to the government, don't forget that " the squad captain spoke out, addressing his fellow squad mates, they got from their seats.
Each were all geared up and ready!
They all had their parachutes ready, Riley was the last to stand, he breathed a sigh, relaxing his back....he firmly held his rifle when he noticed the glance of a fellow soldiers!
" What? " He asked, the soldier giggled softly!
" Nothing, I was just curious why you looked so tensed but it doesn't matter, it's sad to see a child is being sent off to die " the soldier answered, they had their attentions focused on the deployment time.
" Do you think we would die? " Riley asked.
" We are a rescue squad, our job is to save the main squad in exchange for our lives, you should know already what the IPac is before coming here, we are here and we know we are going to die soon "
" Atleast I won't be dying as a weak man " The soldier said with a smile on his face!
" What's your name? " Riley asked!
" Jeffrey, what's yours? " The soldier, Jeffrey asked!
" Riley, just Riley in case you are curious, I have no memories of my family so I have no last name " He answered, the soldier glanced at Riley with a smile, he winked at him!
" Not bad, you have a nice name.....Riley, if we ever come back alive from this mission, then I will adopt you, It won't be bad if you have my last name " Jeffrey said, his words caused Riley to laugh!
Few seconds later.
Clang!
The door of the aircraft opened up, one after the other, they dived down, starting from the squad captain with the rest following suit, Riley was the last to dive down, diving down hundreds of kilometers.
He could feel the intense wind blowing around!
He clenched unto his gun, diving down with his face covered with an oxygen gas, it took them more than thirty minutes but they made their landing, using the parachute for a successful landing!
The aircraft flew away!
Leaving them stranded in this unknown jungle, each had their rifles positioned, Riley was thrown into the front to scout, he snucked around the bushes.
Checking out for any potential monster hiding within the shadows of the jungle, he found nothing and signalled the troops to move in, they followed suit!
Moving around with Riley as their scout!
Everything went well until they tracked down the troops they came to rescue, Riley was the first to emerge into the scene, his eyes widened in shock....stunned to see corpses littered across the scene.
" Hey boy, what are you doing here.....why haven't you signalled us? "
The squad captain questioned, entering into the scene....he was frozen by the littered corpses, all the delta squad were massacred, bite marks covered their leftover skins!
With their insides feasted by the rampaging Zurtures, Riley fell back.....this is his first time seeing a gruesome scene!
" This mission is a failure, abort mission.....the delta squad are dead, we need to leave " the squad captain ordered, Riley remained frozen.....his eyes fixed on the corpse speared to a tree branch!
" Squad leader " He called out.
" Yes brat, what is it? " The squad leader spoke out.
" I believe the reports we received were that the delta squad were ambushed by Zurtures after dealing with the Rafarge terrorist group right? " Riley asked.
" Yes, that's correct....what about it? " The squad leader questioned!
" If Zurtures are mere unintelligent creatures then why is that corpse speared to the tree? " Riley asked, raising his hand....he pointed his fingers at the corpse speared to a tree!
His teammates were shocked seeing such a scene!
The squad leader remained quiet, watching the scene when his eyes suddenly glowed brightly, he sensed something, but before he could make a move.....it was too late!
Bang!
A gunshot was unleashed, fired directly into the skull of Jeffrey, he collasped aggressively on the ground, with a bullet pierced into his skull, drowned in his own pool of bloods!
Riley's eyes widened in shock!
" This is an ambush, I repeat this is an ambush.....one man down, I repeat one man down, fall back " the Squad leader commanded, he turned his back to leave, running out of the scene, it became an unfortunate event!
With three more soldiers shot down, Riley scanned through the vicinity, tracing the bullets back to their shots but they were well hidden within the darkness!
His eyes widened in shock when the sounds of growls erupted!
Black scaled manly shaped wolves were unleashed, Zurtures supersped, attacking the scattered soldiers who ran, trying to escape....they were met with their gruesome end, devoured by Zurtures!
Soldiers who followed the squad leader were attacked as well!
With four Zurtures chasing after them, their claws were unleashed but it was blocked by the squad leader, creating a forcefield in the prowess.....his eyes glowed brightly!
" You guys should head back, I'll handle them "
He commanded and the soldiers with him followed the orders, leaving the squad leader surrounded by four growling Zurtures, a smirk escaped his lips when he tossed his rifle on the ground.
His body glowed brightly!

He manifested a blade using the auras he manifested, he released the barriers and the Zutures came charging in, the soldier charged forward, covering the distance between them, while using his mana.
He became even more faster!
He swung his blade, cutting the limbs of a Zurture, swiftly piercing it through the heart, in response the Zutures was beheaded swiftly, staining the mana blade with its bloods!
The rest never hesitated even the slightest in their attacks!!

The soldiers who were sent back by their squad leader met their ends at his hands, he waited for them with ten Zurtures, the Zurtures were currently busy with the severed corspes of the soldiers!
Tearing off their armores as they feasted on their fleshes!
He stood firmly, firmly gripping the glowing spear he held, dressed in a red tank top and a blue pants, baldhead with his body covered with tattoos.
But one of the significant tattoo he had was the symbol of the Rafarge terrorist organization, he swung his spear, cutting down trees with just a released waves of intense mana!!!
He chuckled softly!
" Its quite suprising to think IPac would send a gifted amongst the rescue troops, I guess they've gone soft or they have enough gifted to spare but it doesn't matter "
" This gifted is weaker than me so killing him won't be difficult, we have a second prey....a little child huh? "
" My Zurtures will have their fun with that little child, it won't even be much of a fight, after all....in this vast world "
" If you aren't awakened.....you're nothing but a dead soul "
" I should play with my prey " He uttered, he caused his body to glow brightly, releasing his dark mana into the air when he sent his spear flying, adding pressure to it, it was directed against the squad leader.
The spear was deflected by the soldier and he came charging in!
With his army of Zurtures following him from behind!
[Meanwhile]
His heart raced intensely, he's seen running across the vast jungle, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him, despite being overwhlemed by fear.....he dared not stumble nor fall!
If he was any bit slow, he would die!
Riley kept running, covering distance upon distance.....he entered a corner, he kept running when a Zurture emerged out of nowhere, devouring the right hand of Riley!
His eyes widened in shock!
He fell back, screaming out in pains, watching as his right arm was chewed by the Zurture and swallowed, overwhlemed by fear....his heart raced even further, he could feel his bones screaming out.
He lost paints of bloods in just a minute!
He tried running away but was swiftly crushed by the claws of the Zurture, slammed into the ground, the creature's claws pierced through his back.... causing him more pains!!
His screams became even more louder!!
