Chapter 2 - The Eye of The Tiger

"Now what am I supposed to do."

I wondered in my mind.

Among many of the allies of that person, she was the easiest for me to meet.

The others include a master who lives on an island covered by a boundless ocean, a master who lives in another world that is not on Earth, an elder who lives on a faraway planet and a cat who lives on a tower that was connected to a place where the God resides.

There is no way I could train under them let alone find them.

Then that means there are only two paths for me.

Stay at home and hope that that person will be strong enough to protect the earth or become stronger using my very own efforts.

"There are people that changed their lives because of a New Year resolution. If I just spend my new chance as a normal person after being placed in a world where you can make any of your wishes come true then I must be a moron."

I decided. If I can't get a shortcut I will just bulldoze it.

I wrote a letter to my mother to tell her about what I was going to do and then left West City.

It would be hard to find any of the powerful masters who trained Goku but there are ways to become stronger without getting their assistance.

I got on my bike put on my helmet and rode towards the place where my fate lead me.

*****

I arrived at the bottom of a place called Korin Tower after travelling for about a month.

I spent all of my allowance money that I got from my mother for fuel and and food to make this trip.

"This place is closer to West City than I thought."

I said as I looked upward at the Korin Tower that extends even beyond the cloud.

"Are you planning to climb the tower?" A large muscular brown-skinned man who was wearing tribal clothes asked me.

I looked at him. And remembered about his existence.

It was the father who was going to be killed by a powerful enemy of that person. Before being revived again.

Everything worked out for him in the end.

But he had to entrust the safety of his son to a stranger when he was dying and if that person was not there he would have stayed dead and the fate of his son also would be the same as him.

He was one of the reasons why I decided that I had to get stronger.

An example of harm falling upon someone despite trying to live a peaceful life.

"Are you mad? If I fell from there I would die."

I said to him.

He laughed aloud at my answer.

"My bad. It would be the case for a non-martial artist. Isn't it?"

"I am Bora of the Karinga Tribe. If you were not planning to climb the tower What brings you here young man?"

He asked me.

"I have a request to make. Can you train me to become a manly man such as yourself?"

I said while bowing.

He might be just another drop of water in the grand scheme of things but as a human who has a limited chance of meeting someone as strong as him, I have to take my chance even if I have to throw away my pride.

"Hey. What are you doing young man? I am just a failed martial artist who was unable to even climb this tower. If you want to become stronger you should seek the guidance of the master who lives at the top of the tower."

He said to me as he helped me get up.

"Please. I want to become stronger and I don't think I am qualified enough to climb this tower."

I pleaded again.

"Dad. Why don't you train him? He seems like a nice person."

A small boy said as he walked out of a small tent that was near the tower.

"Upa."

The man said as he picked up the boy in his arms.

He then takes another look at me.

"I don't want to reject you like this but I must still refuse. You see me and my son are the only two that are living in this place. No matter how strong I am I don't think I can train you while having to look after my son."

He said as he gave a reasonable explanation.

"Please. An hour a day would suffice. Just let me train under you."

I continued to beg.

He seems to be uncomfortable with having to reject the request of someone who is throwing away his dignity.

"Fine. For One hour a day. I will give you the guidance that you might need for a single year. I can't accompany you or look after you outside of that one hour."

He said to me.

"I still would recommend you to look for a better martial artist than me to follow."

"But I will train you in basic since it does not seem like you are going to change your mind."

I nodded at his words.

I was planning to search for my father at first but since I have met a powerful martial artist that cannot be harmed by bullets I knew I had to postpone my journey.

It is true that if I was able to enter the Red Ribbon Army the chance of me getting a better teacher than Bora would increase.

But that is if I can find the army base.

And even if I found the base the chance of me being killed before being able to enter was high since according to my knowledge my father was not a high-ranking member.

No matter how I think about it I cannot pass on this kind of opportunity.

I don't have enough money or power to go around the world multiple times and I don't have a green device that will lead me to extraordinary people.
