Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

"What? You're not watching anymore? The show isn't over yet, the best part is still coming..."

Nan Song stormed into the bathroom, slammed the door, and threw a series of furious punches into the air, absolutely livid!

She just couldn't understand—why was Yu Jinwen so determined to marry a trash like Zhuo Xuan? She was starting to wonder if there was something seriously wrong with his eyes!

A knock came at the bathroom door. Nan Song snapped, "I said I'm not watching!"

Bai Luyu pulled open the car door, his expression grave. "Something's happened. We just got word from the scene—your mother-in-law is on the rooftop, threatening to jump."

"What?!"

Nan Song paled and rushed out in a panic.

Bai Luyu chased after her. "Hey, you're not seriously planning to go, are you? We're in Nan City—it'll take two or three hours to drive to Bei City..."

"A life is at stake—we'll fly if we have to!"

The wedding venue was already in chaos.

The guests had no idea what was happening. The ceremony had inexplicably halted, and suddenly the banquet hall doors burst open. A fierce wind swept in, scattering papers like snowflakes across the room.

People grabbed the sheets, only to find them listing "Ten Major Crimes" of Zhuo Xuan—each one more damning than the last.

Promiscuity, pathological lying, boastfulness, vanity, hypocrisy, shallowness, fake innocence, homewrecking, a dark-hearted nature, and, despite being a woman herself, a habit of belittling women.

"And she calls herself the daughter of a scholarly family? The Zhuo family's reputation is in the gutter."

Zhuo Xuan's parents, seated in the front row, had long lost face. Ignoring decorum, they stormed onto the stage, waving the "Ten Major Crimes" at their daughter. "Xuanxuan, what on earth is going on?"

Zhuo Xuan trembled with rage as she read the accusations, then pointed wildly into the crowd.

"Who did this? Who's trying to ruin me? Show yourself! Let's settle this face to face!"

"Face to face? You really dare?"

Yu Zeyu, having finally broken free from restraint, returned to the stage. He took the documents from Yu Fanyin and smirked at Zhuo Xuan. "Why don't you start by explaining what's really going on with your so-called illness? You've been pretending to have stomach cancer when all you have is anorexia. I actually felt sorry for you—thought it'd be cruel to hassle a terminally ill woman. Otherwise, did you really think you'd ever become my sister-in-law? Dream on!"

He moved to hurl the papers at her face, but Yu Jinwen intercepted them.

Yu Jinwen flipped through the documents, which clearly detailed Zhuo Xuan's medical history—in both Chinese and English.

The diagnosis of "stomach cancer" was exposed as a forgery, with every inconsistency laid bare.

Something so easily disproven, yet she'd managed to deceive him all this time?

A mocking smile curled Yu Jinwen's lips—whether at Zhuo Xuan or himself, even he didn't know.

He held up the documents, his gaze icy as he addressed Zhuo Xuan. "No wonder you refused to go to the hospital with me. Every word out of your mouth since you returned to the country has been a lie."

"No, Jinwen, it's not like that—let me explain..." Zhuo Xuan's eyes welled with desperate tears as she stumbled toward him in her wedding gown.

But for the first time, Yu Jinwen didn't step forward to steady her. Instead, he recoiled, his expression so cold and disgusted it was as if she were something toxic—something he feared would contaminate him.
