Chapter 27 – The Tyrant's Judgment Echoes Once More
A Kingdom That Trembles
For the second time, King Solis Vermillion had executed nobles—not in secrecy, not behind closed doors, but in full view of the Royal Parliament.
The Clover Kingdom was once again thrown into chaos, as fear and admiration spread among the people.
Those who had doubted his rule before were now certain—this king was unlike any other.
This time, however, the shockwave was even greater.
The first time, they had thought it was just a show of power.
But now?
It was clear.
This was a purge.
Nobles in Panic – The End of an Era?
In the grand estates of the noble houses, fear ran deeper than ever before.
In a secret noble gathering, Duke Grendall, a high-ranking aristocrat, slammed his fists against the table.
"That damn tyrant! He's going to wipe us all out!"
"If we do nothing, the entire noble class will be under his boot!"
Another noble, Marquis Eldrin, wiped sweat from his forehead.
"He's ruthless. He doesn't just imprison—he eradicates."
Some nobles fled, escaping to other kingdoms.
Others plotted in silence, knowing they could no longer oppose him openly.
One thing was certain—Solis Vermillion was a nightmare they could not wake up from.
Commoners' Perspective – The Tyrant Who Protects
Unlike the nobles, the common folk saw things differently.
In the Forsaken Realm, Solis' new police force had begun arresting corrupt tax officials and merchant guild leaders who had exploited the weak for generations.
For the first time in history, the people felt protected.
In the capital's market square, a group of merchants gathered, whispering amongst themselves.
"The new Merchant Association is enforcing fixed prices… finally, no more extortion!"
"That's good for customers… but some merchants are angry."
"Who cares? The kingdom is finally fair for once!"
But even amongst the commoners, there was still fear.
"He's powerful… too powerful."
"What if he starts punishing commoners next?"
"No… King Solis only targets the corrupt. We finally have a ruler who fights for us."
Magic Knights' Meeting – The Kingdom's New Reality
At the Magic Knights' Headquarters, the captains had gathered once again.
The atmosphere was tense.
Fuegoleon spoke first, his face unreadable.
"This is the second time Solis has executed nobles publicly."
"He's not hesitating anymore."
Charlotte's eyes narrowed.
"He rules through fear."
Yami took a long drag from his cigarette and smirked.
"Fear works. You can't deny that."
Jack the Ripper grinned.
"Heh… at this rate, there won't be any corrupt nobles left."
Nozel remained silent for a moment before speaking.
"He's destroying the old system. Whether that's good or bad… depends on the future."
At that moment, the doors opened, and Julius Novachrono walked in.
Julius' Thoughts – The Weight of the Crown
Julius glanced around the room, reading the expressions of each captain.
He had anticipated this.
"Solis is changing the kingdom at an unprecedented speed."
"But the more he pushes, the stronger the resistance will become."
He walked toward the center of the room, his expression unreadable.
"Tell me… what do you all think?"
Silence filled the room.
Then, Fuegoleon spoke.
"He is effective… but he is also making powerful enemies."
"Not just within the kingdom. Other nations are watching. They will see this as a weakness or a threat."
Julius nodded.
"Exactly. If he doesn't tread carefully… he may not live long enough to complete his reforms."
A shadow passed over the Wizard King's face.
"The next assassination attempt… may not fail."
The room fell into deep silence.
Mother's Concern – A Son Who Stands Alone
In the Royal Palace, Queen Lavinia, Solis' mother, sat alone in her chambers.
Her hands trembled as she read the latest reports.
She had lost count of how many times she had asked her son to be careful.
But Solis…
"He walks this path alone… and carries the weight of the entire kingdom on his back."
Tears welled in her eyes as she whispered to herself.
"My son… how much more must you endure?"
