Leaving the house, Saya and Nagata made their way to a nearby park where Saya would play with Takashi, and Nagata would get some reading in.
"Brother, why do you always read a book anytime we go to the park?" Saya asked while holding Nagatas hand
"Because I like to read, and I don't wish to get dirty from playing with the other kids in the park," Nagata explained.
"I guess, but you should try to play with Takashi and get along with him," Saya added.
"Why, I thought you said he was an idiot. But I guess since you have a crush on him, I would see why you asked that," Nagata sighed.
"W-what are y-you saying? I don't have a crush on him," Saya replied, completely blushing while hitting Nagatas arm.
"Sorry, I was just joking," Nagata laughed, faking being in pain.
"You such an idiot, brother!" Saya said, running off her face, still blushing.
Seeing her reaction, I could not help but laugh a bit before running after her. After they reach the park, Saya starts playing with Takashi while ignoring Nagata.
Sitting on a nearby bench, Nagata began reading a magazine on guns, which was filled with his notes.
After an hour of playing, a few more kids got to the park. While Saya started playing house with the girls, one of them being Rei Takashi's crush, Takashi was playing with two boys named Morita and Kohta.
(This boy again...) Nagata said, making a mental note of Morita
Even though both boys, Morita and Kohta, asked Saya out multiple times, only Morita caused Nagata to interfere by touching her.
As time went on, Nagata made more notes on different guns, and he saw Kohta sit next to him, looking at his magazine.
"Hey Nagata, do you like guns too?" Kohta asked
"Yeah, do you?" Nagata said with a grin
"Yeah, my dad has a few guns from his army days, and he took me to the range with him. I didn't get to shoot, but it was fun to watch, so I also got into them," Kohta said with a big smile on his face.
(Now that I have his attention, I just need to get him to work for me) Nagata thought seeing Kohtas interest
"Really, do you think that I could come over and see them?" Nagata asked
"I have to ask my dad first, but I thought you didn't like hanging out with us,"
"No, I don't mind, I just prefer..."
"I said let go, Morita!" Saya yelled, gaining Nagatas attention
"Come on, play. Let me play, too. I can play Dad in your house game," Morita said with a grin.
"Hey Mortia, let go; I don't wish to get blood on my hands," Nagata said in a cold, calm voice that caused everyone to become slightly scared.
"...I-I was just joking, Nagata," Morita said, releasing Saya's hand and slowly walking backward.
"Woah, Nagata...don't you think you took it too far?" Kohta asked
"No, I didn't. That's my sister. I will do anything to protect her," Nagata replied, returning to his magazine.
After a few more hours of playing, Nagata and Kohta talked about guns, and all the kids started going home.
"Hey, Takashi, are you coming to our birthday tomorrow?" Saya asked
"Yeah, my parents say I have to," Takashi said, slightly upset.
"Really, I will see you tomorrow then!" Saya said excitedly before walking away
Seeing Saya walking home with a skip in her step, Nagata could not help but sigh.
"Hey, Takashi."
"What's up, Nagata?"
"My sister has a crush on you, but I know you have a crush on Rei. Stay away from her. It pisses me off that you will break her heart without realizing it," Nagata said in a cold tone before following behind Saya.
Standing there in shock, Takashi did not know what to say or do with what Nagata said.
Arriving back at their house, Saya went straight to her mom and started telling her about her day at the park while Nagata went back to his father's study.
"Nagata, you guys are back. Did anything happen today?" his father asked.
"No, nothing to worry yourself about," Nagata replied
"I see...Go see your mother. She wanted to talk to you?"
"Very well, father,"
Leaving the room, Nagata made his way to the living room, where his mother and Saya were still talking. Walking in, his mother saw him and asked Saya to go to her room.
"Saya, can you go to your room for a bit? I wish to speak with your brother for a bit,"
"But why can't I stay?" Saya asked
"Saya, listen to Mother," Nagat replied, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"...Fine, but I don't like this," Saya said, disappointed walking away.
"I swear that girl only listens to you now," his mother laughed.
"But anyway, I have something to ask you, Nagata,"
"Anything, Mother," Nagata replied, sitting next to her.
"Is there anyone you are interested in?" his mother asked, slightly shocking Nagata.
"...No, why do you ask?"
"Well, there will be a few important people coming tomorrow with their daughters who are near your age. I was just wondering if you would want to meet any of them," his mother explained.
(...I see)
"If Mother wishes for me to speak with these girls, I will,l but I can't guarantee. I have no interest in immature girls," Nagata replied
"immature, Nagata. I think you forget you are a child too," his mother laughed.
(only in body, which is becoming quite annoying) Nagata thought with a sigh
"But seriously, do you have any interest in girls your age?" his mother asked
"No...Maybe if they had daughters older than me, I would think about speaking with them out of my own volition," Nagata explained.
"To think my son would be into older women...I did not see this coming,"
