The cannibals then charged at Atreus, realizing that he was the weak link of the group, before they arrived, they where met with a pillar swinging at them, the ones that where hit died upon impact immediately while their bodies fling across the room, the swin was so strong that the pillar cracked a little, Deimos noticed it, but still swing with his maxed effort, Kratos two, was getting heated, he slashed the cannibals one by one, both of them are focusing on the enemies, while Atreus was just at the back being protected.
Being protected, humiliated, Atreus, thinking himself capable of handling his weight, then proceeded to run straight at the cannibals instead of staying at the back, where he was then captured.
"Father, Deimos, help!" Atreus yelled.
"Atreus!!" both of them yelled at the same time, they were then proceeded to be bombarded with a lot of cannibals, they both killed them easily and fast but its not fast enough, Atreus being forced into the situation, took out his mother's knife and stabbed the cannibal that was holding him, it died and fell into his body, Kratos who finished first run towards Atreus while Deimos was also beginning to get annoyed with the cannibals, so he summon his familiar.
"COME OUT, Fangtoppr, KILL THEM WITHOUT MERCY, I DON'T WANT TO SEE EVEN BONES OF THEM," Deimos said, stopping his killing and letting them die a more painful death than he could've given them.
"Deimos," Atreus said to Deimos, just ashamed of what he caused.
"Are you hurt?" Deimos asked,
"No, I'm fine, it's just I took my first kill, and I'm a little shaken" Atreus said, but Deimos know that he was not a little shaken, his entire demeanor changed, its like his soul was getting eaten by guilt, when Deimos sees this Kratos too naturally.
"Close your heart to it, you did what you had to do, they will never spare you," Kratos said as emphatically as he could.
"Yeah, do not overthink about this, they are enemies, they would not show you mercy and they will only take advantage of your weakness" Deimos then added.
"But, it's still a life that I took," Atreus said
"Think of it like this, if you were held hostage, what do you think Father and I's course of action would be? especially if they threatened you?" Deimos said.
"You would continue?" Atreus said naively.
"NO!, We will stop and do what they told us, what do you think will happen then?"
"You would surrender your weapons and also get killed," Atreus now understood the explanation.
"Would you rather sacrifice our lives in exchange for them?" Deimos asked.
"NO! I would never", Atreus answered.
"Good then, understand that every action has consequences, but also it has its merit, you may have killed someone today, but it also protected you and us from harm" Deimos explained while Kratos just looked at them, with a moment right.
'Not that we can't kill them without our weapons, I didn't even use my teleport in this fight, ' Deimos thought, considering how much he held back in this fight, but decided not to say anything since it was a good lesson for Atreus.
"Are you alright now?" Kratos then asked.
"Yes, I'm alright now," Atreus answered back to his resolve.
While this conversation is happening, Fangtoppr was slaughtering every single one of cannibals, biting them piece by piece, not killing them efficiently but killing them in the most painful way imaginable, one by one they got picked off, while others still breathing, just feeling their strength become weaker and weaker with despair getting stronger.
One of the cannibals at that are hidden well, was getting desperate, he then remembered the creatures they locked, due to their strength and ferocity, he quietly crawl through the spaces and hide from the beast that was slaughtering them, until he reached a latched with a lot of chains and locks, he then proceeded to break the chains one by one, while doing it, the sounds of the clanking was heard by Fangtoppr, he then hunted him down, when bite him, his last swing break the chains he was hitting, then a latched and was heard being opened, it was just shadow.
Fangtoppr feels something was dangerous hiding in the shadows. He was then attacked by a horse with 8 legs. It bites him, but he does not feel anything, then suddenly another 3 came out, they only have 4 normal legs, but the 3 of them combine have almost the same strength as the 8-legged horse, he Fangtoppr was now fighting with 4 beasts.
One beast was responsible for fighting against Fangtoppr head-on; it was the 8 legged one. Fangtoppr attacked with his claws at the 8-legged beast, it tanked the hit where the other 3 just harassed him by building momentum and slamming against him, this cycle of fight just continued.
Meanwhile, Deimos, Atreus, and Kratos were still in the room comforting Atreus when they heard a loud clanking sound. They were just about to dismiss it as Fangtoppr just having his fun with the cannibals but Fangtoppr's growl and roar was heard followed by a deep neigh of a war horse, it was very familiar to Kratos as he has seen warhorse before, also Deimos knows it was the sound of his 8th Labor and investigated the sound, they arrived at a large place, where they saw Fangtoppr, was fighting 4 horses, one specially attracted their attention, it was the grey horse with 8 legs, while the other 3 have black color with normal 4 legs.
Seeing this, Deimos, Kratos and Atreus jumped to their direction, where Deimos grabbed the grey horse and yanked it across the room, Kratos punched one of the black horses with 4 legs, Deimos then swung his pillar to the other horse that was near him, while Atreus just stared at the horse.
