The next morning, when Wang Feng slowly opened his eyes, it was already around seven o'clock. He found Huo Yuhao beside him, just finishing his Purple Demon Eye training and getting ready to eat. So, the two of them headed to the cafeteria together.
They quickly finished their breakfast and walked straight back toward the dorm building without wasting time.
As they approached their dorm, they found the door to their room wide open.
The two of them exchanged glances, then walked cautiously toward the room.
At that moment, a young man stepped out of the room and froze in shock when he saw Huo Yuhao and Wang Feng. He was particularly stunned upon seeing Wang Feng—he had always been confident in his looks, but in that instant, he knew Wang Feng was more handsome than him.
The boy had smooth features, fair skin, and a pair of striking eyes colored a unique shade of pinkish-light blue. His neatly cut short hair matched his eye color, and his handsome appearance rivaled even Bei Bei's. He looked about the same age as them.
"Who are you? What are you doing in our dorm room?" Wang Feng asked.
The boy glared back arrogantly. "Move."
Being ignored like that irritated Wang Feng, but he held back his temper.
Wang Feng narrowed his eyes, staring at the unfamiliar boy at their door. "Isn't this dorm meant for only two people? Why is there someone else here?"
The boy frowned, clearly annoyed. "That's what I want to ask," he said in a proud tone. "Why was I assigned to a room that already has occupants?"
A confused Huo Yuhao asked, "Who are you?"
The boy folded his arms across his chest and casually replied, "My name is Wang Dong. I'm also a new student at this academy."
Wang Feng and Huo Yuhao exchanged surprised glances. No one had informed them about a new roommate. "Hold on, this must be a mistake. This room is supposed to be for the two of us only," Wang Feng said, clearing his throat, trying to stay calm.
Wang Dong raised an eyebrow, clearly impatient. "Check if you don't believe me. I don't want to share a room either, but since the other dorms are full, I was forced to stay here."
Huo Yuhao frowned. "Is the academy really out of dorm rooms?"
As if to prove his point, Wang Dong pulled out a key and his academy badge. "This is the proof. I was officially assigned to this room. If you still don't believe me, go ask the academy."
Wang Feng clicked his tongue. He could see that Wang Dong wasn't happy about the situation either, but there wasn't much they could do.
Huo Yuhao sighed. "Well… if this is the academy's decision, I guess we'll just have to accept it."
Wang Dong walked past them but stopped after a few steps. He then said, "Since you're staying in this dorm, and since you did such a good job cleaning it, I'll allow you to stay here—for now. But I have a few rules you must follow. First, don't bring anyone into the dorm casually; second, don't walk around naked and disturb others; third, no snoring at night; fourth, don't bother me; and fifth, you're in charge of cleaning the room from now on, but don't touch my bed. Understand?"
"Why should we listen to you!?" Wang Feng said angrily, annoyed by Wang Dong's condescending attitude.
Wang Dong snorted coldly. "If you don't want to follow my rules, I'll beat you up. Try me if you don't believe it."
Wang Feng immediately responded to the challenge. "Fine! Let's go outside!" Without hesitation, he rushed out of the dorm.
Huo Yuhao followed, feeling uncomfortable with Wang Dong's arrogant tone—his childhood filled with mistreatment made him particularly sensitive to such behavior.
Wang Dong smirked dismissively and walked out behind them.
Shrek Academy had a vast campus, with many open areas separating the buildings. Wang Feng stood in the open space outside the dorms, turned around, and waited with a calm expression.
Before long, Wang Dong arrived and stood in front of him.
"Before I beat you up, at least tell me your name!" Wang Dong said arrogantly.
Wang Feng, still irritated, replied, "I'll see if you're even worthy of knowing it."
Wang Dong snorted angrily. With a light tap of his left foot on the ground, he shot forward like an arrow released from a bow. Not only was he fast, but his movement was incredibly agile. In an instant, he was right in front of Wang Feng.
