Isabella's loud footsteps and heavy breathing echoed in the air as she kept running in the dark, ominous street.
There was not a single soul or light in sight. Only the endless darkness and fogginess surrounded her as she continued running to save herself from her predator.
The sounds of whistling and a pair of unhurried footsteps echoed in the street along with Isabella's footsteps.
She tried to find the location of her predator, but because of the darkness and fogginess, she couldn't see anything but just listened. She could hear her predator getting closer to her.
As she kept running while looking around, she bumped into a solid thing, making her fall to the ground. She closed her eyes and yelped as she collided with the hard ground.
She opened her eyes and looked up while breathing heavily. Her heart stopped beating when her eyes met her predator's eyes.
His golden eyes glowed in the darkness dangerously, and he stared at his prey with a smirk. His eyes became dark at the satisfaction that he had finally captured his prey.
He wanted to cage her. He wanted to devour her. Isabella's blue eyes widened, and fear made its place in them as she saw her predator's intentions in his eyes.
His smirk became wider, and he extended his hand toward her to get her, making her tremble. Isabella screamed as he rasped darkly,
"You are mine."
Isabella jerked upright, breathing heavily, as the sound of the alarm clock filled her room. Cold sweat beaded her forehead, and her heart was beating foremost. She felt a chilling sensation around her neck.
The dream made her recall her forgotten memories, and her heart quivered with fear. She took a deep breath and breathed out to calm her pounding heart.
As her heart and breathing came back to normal, she reached for her nightstand and hit the end button of the alarm clock to turn it off.
Isabella sat on her bed quietly with her dishevelled appearance and pondered what she had just dreamed about and why she dreamed about it.
It had been six months since that incident. Six months since she met him. Six months since she saved the mafia king. It had been exactly six months.
After she promised herself to never meet him, she stayed in her apartment and tried to go back to her normal life like nothing had happened. She didn't tell anyone about him. She didn't want anyone to know about what happened.
She tried her best to live like before, but the constant fear of meeting him again or him changing his mind and coming to her made her live in terror.
After living in her apartment with that fear for a few weeks, Isabella decided to move back with her parents. She thought moving back with them would be better for her.
Isabella's parents never wanted her to move out of the house, but she was stubborn in her decision to want to live closer to her college.
So, when she moved back to her parents' house, they didn't ask her the reason for her sudden change of decision and were happy that she moved back.
As time passed, Isabella slowly forgot about him since they never met again. She was glad that they never met again. And she was sure that they never would either in the future.
So the sudden, terrifying dream of him made her perplexed. It made her wonder what led her to dream about him. And why had she dreamed about him when she had forgotten him?
And when, even after thinking about it for a few moments, she didn't find the answer, she decided to leave it and forget about it as a bad dream.
Isabella looked outside the window and saw the white clouds dancing in the blue sky and the sun blessing the world with its light. The glow of sunlight pierced into the room through the window and filled the room with light.
A smile made its place on her lips, and happiness spread into her as her mind erased the dream and made her remember her special day. Isabella was looking forward to tomorrow, her special day. It was the day she was going to be twenty.
The reason she was looking more forward to the day was because her family said they had something special to give her.
She was excited about today, too. Her best friend, Angela, wanted to celebrate her birthday tonight. So, they will basically be having a girls' outing tonight.
Angela didn't tell Isabella where they were going to celebrate. She said it was a surprise. And she was looking forward to it too.
"The day might not have started well, but it will end well," Isabella uttered with a smile.
She got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom to get ready for the day with the determination that she would make the day end beautifully. But would it really end beautifully?

Isabella stared at the club in front of her with a frown. She looked beside her at her best friend and asked, confused,
"Why did we come here, Angel?"
"To celebrate your birthday," Angela said excitedly.
"In a club?" Isabella asked while pointing at the club, earning a nod from Angela.
Angela frowned at Isabella's expression and asked, confused,
"It's not the first time we have been into a club. What's wrong?"
Isabella stared at Angela and then looked back at the club, not knowing what to say. It was indeed true that it wasn't the first time they had come to a club.
And Isabella had no problem celebrating at a club, but for some reason, this club was making her feel uncomfortable.
A feeling inside her was telling her that something was going to happen if she went to that club. And she knew better than to ever ignore her gut feelings.
