POV: Wrath
As the boy rushed towards me with lightning surging around his hand, a chance of victory presented itself to me as I lifted him off the ground with my Aspect and began pulling him towards me, my actions startling him as he was unable to resist the attraction of my gravity and in the moment he arrived before me, I placed my hand onto his chest as gravity began to swell within my palm.
"Distortion." I uttered as I blasted a destructive force of gravity through his chest, but to my astonishment, the boy miraculously endured my attack as he only staggered backwards across the ground until he eventually collapsed onto a knee, spewing out blood as he clutched his chest with an alarmed expression.
I've used Distortion on this boy three times and yet, he's still able to retain his consciousness.
This boy's potential may even surpass Arthur's.
As the boy took a moment to recuperate, I released a tremendous amount of energy as the earth beneath us disintegrated into a thousand pieces while the air itself began to tremble violently from the sheer intensity of my power.
"Heavenly Order." I uttered as I completed my spatial technique, which placed an oppressing veil of gravity over a one mile radius as every being within the technique's effective range was flattened onto the ground with the exception of Pride and the boy, whose feet were buried within the ground from the immense pressure as his expression remained sharp, yet strangely calm despite being suppressed by my technique.
Although this technique expended most of my energy, the cost is worth it since a spatial technique of gravity is nearly impossible to withstand because of the sheer pressure it exudes.
The only way for someone to escape is through an extertion of overwhelming power and because the technique doesn't affect the user, I'm able to move freely within the my own space while the boy's speed should at least be reduced by half-
"Your judgment was wrong." The boy said with a cold, yet harsh tone as the flow of his lightning began to surge exponentially around his body until he vanished from my sight, but unlike before, this instance was different as I was unable to sense his Aspectual Force anymore, arising an unsettling sensation within me as his sudden disappearance left me apprehensive.
As a few seconds passed by, anxiety consumed my mind as I scanned the area nervously for the boy.
Where did he go?
I can't sense his Aspectual Force and he's nowhere to be found.
With my spatial technique active, his injured friends are unable to run away, but he doesn't seem like the type to abandon his friends.
Does he have another Aspect I'm unaware of-
As I pondered on the boy's location, standing before me was none other than the boy, whose fingers were raised towards my chest as my face tensed with fear and utter confusion from the boy's sudden appearance.
"This is the end, Wrath." The boy stated with absolute confidence as he smashed his fist into my solar plexus with a devastating one-inch punch, seizing my breath as I stumbled backwards, choking on my own blood until the boy flashed towards me and landed a destructive uppercut into my chin, sending me upwards through the canopy of the forest as my consciousness was met with a perpetual darkness until the scintillating light of the sun roused my senses, opening my eyes to a beautiful sight of the sunrise, which peeked over the Exterel Mountains in a welcoming manner as the vibrant sky looming above me was oddly gratifying.
Strange.
I could have swore I was just fighting someone-
Enthralled by the warm embrace of the morning sun, reality eventually struck as I quickly grasped my senses and looked below me in hopes of anticipating the boy's next attack, however, the boy was nowhere within my sights as I heard the faint sound of crackling from above, prompting me to direct my attention towards the source of the sound as it was from none other than the boy, who seemed to have descended from the heavens themselves in the form of a calamity as he held a fearsome bolt of lightning within his grasp.
You can't be serious.
Raising my guard would have been futile as the moment I was aware of his location, the boy sharpened his gaze and hurled the lethal bolt of lightning directly towards my chest, exploding onto my chest on contact as the impact sent me crashing into the earth below.
This boy…
Buried beneath the rubble of the forest, my body spazzing out in a violent manner from nearly being electrocuted alive as the boy's descent from the sky was in an instant, leaving a visible trail of lightning within the air as he smashed his foot into my face, burying me deeper within the earth and breaking my nose amidst the destruction.
He manipulated me into using a domain technique so I wouldn't have enough energy to defend myself!
In order to save myself, I used my Aspect to flatten the earth around me, forcing the boy to lose his balance as I swiped his foot from off my face and repelled him away, picking myself up in the midst as I wiped off the excessive blood flowing from my broken nose.
As the fight was nearing its end, the two of us rushed towards each other and began exchanging attacks, but despite his speed being suppressed from my domain of gravity, it seemed as if he unaffected while his strength gradually grew, attacking me with a variety of mixed-martial arts until he ended our exchange by smashing his fist into my ribcage, breaking a few of my ribs as my lips tightened in anguish with wrinkles forming where none existed before.
Staggering backwards from the impact, I began coughing up blood as the boy unsheathed his broken sword and dashed towards me, wielding his weapon like a dagger as he stabbed me multiple times across my torso until I repelled the boy away, his previous attack creating a chain of deleterious effects within my body as I buckled over with blood flowing from
my mouth, yet my disadvantageous state fueled me with exhilaration as my spatial technique began to weaken from nearing my exhaust limit, prompting a faint chuckle from me.
It's unfortunate, but it seems the end is near.
As the boy slid backwards across the ground, he hurled his broken sword towards my head, planting his feet into the ground as he began sprinting towards me, but as I repelled his broken sword away with my Aspect, the boy leaped into the air, spinning his body in the midst as he grabbed his weapon and slashed through my left eye before grounding himself.
With my vision fading away from my left eye, the boy capitalized on this advantage as he landed several precise strikes across the vital areas of my body through my blindspot, his astute style of combat reigning superior over my rudimentary actions as I tried to kick the boy away out of irritation in an attempt to gain space, but the boy slipped under my leg and grappled me onto the ground as he placed himself on top of me, stabbing the blade of his broken sword into my right shoulder and twisting it into the ground, pinning me onto the earth.
As I winced in pain, The boy began thrashing my face with his fists, his eyes burning fervently with the sole intention of winning as my own blood splattered across the forest bedding until I placed my unrestricted hand onto the boy's chest and repelled him away from me with the use of my Aspect, sending him tumbling backwards across the ground as I braced myself for removing the boy's broken sword from my shoulder.
Groaning in pain, I eventually freed myself from being pinned, tossing his broken sword aside as I tried to stand from the ground, but despite my intentions, my body sustained far too many injuries as I immediately collapsed onto my knees, my every breath ragged from enervation as a faint puddle of blood began to form under me while I watched the boy walk towards me.
Pathetic.
I provoked the boy into using his full power and yet, all I was able to do in the end was repel him away, but despite my pitiful display of combat, I'm sastified.
As the boy approached, I tried to raise my guard, but my arms dangled lifelessly as I didn't have an ounce of stamina left while my Aspect naturally deactivated, ending my domain in the midst.
"WRATH!" Pride shouted anxiously as all of my senses began to numb while my life flashed before my eyes.
So this is what dying feels like.
What an interesting sensation.