Wang Dong lifted his right leg and aimed a direct kick at Wang Feng's chest.
As the kick was about to land, Wang Feng noticed something—Wang Dong had unusually long legs, giving him extended reach in his attacks.
But just before the kick could connect, a hand shot out and firmly grabbed Wang Dong's leg.
Wang Dong was stunned. He hadn't expected Wang Feng to catch his attack so easily—especially with just one hand. He had assumed his opponent would dodge or deflect, not catch it outright.
Wang Feng's grip was so strong that Wang Dong couldn't pull his leg back.
Before Wang Dong could react, Wang Feng yanked his leg downward forcefully.
Thud!
Wang Dong lost his balance and nearly fell. But his reflexes were quick—he caught himself with his left hand on the ground and flipped backward to create distance.
Wang Feng remained in place, his expression neutral, as if nothing had happened. "For someone so arrogant, your skills are… disappointing," he said in a mocking tone.
Wang Dong clenched his teeth. He hadn't expected his opponent to be this strong. Not only had Wang Feng caught his strike with ease, but he had thrown him off balance with a single, simple move.
"Don't get cocky!!" Wang Dong shouted and rushed forward again to face Wang Feng.
He unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, his movements clearly showing a solid foundation in martial arts.
But even so, none of his attacks landed. Wang Feng only needed slight shifts of his body to dodge every strike.
"Why do you keep dodging?" Wang Dong asked in frustration.
Wang Feng was silent for a moment, baffled by the absurdity of the question. Isn't it only natural to avoid getting hit? Why would you ask something like that?
Seeing Wang Feng unresponsive, Wang Dong didn't hesitate. He dashed toward Wang Feng with his fastest speed and launched another attack.
Wang Feng remained still, as if he couldn't react to the incoming strike.
BAM!
A loud thud echoed through the air.
Wang Dong's fist landed squarely on Wang Feng's chest. But Wang Feng didn't even flinch—he stood tall, as if the blow was just a breeze.
Wang Dong was stunned. Before he could pull his hand back, Wang Feng gripped his wrist tightly.
Wang Dong tried to break free, but it was no use. His strength was no match for Wang Feng's.
Wang Feng looked at him and calmly said, "That punch of yours… isn't even enough to move me an inch."
Then, with a powerful tug, Wang Feng pulled Wang Dong toward him, spun his body, and harshly threw him down.
THUD!
Wang Dong slammed into the ground with force.
Wang Dong's body slammed hard against the floor. The impact even caused several cracks on the surface, proving just how much power Wang Feng had used.
Of course, Wang Feng wasn't using his full strength. To defeat a fellow spirit master of the same rank, Wang Feng only needed to use 30–50% of his power. Especially since Wang Dong hadn't fused with his Martial Soul yet.
Wincing, Wang Dong slowly stood up. He glared at Wang Feng with annoyed eyes.
"Don't think this is over!" Wang Dong shouted as he activated his Martial Soul.
A pair of wings spread out from Wang Dong's back. They were stunning—like waves of white crashing into a blue ocean, their colors and patterns spectacular: a violet-blue hue with shimmering halos that danced across the surface. Sometimes deep blue, sometimes sky blue, sometimes light blue, and streaks of white light glittered like embedded jewels across the wings—dazzling and captivating.
"This is just getting started, get ready!!" Wang Dong declared proudly, flapping his wings with renewed confidence. The self-assurance that had been crushed earlier by Wang Feng slowly returned.
However, Wang Feng merely looked at him with a calm, indifferent expression.
Wang Dong wasted no time. Two spirit rings appeared beneath his feet—one yellow, one purple. His yellow spirit ring began to glow.
Guillotine Wings!
His wings turned a dark blue with sharp golden patterns glowing along the edges. He lunged at Wang Feng at lightning speed, slashing his wings like blades meant to cut through anything.
Swish!
