Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The Peak of Swordsmanship – Wide-Eyed Students and Satoru’s Shameless Trickery

First Swordsmanship Lesson – The Law of 'Shameless Cunning'

Under the moonlit canopy of the dense forest, Satoru-sensei stood tall, his cloak fluttering like a swordsman long hidden from the world.

Before him stood his three students, each with a distinct presence:

Kakashi – Cold and calculating, observing like a panther stalking its prey. Obito – Burning with energy, fists clenched as if ready to take on the entire world. Gai – Eyes blazing, his spirit so fiery it might set the forest ablaze.

Satoru clasped his hands behind his back, his expression deep and unreadable.

Of course…

That was just for show.

Inside, he was a mess.

"I don't have the confidence to teach chakra like Kakashi, but swordsmanship… that's different.

Musashi, I entrust my fate to you!"

Taking a deep breath, he spoke in a slow, deliberate tone:

"I've thought this through. You three are too inexperienced to learn chakra control just yet."

Obito's eyes widened in shock.

"WHAT!? But I need to get stronger than Kakashi!"

Kakashi turned, voice calm yet laced with sarcasm.

"You say that, but you always lose to me."

Instantly, Obito's face turned red, veins bulging in frustration.

"That smug little bastard…!"

His mind flashed back to yesterday—

When he had boldly declared to Rin that he would surpass Kakashi and become a great ninja.

And then—

Kakashi floored him in a single move.

Right in front of Rin.

She had just smiled gently…

And then praised Kakashi instead.

HATE! I HATE THIS GUY!

Clenching his fists, Obito glared at Kakashi with burning resentment.

"Today, I'll finally surpass you!"

Satoru smirked on the outside but internally, his mind was racing.

"Who should I spar with?"

His gaze landed on Kakashi—the boy who had defeated Genin at age five and became a Chunin at six.

"Nope. Not touching that monster."

He turned to Gai, whose legendary eyebrows and endless energy radiated intensity.

"…Also nope. This one's a physical beast."

Then, he glanced at Obito—

The loudmouth who always boasted about surpassing Kakashi but hadn't even gotten close.

"…Perfect. You're the one."

Master-Level Strategy – Choosing the Weakest Opponent

Feeling incredibly smart and strategic, Satoru mentally patted himself on the back.

"A great master doesn't have to be the strongest—just smart enough to dodge the strongest!"

Nodding in satisfaction, he spoke confidently:

"Obito, step forward. I'll spar with you."

Obito's face lit up with excitement.

"Yes! Watch this, Kakashi! Today, I'm going to—"

The Sword in His Hands – A Familiar Yet Foreign Sensation

Picking up a wooden sword, Satoru suddenly froze.

As his fingers gripped the hilt, a strange feeling washed over him.

Something deep inside him stirred.

He traced the grain of the wood, feeling every slight vibration as he swung it lightly.

This sensation—

It was like reuniting with an old friend.

His muscles tensed slightly, breath steady, heartbeat calm—

His entire body naturally adjusted to the rhythm of battle.

A sudden gust of wind swept through the training ground, swirling around Satoru like a war god awakening.

His three students felt it immediately.

Kakashi's eyes narrowed, sharp as a hawk's.

"Satoru-sensei… isn't an amateur."

Gai's mouth fell open, sensing the overwhelming aura coming from his teacher.

Obito, on the other hand—

Didn't notice a thing.

Because he was already charging in!

First Exchange – Obito Falls and the Leaves Scatter

With a loud battle cry, Obito swung his wooden sword downward.

But at that moment—

Satoru's body moved on its own.

As if guided by an unseen force.

As if Musashi himself was moving his limbs.

His sword slashed through the air—

Fast. Too fast.

Obito didn't even see it.

A strong gust of wind hit him.

And then—

THUD!

He tripped over a tree root and fell flat on his face.

But Satoru's sword didn't stop.

With a sharp whoosh, it cut through the air—

And sliced straight into a massive tree behind Obito.

CRACK!

A deep gash split the trunk, shaking the entire tree.

Moments later—

Rustle…

Leaves slowly drifted from the sky, covering the ground, gently settling on the stunned faces of his students.

All three of them stood frozen.

Wide-eyed.

Mouths slightly open.

Satoru, on the other hand—

Panicked internally.

"Shit! Is Obito still in one piece!?"

If the kid got seriously hurt, would the system kick him back to the afterlife!?

But then—

Obito pushed himself up, blinking at the fallen leaves around him.

Then he looked at the deep cut on the tree.

Then back at Satoru.

His jaw dropped further.

Satoru quickly regained his composure, clasping his hands behind his back.

His voice calm, unwavering:

"I foresaw that you would trip, Obito."

The three kids stared.

Obito still had his mouth hanging open, trying to process what just happened.

Kakashi narrowed his eyes, twitching slightly.

"…Is this guy serious?"

But regardless—

Satoru-sensei was starting to enjoy teaching these kids more than he expected.
