Chapter 100 - Chapter 100: Brewing Potions

Next to the huge cottage, a tall figure stood in front of four pony foals, looking hesitantly at the young man ahead.

Glancing at the four new lives huddled together behind him, Hagrid said with a troubled look,

"Must it be now? It's still so young!"

"Because it was just born, its blood currently contains the strongest Magic Power and has the greatest effect," Light said without the slightest hesitation, explaining why he needed to extract the spiritual blood right now.

Seeing his still reluctant expression, Light had to continue persuading him.

"I'm really sorry, Hagrid. My goal is its spiritual blood. I need it."

Looking at Light with a sincere face, Hagrid gritted his teeth and said in a muffled voice, "Alright, but you have to promise that you won't cause it Pain!"

"Of course. You can watch from the side!" Seeing that Hagrid had agreed, Light finally felt relieved.

When Hagrid ran over to soothe the new - born pony, Light took out the tools for extracting spiritual blood and walked towards it.

Hagrid held it down, his big hands constantly stroking its back, looking at Light extracting the spiritual blood with a pained expression.

The blood, which contained powerful Magic Power and strong life force, pooled in a special container.

With Light's skills, the new life shouldn't feel Pain, but due to the loss of its life force, it still struggled restlessly and neighed!

After quickly extracting enough spiritual blood for his use, Light stopped.

Light slowly reached out his hand and gently soothed the child, which was now too weak to stand.

Feeling that its life force was no longer draining away, it let out a whimper and then fell into a coma.

Looking at the unconscious little pony in front of him, Hagrid couldn't help crying again.

Seeing this, Light picked up the spiritual blood, said goodbye to Hagrid, and then turned to leave.

"Wait a minute. You played a part in its birth. Aren't you going to name it?"

Hagrid choked back a sob and called out to Light. He didn't speak too loudly, as if he was afraid of waking the sleeping child.

After thinking for a long time, Light shook his head, rejecting Hagrid's suggestion. He said slowly with a heavy tone,

"I'm sorry. It and the others were all born out of my personal desires. It seems that I'm not qualified to leave the first mark for them in this world."

After saying that, he quickly left the cottage under Hagrid's stunned gaze!

Running all the way again, Light returned to the potion - making studio transformed from the Room of Requirement!

Standing in front of the workbench, he looked at the spiritual blood he had just extracted and murmured to himself with a dazed look in his eyes,

"I thought I could be indifferent to everything. It seems a bit difficult for me!"

After a period of silence, Light snapped out of his complex thoughts and started to deal with the spiritual blood in his hand.

First, he extracted his own spiritual blood. Then, after separating the impurities from the two bottles of spiritual blood, he made the life force and Magic Power even stronger.

At the same time, he put the prepared ingredients into the two bottles of spiritual blood. Then, he used the tools borrowed from Professor Snape for a one - week fermentation and catalysis!

During this lull, Light began to prepare the materials for Brewing Potions. After processing the raw materials, the borrowed tools gave a prompt indicating that the fermentation was complete!

He took out the spiritual blood without the slightest impurity from the fermented materials, then set up the cauldron and started a fire.

The flames danced beneath the cauldron. After putting the raw materials into it one by one according to the recipe, he didn't start stirring immediately. Instead, he sank his spirit into his mind and prepared to start Adding Points.

He planned to use the sudden outburst of thoughts that would appear after Adding Points to participate in the reaction of the potion, thus constructing a suitable magic ritual.

This method was very risky, but it was worth a try.

Deep in his mind, Light's spirit looked at the stone stele and added his last two Mileage Points to Potions.

The scene in front of Light's eyes distorted slightly and finally turned into: Potions: 9.

Without much thought, after achieving his goal, his spirit immediately returned to his body.

Countless thoughts surged in his mind. Light's eyes were blank, but even so, he didn't forget about Brewing Potions.

His extremely active spirit plunged into the reaction of the potion. All the complex reactions and changes of the potion were captured by his active spirit.

In this instant, a magic ritual completely suitable for Light himself was woven.

"Put the brewed potion into a tree that has been growing for over a hundred years on a moonless night."

"After a month of fermentation, before the full - moon sets and the sun is about to rise, add points to Transfiguration and then drink the potion."

"Complete the transformation under the guidance of the sun!"

His spirit withdrew from the reaction of the potion. Looking at the brewed potion in the cauldron and the magic ritual in his mind to use with it, Light nodded in great satisfaction.

Through calculation, Light found that today was exactly the new moon day. He glanced at the approaching night outside the window.

After filling the light - red potion into a container, he cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself and walked straight towards the Forbidden Forest.

Along the way, Light kept analyzing his magic ritual. A tree that had grown for over a hundred years represented the prosperity of life and a firm self.

The moon represented the state of the spirit. The new moon was nothingness, while the full - moon was chaos.

In occultism, the full - moon represented abundance and overflow. This night was also the most chaotic time among magical creatures.

The rising sun foreshadowed guidance and the growth of life!

So the whole process was to use the tree as an anchor point, experiencing a cycle from nothing to something and then the return of the spirit to the body.

Analyzing the ritual all the way, Light soon arrived at the Forbidden Forest. Through Care of Magical Creatures, he quickly distinguished which trees were over a hundred years old.

To make the ritual go better, he specifically found a tree by the river that could face the moon directly.

He used Transfiguration to make a hole in the tree, put the potion in, and then restored it to its original state.

Looking at the restored big tree, he let out a sigh about all the efforts he'd put into this bottle of potion and left a mark beside it.

After finishing the task at hand, Light left the Forbidden Forest and quietly returned to the castle under the moonless night sky dotted with stars.

After returning to the castle, Light went straight back to his dormitory and lay on the bed, thinking about the role of Mileage Points in the ritual.

'Adding Points to Transfiguration is probably to enhance one's perception and gain more experience. It doesn't matter much if I don't add Points.'

'But I still want to do better. If I don't get a single Mileage Point this month, I'll harvest the Horcruxes.'

As time passed, Light's second Halloween at Hogwarts was approaching.

During this time, apart from Lockhart causing a stir every now and then, Hogwarts was generally peaceful.

Perhaps the basilisk was badly hurt by the Fiendfyre curse, for there were no signs of its appearance at all.

In this regard, Light could only take one step at a time. Right now, since no one's been injured, no one'll believe me.

Even if someone got hurt, I've already told Old Dumbledore the location of the Chamber of Secrets.

The chance of Old Dumbledore dealing with the Chamber of Secrets isn't just slim; it's basically zero.
