I tried to break free from the hug, but as expected, it was futile. My mother's strength was Low-Ultimate Class, which meant she was much stronger than me.
My strength was firmly placed in the middle of High-Class Devil, and even if I stopped training now and became lazy, I would still reach Ultimate-Class by the time I turned eighteen. And that wasn't even counting the Book.
My foundation was strong, but Ultimate-Class wasn't my goal. I needed to at least reach mid-Satan Class before the plot began.
Though my talent was exceptional, reaching Satan-Class in less than a decade was no easy feat. That was why I had been planning to boost my Slime Bodysuit.
If it worked, I would have built my own cheat.
The plan? To create a Sacred Gear. I wasn't a genius like Azazel or Ajuka, but with both of them on my side, it wasn't impossible.
I just needed one more piece.
'Valerie Tepes.'
"Aaah, Mother, you're suffocating me," I said to Brisha, who finally let me go. I glanced at Varian, who simply smiled.
"I heard Lord Lucifer called for you earlier?" Brisha asked.
I nodded. She was right. Sirzechs had summoned me ahead of schedule. It was probably Rias's idea.
"You should rest for a bit," she said.
I nodded and telepathically instructed my peerage to return to their rooms. They left without a word.
"I will be taking my leave as well," I said.
Brisha and Varian nodded.
"Seekvaira will be arriving soon. She will leave with you," Brisha added.
I nodded. I had already predicted this.

Garp and Yato sat on my bed, each holding a bottle of sake as we played cards.
"Gahahaha! I win!"
Garp roared with laughter, a huge grin spreading across his face as he swept up the money.
I took a deep swig of my sake.
'Fuck, I was losing.'
We started a new game, and as I played, I had a sudden realization—life was really awesome like this.
No school to worry about since I was homeschooled. No one cared whether my peerage and I attended classes, considering our strength.
Drinking, playing cards, and having fun—this had become a frequent part of our routine. After all, we couldn't train every hour. Rest was essential.
"Gahahaha! Yato, thanks for the King."
Garp snatched the card from Yato's hand, his grin widening.
Time passed as we played, and then—
I felt someone approaching my room.
Yato noticed it too, glancing at me.
Garp, on the other hand, was less sensitive to long-range application of Touki, but in close-quarters combat, he was a beast.
KNOCK KNOCK.
"Gahaha. It seems Lady Seekvaira has arrived," Garp said.
With a thought, I used my Demonic Power to will the door open.
As soon as Seekvaira entered the room, Garp and Yato immediately stood up and bowed.
"Greetings, Lady Seekvaira," they said in unison.
Seekvaira nodded, but her face was strict.
"Drinking again, you three?"
"Hehe~" Yato and Garp rubbed the back of their heads, looking sheepish.
"Yo~ Seekvaira," I greeted my fiancée with a cheerful grin.
She crossed her arms. "Wow, drinking before attending a banquet hosted by Lord Lucifer?"
I didn't respond. Instead, I glanced at Garp and Yato. Understanding my silent cue, they nodded and left the room.
Now alone, I looked at Seekvaira and smiled.
"You look beautiful."
A faint blush dusted her cheeks. She was ten this year, and I was nine, but thanks to our Devil lineage, we looked closer to twelve or thirteen.
"You look good as well," she replied.
I chuckled. "Thanks~"
RING RING.
Seekvaira's phone buzzed. She picked it up.
"Yeah, Rias, we'll be coming soon. Alright, alright."
With that, she ended the call.
"So, we're heading out?" I asked.
She nodded.
"Sure."
I telepathically called Garp and Yato back.
"Here, take this." I tossed them a flyer with the teleportation circle's coordinates. "You two can head back."
"Alright~" Yato gave a joking salute before bowing to Seekvaira. Garp did the same.
Seekvaira smirked. "Haha~ They really fit into your peerage, huh?"
I nodded. "Yeah, they sure do. And they're really strong."
Seekvaira sighed. "Yeah, I hate to admit it, but they're even stronger than me."
I smiled. "Don't worry about that, Seekvaira. One day, they'll be your forces too."
Seekvaira blushed, realizing what I meant.
"You should visit my territory sometime with your peerage," I added.
She smiled softly. "Sure, Vael."
"Let's go," I said.
"Yeah."
Normally, we'd arrive at events like this in cars, but since we had been summoned early, we had to use teleportation magic—avoiding unnecessary attention.
[Teleportation Magic]
A dim purple light engulfed us.
The moment I opened my eyes; I was met with an annoying sight—
Rias arguing with… Riser.
"Riser, just because we are engaged for the time being does not means we have to hold our hands or dance." Rias said in a rather loud voice.
"We do, Rias. It is a duty bestowed upon us by our family." I could hear Riser say. He was around fourteen years old while Rias was my age, nine. So, they two together looked really bad.
I could see Riser's queen by her side. She looked the same age as when She was introduced in canon, her name was Yubelluna.
'I don't know if Riser is the same as in canon but even then, Let's see how he reacts.'
"Vael! Seekvaira!"
"Hey Rias~" I greeted her and Seekvaira did the same.
"Hey!" Rias said with a smile on his face and ran towards us a huge smile on her face and She also looked beautiful comparable to Seekvaira.
Riser also turned around as he was facing the opposite direction of us and walked towards us.
"Greetings Lady Seekvaira." He bowed a bit towards Seekvaira Agares. Seekvaira also bowed a bit "Greetings Riser Phenex."
Since, Riser was not the heir of his clan. His standing was a bit lower than us so we did not have to say Lord or Lady.
He then looked at me.
"Greetings, Lord Vael. It is a pleasure to meet you."
Riser held his hand out with a smile on his face and I returned it with my own.
"Greetings Riser Phenex. The pleasure is all mine."
Seekvaira and Rias withdrew a bit as they probably guessed that Riser wanted to speak with me.