So, she decided to persuade Angela to go to another club. She looked at Angela and stated,
"I don't like this club. How about we go to some other club, or maybe to the one we went to before?"
"But I want to go to this club. It's really good. What's wrong with going there?" Angela asked, confused.
"I don't feel right going there. I have a feeling that something is going to happen there." Isabella said, deciding to be truthful with her best friend.
For a moment, some emotions changed in Angela's eyes, but before Isabella could see them, they had disappeared. Angela put on a smile, entwined her hand with Isabella's, and said cutely,
"You are thinking too much. Nothing is going to happen. I have checked this club, and they have very strong security. So, it's completely safe. Trust me, okay? Please, now let's go."
Angela was about to walk, but Isabella didn't move from her spot. Angela looked at her and asked sadly,
"You don't trust me."
Isabella looked at her and said,
"Of course, I do."
"Then, let's go, please," Angela said, making Isabella sigh in defeat.
Isabella trusted Angela. She believed in her words. She thought maybe she was really overthinking and decided to go to the club.
"Let's go," Isabella said, making Angela smile.
They made their way to the Star Club. Loud music was echoing in the club, and many colors of light were flashing all over the place. Some people were dancing on the dance floor, and some were getting drunk. And oddly, there were more guards here than in the other clubs.
Isabella breathed a sigh of relief, seeing the guards. She was glad that Angela's words were true. Angela led her to a table, and when she sat there, she let out,
"Wait here. I will be back with our drinks."
Isabella nodded before Angela went to the bar to get drinks.
While Angela was gone, Isabella looked around the club, and she had to admit that the club was really beautiful. It was classic and completely different from the club she went to.
But no matter how beautiful it was, something about this club made her feel uneasy. The club seemed quite mysterious to her.
But before she could dwell on it more, Angela came back with the drinks. Isabella's eyes widened upon seeing the alcohol in her hands.
"That's a lot, girl," Isabella exclaimed in shock, making Angela chuckle and mutter,
"Yes, it is, but they are not that strong."
Angela placed the drinks on the table and took her seat beside Isabella. She took an aviation cocktail and gave it to her.
"Here, I told the bartender to make it, especially for you. You will like it." Angela said, smiling, and Isabella took it from her.
Angela stared at her, waiting eagerly for her to drink. Angela smirked wickedly as Isabella took a sip of the drink.
"It's good," Isabella said with satisfaction.
"I told you, you would like it."
Angela watched evilly as Isabella finished the whole drink. She gave more drinks to her and made her drink them all.
After a while, Isabella started to feel hot. Her vision became blurry, and she was feeling dizzy. A feeling of overwhelming lust erupted in her, and she gasped for air. Angela smirked wickedly and touched Isabella while asking with fake concern,
"Izzy, are you okay?"
Isabella wanted to answer, but no words came from her mouth. Angela's smirk widened at seeing Isabella's state. Seeing that she had succeeded in her plan, she held Isabella and took her into a private room.
As Isabella began to lose consciousness, she didn't know what was going on. Angela flopped Isabella into the bed and looked at her with hatred.
"I hate you, Isabella. I hate you for taking what's supposed to be mine. Now you should pay for it. I hope you enjoy tonight," Angela spat venomously.
She looked at the ugly, fat man at the door and uttered,
"Enjoy your night."
The man looked at Isabella lusciously and said while licking his lips,
"I will."
Angela smirked and left the room. The man closed the door and went on top of Isabella. He touched Isabella's delicate body and smiled wickedly.
Isabella peeled open her hazy eyes to see a man touching her body. The feeling of disgust crept into her, and before she knew it, her hand moved on its own, punched the man's face, and kneed his dick.
The man screamed and fell to the floor while holding his cock. He curled into a ball and cried out,
"You fucking bitch."
Isabella, without wasting any time, gathered her strength and stood up before quickly running out of the room.
"You are dead when I catch you," the man growled before standing up after a few minutes to chase after her.
Isabella ran while looking back, and she could feel the previous feeling coming back. Suddenly she bumped into something hard and was about to fall, but a pair of arms wrapped around her, stopping her from falling.
A familiar scent hit Isabella's nostrils, making her feel safe, and she looked up. Her blurry vision was hiding the man's face, but in the haziness of her eyes, she found a pair of golden eyes looking at her darkly.
