The announcement of flight arrivals and departures echoed in the airport as Isabella and Andrew pushed the luggage carts. Angelo and Aria were sitting in the luggage carts, looking around the airport with sparkling and excited eyes.
Angelo and Aria were excited about finally coming to their mommy's home. They had heard about their mother's homeland from their uncle and mommy, and they had always wanted to come here. That was why, when the twins got to know that they would be coming to Italy, they were over the moon.
Isabella was afraid that her little minions might not want to go to Italy since they had grown up in Averna and had many friends there. Also, because Aria hated changing places. But when she saw the excitement in their eyes, she was reassured.
There was another reason behind Angelo and Aria's excitement. A reason that Isabella was unaware of. They were excited about meeting their father.
As the twins were slowly growing up, they started to ask about their father. And since Isabella didn't want to lie to her minions about their father, she told them who their father was and where he was.
She didn't tell them how they came into the world. Whenever the twins asked her why their father didn't live together with them like other parents, Isabella ended that topic with other excuses, as she didn't know what to say to them.
She would have chosen to lie, but Angelo was too intelligent for anyone's good, and he caught Isabella's lies in the blink of an eye. So, lying to them was never an option.
Angelo and Aria stopped asking about that when they saw how that topic made their mother uncomfortable. And how their mother avoided that topic. They didn't want to make their mother sad.
But their curiosity about their father never died down. They wanted to meet him, but they knew that Isabella wouldn't allow that. That was why, when they got to know about their arrival in Italy, they planned to find their father secretly.
It would be hard for them to go outside without guardians and without their uncle's and mother's knowledge. And it might even take some time, but they would not give up until they met their father.
They wanted to see him and wanted to know why he wasn't with their mother and them. They just wanted to meet him at least once.
"Miss Russo."
"Mr. Russo."
A man and a woman spoke in unison and walked toward Isabella and Andrew. They stopped in front of them and greeted them.
"Hello, Miss Russo, Welcome to Italy, miss." Elena Moretti said, politely with a smile.
Isabella looked at her assistant and smiled before greeting her back.
"Welcome back, Mr. Russo," the man said calmly.
Andrew nodded and asked, his voice cold,
"Is everything ready, Dante?"
"Yes, Mr. Russo," Dante replied.
Dante was Andrew's right-hand man. Andrew nodded and told Dante to lead the way. Isabella and Andrew took the twins in their arms and walked to the parking lot while Dante and Elena handled the luggage.
Dante put the luggage in the trunk, while Isabella placed the twins in the car and sat with them. Dante and Andrew got into the car, and Dante started to drive to their new house. And Elena followed them from behind with her car.
Meanwhile, Nicholas was sitting at his desk and reviewing some files before his next meeting. It was a clan meeting, and his uncle would be present. His uncle was getting on his nerves.
Five years ago, he failed to destroy him yet again. That day, Lorenzo was able to find the man who knew about his uncle's deadly secret, but he was too late in reaching him. Matthew reached that man before him and killed him.
When Lorenzo told Nicholas that the man was dead, he was enraged. At that time, he wasn't able to go to that man himself as soon as possible. Because of that, he lost that man.
And surprisingly, any further information about that man or his family disappeared. Because he was dead, the secret also died with him. In that situation, Nicholas didn't even bother to know that man's name.
Nicholas stopped focusing on that man, as he had something more important to focus on. It was Isabella. His little moon.
In one day, Nicholas lost both his little moon and that man. The loss of his little moon made Nicholas crazy and bloodthirsty. The wrath of his was intense and brutal. The people in the underworld were even afraid to cross paths with him.
Nicholas tried to find her all over the world like a madman, but he didn't find even a single clue about her. She disappeared like she never existed. It had been five years, but he still hadn't found her.
But he wouldn't give up. He wouldn't give up until he found her and caged her—until he had her.
Max ran toward Nicholas's office hurriedly and stood in front of the door. He tried to catch his breath and knocked on the door.
Nicholas permitted him to come in, and Max went inside hurriedly. Max bowed and informed him,
"We found her, boss."
Nicholas's heart thumped and his eyes darkened as he understood what Max meant. They had found her. He had found her. His little moon.
"Where?" Nicholas asked, deadly, his eyes filled with a maddening glint.
"Miss had landed in Italy a little while ago. Our man is following her."
"Tell them to keep their eyes on her and report every moment to me. And give me her report, Max. You can do that now, right?" Nicholas ordered, earning a nod from Max.
"Yes, boss."
Nicholas gestured for him to go ahead, and Max bowed before leaving to follow Nicholas's orders. As the door closed, Nicholas grinned darkly.
He couldn't describe how pleased he was right now. For the first time in those five years, he was feeling relieved and happy. He had finally found his little moon. Now, all that was left to do was drag her right back to him.
Nicholas wouldn't be hasty like last time. This time, he would slowly make his move. He would be patient. He would patiently and slowly hunt his prey. He would have her.
The car drove into a gigantic mansion that was in the middle of a forest and stopped in front of the entrance. Isabella stepped out of the car and helped the twins get out.
The twins ran inside the mansion, and Isabella trailed behind them while telling them not to run. The twins looked around the mansion in amazement, and Aria stated,
"Wow, the house is so beautiful."
Andrew came inside and picked Aria up in his arms and cooed,
"You like our new house, my queen?"
Aria nodded excitedly, and Andrew waited for Angelo's approval. After taking a good look at the house, Angelo looked at his uncle and stated with a smile,
"Yeah, it's beautiful."
Andrew and Isabella smiled, happy and satisfied with the twins' reactions. After a few seconds the head maid came and greeted them. Isabella sent the twins to freshen up with the maid. Dante and Elena walked to them, and Elena said professionally,
"I will take my leave, Miss Russo. I will see you at the office in two days. If you need anything, please call me. Have a nice rest."
Isabella nodded and uttered with a smile,
"Okay, go home safely."
Elena nodded before bowing and leaving. Andrew and Isabella gave their attention to Dante, and Isabella asked, her tone serious,
"How safe is this house?"
"This house is extremely safe. I have prepared it the way Mr. Russo wanted. There is a safe room on the second floor where everything necessary is installed. And there is a laser fence around the place during the night. There is an escape route on the ground floor. The guards will start tomorrow." Dante spoke out.
"Good job. You did well." Andrew stated, satisfied.
"You can rest for the day," Andrew added, dismissing Dante.
"Okay, boss." Dante said before bowing and leaving.
The moment Dante left, Andrew turned to Isabella and muttered,
"Let's freshen up. It's already time for dinner."
Isabella nodded, and they went to their room. Isabella took a warm shower and put on her pajamas before going downstairs. Andrew and the twins were already seated, and Isabella took her seat.
Like always, they had their dinner while listening to the twins babbling. But they were less talkative than other times because they were too tired from the journey.
After dinner, Isabella took the sleepy twins into their room and tucked them in. Wishing goodnight to Andrew, Isabella went to her room. Isabella lay in the bed and sighed in relief that everything went well.
She was satisfied with the security of the house. She was relieved that her babies would be safe.
Isabella closed her eyes and wished for the rest of the things to go well. She wished for her revenge to be successful.
Isabella smiled and slowly drifted to sleep. She slept without any knowledge of what a dangerous future was waiting for her. She slept soundly, unaware of the tsunami that was coming for her.
