Eron's POV
After I bit Emily on the shoulder, I immediately regained control of myself and moved backward, revealing a shocked expression. I looked around and saw that all the books had been scattered all over the floor. There were even glass shards lying around, with all the windows broken.
I immediately turned to look at Emily, who was already bleeding from her shoulder, and felt a deep sense of guilt. But then, staring at her face, I didn't see any pained expression. It was as if she wasn't the one that I had bitten just now, making me furrow my eyebrows.
"You see?" Emily said as she walked toward me. "We're just the same. I'm just as special as you are."
"And that's why you didn't feel any pain when I bit you?" I asked her, watching as she approached. I'd never known that Emily was like me all this while. It was really confusing because she had always been weak and fragile.
