Chapter 24 - I Shall Resist the snakeussy (24)

Sun-Sun coiled around him like a predator savoring its meal, her body flush against his as she hummed in satisfaction. The soft steam escaping her lips was a clear sign—the intoxicating high of the power he had given her was overtaking her senses. Her usually calculating, teasing demeanor had melted into something far more dangerous.

Gabriel, in all his infinite wisdom, knew one thing for certain.

This was not good.

The way her snake-like eyes gleamed with mischief—no, something far more feral—sent a chill down his spine. Her tail wound around him tighter, securing her grip while her arms wrapped around his shoulders.

His first instinct was to push her away, but the problem was, if he did, he might actually hurt her. He wasn't about to accidentally snap her in half just because she was acting like she had downed a gallon of liquid courage.

Nah, more like she was on 20 honey packs, and he was the victim.

He did not want to be one of the victims of being diddled... He wanted melanin... melanin, not no gag reflex...

...no gag reflex, huh...

Snap out of it! he shouted to himself.

Kami, why me?

"Gabriel~" Sun-Sun purred, her breath tickling his neck as she leaned in closer, her weight pressing into him. "Mmm, such a thoughtful gift... I can feel it surging through me. Did you do this just for me~?"

"Do not phrase it like—"

The way she phrased it made it seem like he was in her, which he wasn't. And couldn't be. He had no dick.

She only chuckled... Oh fuck, he was cooked. He was about to become a victim.

"But you're so warm~" she murmured, her voice taking on a sultry lilt.

Oh fuck no.

"Sun-Sun," he said, voice low with warning, "I swear, if you don't get off me, I'm going to blow you—"

Okay, now that sounded so wrong.

"Oh my, how forward of you." Wow, he really ran into that one.

"This is not what I mea—"

Before he could finish, the heavens—those cruel, unfeeling bastards—decided to make his night even worse.

The door slid open... Not really a door, just that Mila Rose and Apacci were done hunting and had entered their little cave.

Mila Rose and Apacci stepped in.

And then... absolute silence.

Gabriel, still wrapped up in Sun-Sun's grasp, felt the weight of their stares—Mila Rose's sharp golden gaze narrowing in disbelief, Apacci's mouth slowly falling open as if her brain was still processing what she was seeing. The way Sun-Sun was draped over him, the light flush on her cheeks, the way she clung to him like a needy lover...

Oh fuck.

Before he could get a word in, Apacci's face twisted in horror.

"I knew you were a creep!" she shrieked, pointing an accusing finger at him.

Gabriel's eye twitched. "Hold the fuck on—"

He needed to explain himself, but he didn't even have the chance. Immediately, he was basically called a diddly disciple.

"Oh my god, I can't believe this," Mila Rose groaned, rubbing her temples. "We all thought you were just a little weird, but this?"

The fuck did she mean they all thought he was a bit weird... He was a normal man.

Nothing weird to see here.

Sun-Sun, still clearly enjoying herself, giggled softly against his shoulder. "Oh my~ Ladies, I assure you, Gabriel was very generous tonight~"

SHE WAS NOT HELPING.

Apacci recoiled like she had just been personally insulted by the universe. "OH HELL NO!"

"I did not do such a thing, I promise!" He added, as he was in such a compromising position...

It was like telling a guy you weren't fucking his girlfriend when he caught you in her bed, both naked and clothes on the floor.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!" Apacci continued her tirade, completely ignoring him. "WE TRUSTED YOU!"

"I DON'T EVEN HAVE A DICK!" Gabriel shouted back in frustration.

"THAT DOESN'T MAKE THIS BETTER!"

What the fuck was this conversation?!

Mila Rose crossed her arms, glaring at him with suspicion. "So what, you're just handing out power-ups now in exchange for... whatever the hell this is?"

"It's NOT what it looks like!" He tried to explain his situation, but he was looking like a diddler the more he spoke.

"Oh, really? Because it looks like you just got caught being a sneaky little perv," Apacci accused.

Gabriel wanted to slam his head against the nearest rock. "I swear to god—"

Then, the air in the room shifted.

Everyone froze as the unmistakable presence of her filled the space.

He could recognize that presence anywhere...

Shark-mommy.

Tier Harribel.

Her golden eyes took in the scene before her, gaze unreadable as she stood in the doorway. Sun-Sun, still latched onto Gabriel like a serpent playing with its prey. Mila Rose and Apacci, both bristling with indignation. And Gabriel... well, trying not to get diddled.

A beat of silence.

Then—

Harribel stepped forward, raised a hand, and without hesitation, struck Sun-Sun across the back of the head.

The snake-like hollow barely had time to register what was happening before she slumped against Gabriel, completely unconscious.

"Thank. Fucking. God," Gabriel exhaled, shoving Sun-Sun off of him like she was a used rag.

He almost got diddled. Oh lord.

Mila Rose and Apacci gawked at the scene, still processing what had just happened.

Harribel regarded him calmly. "Explain."

There were no ifs or buts about this; his black ass would have to explain everything to her.

Taking a deep breath, Gabriel finally had a chance to clear his name.

"Okay, first of all, I wasn't doing anything weird. I gave her a power boost, and apparently, it made her high as hell. Then she got a little too close, and then these two dumbasses walked in and decided to crucify me before I could even explain myself." He gestured wildly at Mila Rose and Apacci.

Harribel remained quiet, processing his words. Gabriel met her gaze, serious and unwavering.

After a moment, she nodded. "I see."

Mila Rose and Apacci, however, were still skeptical.

"You seriously believe him?" Apacci asked, crossing her arms.

"He has no reason to lie," Harribel said simply.

Gabriel sighed in relief. Finally, someone with an actual brain.

Harribel continued, "The way Sun-Sun reacted makes sense. Power, especially when granted suddenly, can be overwhelming. It is an intoxicating sensation, much like an aphrodisiac."

Gabriel grimaced. "Yeah, no kidding."

She glanced at him. "And since this power is yours, it is likely you are immune to its effects, meaning you wouldn't have even realized what it could do to others."

That actually made a lot of sense.

He rubbed the back of his head. "Guess I should, uh, work on controlling that better."

Harribel nodded. "That would be wise."

Mila Rose and Apacci exchanged glances, still not entirely convinced but unwilling to argue further.

Harribel turned her gaze back to him. "You should be more careful in the future, Gabriel. Not all power is a gift. Sometimes, it is a burden."

Gabriel held her gaze for a moment before nodding. "Yeah... I get that."

There was something reassuring about the way she regarded him—not as an idiot who just got caught in a ridiculous situation, but as someone she genuinely trusted to learn from his mistakes.

He felt... grateful.

Very, very grateful.

And then, of course, Apacci had to ruin the moment.

"So... you're saying he basically roofied Sun-Sun?"

Gabriel groaned. "Apacci, I swear to—"

"That is NOT what happened," Harribel cut in, her voice sharp.

Apacci immediately shut up.

Gabriel smirked. That's right. Shark mommy had his back.

A/N Gabriel escaped the Snakussy.

Sun-Sun is not an Arrancar yet, if we follow Canon, there is a decent amount of time before that happens, if I place the timeline somewhat right, the Vizard should have been banished by now.

Does anyone want to guess where he will be by the time Aizen comes to Hueco Mundo?
