Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: Garcia and John

Light walked up to the fallen man. With a gentle wave of his wand, the Spells was dispelled!

Just as the man on the ground was about to sit up, he heard a young voice.

"If I were you, I wouldn't try getting up. You've lost a lot of blood. You'll just end up falling right back down even if you do manage to stand up!"

It seemed the man had used up all his energy when he tried to Attack Light. Lying on the ground, gasping for breath, he asked, "Who are you? How did I end up here!"

"Who am I? Don't you remember?" Light retorted. Without waiting for the man to continue speaking, Light showed an impatient expression.

"Forget it. I'm busy now. I'll deal with you when I'm free tonight!"

After saying that, Light cast another Stupefy at him. After seeing the man fall into a deep sleep, he casually transformed a carving knife into a blanket and covered the man with it.

Then he turned around and went upstairs to open the shop, waiting for the man's "guardians" to come and claim him.

In the pale - blue light, Light compared the wand with the book carefully, checking if it was up to the level of a Hogwarts house treasure.

Suddenly, the door of the shop was pushed open. When he heard the crisp doorbell, Light put away the wand, closed the book, and greeted, "Welcome!"

The wizard who walked into the shop was wearing a black robe with a long tail. His greasy long hair was just as bad as Boggin's. He stared blankly at the counter.

"Professor! Why are you here!" Light said happily when he saw the person.

"Rags, what are you doing here?" Professor Snape stared at Light and said in a low voice.

"I just happen to know the boss here. He asked me to help him run the shop!" Light replied vaguely.

Professor Snape didn't say much and just nodded silently.

"Professor, why did you suddenly come to this shop? It basically sells Alchemical Spells props." Light stood up and asked curiously.

Professor Snape was silent for a moment. Rarely, his tone was filled with helplessness as he said, "Many shops have been raided lately. I heard this one was spared, so I came here to see if I could get lucky."

Hearing this reason, Light didn't ask any more questions. Instead, he silently gave a thumbs - up to Boggin. Then he sat back in his seat and watched the monitor.

"That'll do!" Professor Snape picked out some ingredients and showed them to Light at the counter.

"Dinglingling!" A burly wizard in his thirties, wearing a shabby robe, pushed open the door and entered.

"Welcome!" Light quickly packed the materials for Professor Snape while greeting the new customer.

After entering the shop and looking around, the wizard walked straight to the counter. Ignoring Professor Snape who had just paid, he introduced himself to Light.

"Hello! My name is Garcia. I'm sorry for the offense my family caused you yesterday. I'll also make compensation. I hope you won't hurt my family!" Garcia looked at Light sincerely.

Light looked at Garcia expressionlessly. After thinking for a moment, he said to Professor Snape, "Professor, I need to talk to him alone. I won't see you off."

Professor Snape took the packed materials. His brow furrowed imperceptibly. He glanced at the burly middle - aged wizard and then at the short twelve - year - old boy. After pondering for a moment, he said,

"Go ahead and talk. I'll look around to see if there's anything else I need."

Having said that, Professor Snape left the counter and headed towards the shelves.

Seeing Professor Snape walking away with the bag, Garcia didn't pay much attention. Instead, he said to Light seriously with a straight face:

"I'm willing to make compensation. Neither I nor my family members want to lose John!"

Hearing Garcia's soft yet assertive words, Light didn't care. He said with a suddenly enlightened look, "So his name is John!"

Seeing Light's nonchalant attitude, Garcia suddenly felt something was amiss.

"I wonder..."

"I've got some ideas about treating werewolves! I need test subjects!"

Light was too lazy to beat around the bush with Garcia and directly stated his purpose.

"What do you mean?"

Garcia's tone turned gloomy, and his demeanor became sharp.

Professor Snape, who had been keeping an eye on their conversation, walked out from behind the shelves at this moment. He held a wand in his hand, and his eyes were not as vacant as usual.

"Werewolf venom isn't a virus or Curses. It's an aberration caused by Magic Power."

"This abnormal Magic Power isn't anything special under normal circumstances, but under certain circumstances, it can contaminate the spirit and transform the body, leading to werewolf transformation!"

"I've isolated this Magic Power from the werewolf's blood. This power is so strong that no wizard of this level could possibly possess it."

"If we can tame or strip this power, maybe we can restore werewolves to normal!"

Light ignored Garcia's hostility and confidently voiced his thoughts. It was obvious that he wanted to drag the potion - master who had just appeared into this matter.

Noticing that Garcia started to lower his head in thought, Light couldn't help raising his eyebrows. He was surprised in his heart and thought, "I thought this guy was just a muscle - headed brute, but it turns out he's quite intelligent!"

"It's not impossible. Someone has already conducted some Research and developed a similar potion!" Professor Snape slowly stepped forward.

"Really?" Garcia, who had been deep in thought, was startled by Professor Snape's words and said in surprise.

"He and I have conducted some Research, and I happen to know part of the potion's recipe." Professor Snape said vaguely.

Noticing that Professor Snape had fallen for it, Light slightly curled the corner of his mouth. He waved his wand to activate the magical defenses.

"The person is down there. Follow me!" After saying that, Light led the way towards the basement.

Seeing Professor Snape still staring at him, Garcia gritted his teeth and waved his hand. He sent a signal outside and then, followed by Professor Snape, caught up with Light who was ahead.

When they reached the basement, they could see a man covered with a blanket lying upright on the ground.

To Light's surprise, Garcia's attitude was calm. He didn't question Light or get angry.

Garcia walked up steadily, took out his wand to lift the Spells on John, and asked with concern about his situation.

Finding that he was only a bit weak and not injured, Garcia immediately felt relieved. After thanking Light, he said,

"His name is John, and my name is Garcia. We are nameless beasts roaming the world!"

Garcia helped John up and said with a sad expression.

Ignoring his deliberate act of playing the pitiful one, Light simply introduced himself and also introduced Professor Snape, who didn't want to talk much.

"My name is Light Rogers. Just call me Light! This is my teacher. You can call him Professor!"

"Excuse me, how can we assist you?"

Garcia shielded John, who was only wrapped in a blanket, behind himself and looked steadily at Professor Snape and Light.

"Draw blood. I still have quite a lot of blood in the werewolf state. Now I need the blood in the human state!"

"Then separate the Magic Power from the two types of blood for comparison to Research the differences between them!" As Light spoke, he picked up a syringe.

"Let me do it!" Garcia glanced at John, who was too weak to stand steadily, and offered his hand voluntarily.

Light looked at the outstretched hand, feeling a bit hesitant.

"Go ahead! I've done some Research. Werewolves' blood is basically similar, and the state doesn't make much difference!"

Professor Snape spoke up to dispel Light's doubts and held out the blood collection tube to Garcia.