But before the wings could even touch him, Wang Feng moved. With a light step to the side, he dodged Wang Dong's attack effortlessly.
Wang Dong frowned. "What?!"
He couldn't believe Wang Feng had avoided his attack so easily.
"Too slow," Wang Feng said.
Unwilling to accept that, Wang Dong attacked again with a flurry of slashes, trying to surround Wang Feng with his attacks. But no matter how fast or tricky his moves were, Wang Feng always managed to dodge them with minimal movement, as if he had already predicted them all.
Frustration boiled inside Wang Dong. "Fine then! Try dodging this! Butterfly Goddess Radiance!"
His purple spirit ring lit up. At the same time, dozens of golden light beams shot from his wings, chasing Wang Feng at high speed. Some light orbs formed in the air, ready to explode on impact.
But what happened next shocked Wang Dong.
Without hesitation, Wang Feng stepped forward, slipping past all the attacks with nearly invisible movements. It was as if every single one of Wang Dong's attacks just missed on their own.
"What?! How is that possible?!" Wang Dong was stunned.
In the blink of an eye, Wang Feng was already right in front of him. His hand moved swiftly.
Bang!
With a single palm strike to the chest, Wang Feng sent Wang Dong flying backward, slamming him hard to the ground.
However, as Wang Feng's palm made contact with Wang Dong, he felt a strange sensation. Wang Dong's chest was… very soft. It didn't feel like a boy's chest at all.
Wang Dong coughed lightly and looked up at Wang Feng with wide eyes. He… lost. And not just lost—he hadn't even been able to land a single hit.
Then he remembered where Wang Feng had struck him. His face instantly flushed, a mix of embarrassment and anger.
"Hey, why did it feel kinda weird when I touched your chest?" Wang Feng asked innocently.
Wang Dong, already embarrassed and furious, nearly exploded upon hearing him say it out loud!
He clenched his fists, his face red with shame and frustration. "YOU!! DON'T TALK NONSENSE!!" he shouted, stepping forward to shove Wang Feng with both hands.
But Wang Feng reflexively grabbed his wrists and pulled them aside. Caught off guard, Wang Dong lost his balance and stumbled forward.
"A-Ah!"
Due to the momentum, Wang Dong tripped over his own feet and fell toward Wang Feng.
Seeing Wang Dong about to crash into him, Wang Feng instinctively reached out to catch him. But because they were so close, he ended up pulling Wang Dong even closer instead.
And in an instant—
Plop!
Their lips met.
Wang Dong's eyes widened. So did Wang Feng's. Both froze, their minds going blank. Wang Dong could feel Wang Feng's breath on his face, and Wang Feng could feel the warmth of Wang Dong's.
A few seconds passed—though it felt like an eternity.
Then—
"MMMPH!!" Wang Dong snapped back to reality and tried to pull away. But in his panic, his movements were clumsy. He tried to back away quickly but ended up stumbling again, nearly falling backward.
Wang Feng, still holding his wrists, quickly pulled him forward to prevent him from falling. But that only made Wang Dong crash into him again—and this time, their faces were even closer.
"S-STOP!!" Wang Dong shouted, pushing against Wang Feng's chest and finally managing to break away. His face was redder than a boiled crab, while Wang Feng just stood there, looking confused.
"Uh… That was an accident, right?" Wang Feng blinked, still trying to process what had just happened.
Wang Dong, speechless and utterly embarrassed, covered his face with both hands and ran away as fast as he could.
Huo Yuhao, who had been watching their duel the entire time, was frozen in shock, his mouth wide open. His beautiful eyes blinked several times before he finally regained his senses.
Wang Feng, who had just finished processing what happened, stood still. He recalled the moment that had just transpired—a tragedy he would never forget. HE HAD JUST KISSED A GUY!!!!!!
Meanwhile, Huo Yuhao finally managed to speak, though he was still in shock.
"…I'm never going to forget this."
