Chapter 44 - Chapter 44 Temporary Point Allocation

Under the moonlight, the huge wound on the abdomen of the unicorn, which was like a celestial horse, had the silver-blue blood that had stopped flowing.

Those azure eyes were on the verge of losing the light of life.

Light gently stroked its mane, offering it the last consolation, and said softly, "I'm sorry, I'm late! If only I had kept closer track of it at that time! I'm really sorry!"

Light kept comforting the unicorn gently. After a moment, its eyes completely lost their light.

"Complete the mileage 'Sacred Death', gain 1 Mileage Point."

Receiving the message from the stone stele, Light gently stood up and heard heavy footsteps beside his ear.

He waved his wand, and Scourgify got rid of the smell left on the unicorn. The Disillusionment Charm concealed Light as he made his way towards the darkness.

"No!!"

"Woof woof…"

After Light, who was hiding in the dark, was sure that Hagrid and Fang had come, he turned around and ran towards the castle.

After sneaking back to the dormitory quietly, Light, who had experienced many changes, lay on the bed after a long time and began to summarize the gains and losses of the battle.

"I still lack a trump card move that can seal the deal. The Fiendfyre curse is still too fierce now and I don't have any means of controlling it."

"It looks like I need to get my hands on Sectumsempra. And I probably know Quirrell's level now. It's about on par with my current level. Perhaps it's because he's just absorbed the unicorn's blood and hasn't fully digested it yet."

"Even when he's fully recovered, he'll probably only reach a level of 8 to 9 points. So I'll start Adding Points."

"I'll hold onto the remaining points just in case he might have some tricks up his sleeve."

Light mobilized his thoughts, directly pulled up the information on the stone stele. With a mere thought, the Dark Magic column changed from 7 points to 9 points.

Light Rogers (Zhou Yang)

Mileage Points: 9 (21)

Magic Power: 2 (The value for an ordinary adult wizard is 5)

Spells: White Magic: 3, Transfiguration: 2

Dark Magic: 9

Skills: Potions: 5, Care of Magical Creatures: 1

Milestones: Repel the Dark Lord (...)

Looking at his three - dimensional attributes, Light couldn't help but break into a smile. In just one short year, he had grown to a level where he could launch a sneak attack on the Dark Lord. Not bad.

At this thought, Light couldn't help but let out a sigh. He turned over and lay on his side on the bed.

"The plot has deviated a bit from the original. Originally, that unicorn wasn't supposed to die; it should have only been injured."

"There is still some time until the finals. The unicorn blood that Quirrell has absorbed might be sufficient, but he definitely won't be satisfied and will surely make a move again."

"Now that a unicorn has died, the Forbidden Forest will surely be placed under martial law to hunt down the murderer. I used magic to erase my tracks along the way, so I'm not too concerned."

"Tomorrow, I'll borrow Harry Potter's owl, Hedwig, to run an errand for me. See if there are any major movements in the Forbidden Forest. But I also have to be near there, otherwise, just like today, it'll be too late to react."

After making the plan, Light began to sleep peacefully.

The moonlight shone through the window into Quirrell's office. Quirrell was kneeling hunched over on the ground, trembling uncontrollably, and even his kneeling position had become distorted.

"You idiot, you were actually pushed to such a state. If I hadn't stepped in and taken over your body at the crucial moment, you'd be dead.

In the pitch-dark office, a cold and malicious voice reverberated.

"Master, I was wrong. I never thought anyone would be following me! I was too careless! Please forgive me, Master." Quirrell, his face as pale as a corpse, lay prone on the ground, his body twitching continuously as he endured excruciating pain.

"It's not enough. I need more! I must regain enough strength to break through the barriers set by those professors." The face on the back of Quirrell's head began to show the outlines of facial features and was no longer surrounded by a swirling black mist.

"Master's command is my everything. Please, Master, give me a little more time." Quirrell pleaded humbly for forgiveness, his body trembling constantly.

Voldemort ceased tormenting Quirrell and started speaking in a mild tone.

"Quirrell! You don't understand. This is your test. All these hardships are your trials! And I will help you. When you complete the trial, I will promise you everything you desire." Voldemort kept tempting Quirrell, just like a heartless boss squeezing a new employee.

"Master, I am willing to give everything for you!" Quirrell, lying prone on the ground, trembled and growled like a fanatic.

Hearing Quirrell's answer and feeling his devout attitude, Voldemort was quite pleased with his ability to manipulate others and slowly closed his eyes.

Quirrell also fainted due to the excruciating pain, still lying prone on the ground!

"I wonder what's going on with today's Defense Against the Dark Arts class! Quirrell didn't come!" Hermione pursed her lips and said.

"Who cares! It's best if he doesn't come. We'll have less homework!" Ron was frantically copying his homework. The quill was practically smoking.

"That's right. And we don't have to smell that strange smell either!" Harry Potter was also making up his homework at a speed no less than Ron's.

"It's okay! Finals are coming soon. He'll be gone soon enough!" Light said slowly as he flipped through a book, uttering a scary statement.

"What do you mean?" When Harry Potter and Ron heard this, their pens paused for a moment. Hermione also stopped turning the pages of her book and looked at Light.

"Legend has it that the Dark Lord put a Curses on the Defense Against the Dark Arts. No one can teach it for more than a year. In serious cases, there could be life-threatening danger."

"So scary!" Harry Potter stopped writing and couldn't help but swallow his saliva.

Ron and Hermione stopped writing and exchanged a look. Remembering Light's behavior of constantly misleading Hagrid before, Hermione asked suspiciously, "You didn't make this up, did you?"

"Definitely not. Do I look like someone who would lie?" Light said with a righteous look, even giving a thumbs up with his right hand.

"So awesome!"

Harry Potter and Ron praised very supportively. Hermione rolled her eyes so hard they almost disappeared into the sky.

"Alright! Alright! Hurry up and do your homework! The exam is coming soon, and you still need to review!" Hermione interrupted the three of them from acting silly and kept urging.

"We're trying our best! But the professors have assigned too much homework. It's completely different from before!" Ron's pen didn't stop, and neither did his mouth.

"That won't do! We have to pass the exam to move up to the second grade. I should have pushed you to start studying earlier!" Hermione said regretfully, clenching her fist.

When Harry Potter and Ron heard Hermione's words, their hands, which were busy copying homework, involuntarily trembled.

"It doesn't matter. Harry Potter and Ron usually attend classes well. Relax, they will definitely pass!" Light comforted the two who were feeling down on a daily basis.

Harry Potter and Ron had no choice but to complete the onerous schoolwork under Hermione's supervision.

"Finally finished! Help!" Ron threw down his pen and lay on the table, looking completely drained.

Harry Potter leaned weakly against the back of the chair, holding up his right hand. "My hand is about to give way!"

"Stop pretending. Get ready to go to dinner!" Light looked at the two who were feigning death with a speechless look.

"Okay, okay! Let's go!" Ron cheerfully joined Light in dragging Harry Potter to the dining hall.
