"What was that for? I could have run just fine..." Freyja said with a flushed face. I had managed to outrun Hela and reached my room before her. Consider it a mutual understanding between us—but she won't disturb me now.
"Oh... and here I thought that you enjoyed it and planned to do it every once in a while," I said with a smile, teasing her. Sadly, hearing my teasing voice, she stopped blushing... Some of the cons of your fiancée being your best friend—she just knows you far too well.
But since she knew me so well, she also knew what to say next to keep me in a happy mood. She put on a serious face and said, "Well... I didn't hate it."
"Oh, it seems that I have to continue doing it often then..." I said with a smile.
"Maybe you should... but would you only do that? Now I'm here alone with you in your room... and you're not going to do anything?" Yeah, she was flirting... and although I had some plans, that can be done later. For now, there's a beautiful woman in front of me.
"Oh my sweet summer child... how innocent you are to even think that I won't do anything to you in this situation..." I said with a smile, came closer to her, and lifted her chin up with my fingers, making eye contact...
Of course, after that, we kissed and made out a bit... No, we did not take the final step—just some quality time together.
"I'm planning on going on a trip... Do you want to come together with me?" I asked, as we both lay on the bed after an intense cuddling session.
"A trip? Where are we going?" she asked curiously.
"To Midgard." Yes, I wanted to go to Earth. Nothing much, just wanted to see it. After all, seeing human history was something many people wanted to do, and in this life, I had the chance to do so. Of course I would take the opportunity and witness it myself.
"Midgard? Isn't it just full of wild people who aren't even properly civilized?" Freyja asked with curiosity.
"Maybe... but I want to visit Midgard, so come with me, okay?" I persuaded her—and the best way to persuade is simply not giving an option.
And she agreed too. The next day, I went to Father and talked to him about my journey to Midgard, for which he agreed. After all, Midgard, as part of the Nine Realms, was under Asgard's dominion, so visiting was no big deal—though he was surprised by my sudden travel interest.
The very next day, Freyja and I were once again face to face with Heimdall. Dude has useful eyes—maybe I should copy them later...
[Already done, Master.]
'Good job, Raph. Then start enhancing them, of course, and also initiate evolution of the eyes using the Life Divinity. Regulate the evolution to yield the best possible results, and once you're done, we can change my eyes to that set.'
[On it, Master. I will simulate every possible result to make you the best pair of eyes possible.]
'All the best, Raph.'
[Thank you, Master~]
"Heimdall, please send us to Midgard," I ordered him. There was no need to specify anything else, since Heimdall, with his eyes, would naturally select the best place for us to land. And even if we want to move, I can just use my gate spell.
"Yes, Your Highness," said Heimdall in his usual serious attitude. Then he proceeded to insert his sword into the keyhole... or swordhole in this case, and opened the Bifrost.
The Rainbow Bridge once again flared to life and sucked us into a hyperspeed journey which lasted for like... seconds. And boom—we are on Midgard.
Somewhat ahead of us was a city/town...
So, where are we?
[That should be Babylon, according to my estimates.]
'Babylon, eh... good place...'
5000 B.C.E., the current time era. Of course, people don't call it that right now, but for our sake, let's mention it as that. The Earth during this time was quite the interesting place, since it was around this time that the Eternals came and started to hunt the Deviants which roamed around the world.
It was also around this time that the first mutant, Apocalypse, was born in Egypt, starting the age of mutants there...
Clearly a time filled with several interesting events. There were even some mystical users who followed some ancient deities, making this time period so interesting...
Now that I'm here... maybe I should also do something... something to leave a mark, but not completely change human history...
Yes... I have thought of what I should do. I will create a hidden nation... like Wakanda. I mean, I won't literally create them myself, but I will guide humans to do so. And to make it have some difference from Wakanda, I will make this nation rely on technology and magic combination—like Asgard, but more attuned towards technology.
They will worship the Aesir, and they will all be blessed by me... Yes, blessed by the God of Life himself, ensuring they are evolved further than humans. They would be stronger, smarter, and better looking than ordinary humans...
Let's take myths as an example and name them: High Humans.
So, where should I put them? Hmmm... I will decide that after I complete my journey...
'Raph, after we encounter the present humans, scan them, and ensure a proper evolution simulation of them according to my demands. Oh, and also add a controller switch ingrained into their DNA... which they can't remove, no matter how advanced they become. Better than that, make it ingrained into their DNA, and learning about or researching into that controller genetically repulses them.'
[A good plan to ensure they never go too out of hand, Master. I will start research as soon as we encounter humans.]
"Let's go, Freyja," I said, extending my hand toward her, walking toward Babylon, where the people were scared shitless talking about the Bifrost and how gods had come down to Earth...
Well, they weren't wrong, I guess.
