Li saw the whole thing. Young Master Ding talked to a waiter and put something in the drink on his tray, and the waiter walked towards Yan Yuiling.
He thought about intercepting the waiter in case the drink was poisoned, but after using his sharp eyes and experience in alchemy, he deduced that the drink had just a minuscule amount of sleeping medication in it, so he relaxed.
Even normal humans should be able to walk back and go to sleep after getting home, right?
Unsurprisingly, Yan Yuiling drank the drink and became sleepy, but to his surprise, she just fell asleep in a matter of seconds.
Yan Yuiling now lay flat on the table, yet no one recognized it, but Li was still wondering, what is the point of letting her sleep? Surely to take advantage of the situation, young master Ding had to be alone with her, yet his friends always followed him around.
"Hey! Listen to me!!!" Suddenly someone shouted.
"You! You think you are something better than me and ignore me?" Ling Qidong shouted at someone who tried to avoid him.
The other party tried to walk away from this unworthy clown, but Ling Qidong just continued to pester him. "Hey! Don't walk away now!! Are you scared of me? Oh no, this young master is scared? He can't even face me!"
No Ling Qidong had the attention of the whole crowd, and even Ding Feng was left alone after his friends decided to kick this annoyance out.
The perfect opportunity had come as Ding Feng now slowly, without being seen, walked to the sleeping Yan Yuiling and took her towards the elevator.
His destination was his hotel room he booked beforehand. From beginning to end, this was his goal. At first he would have used the business deal to convince Yan Yuiling to become his girlfriend and discipline her in bed.
He believed that once the deed was done, she would have no choice but to stay together with him. Sadly, now that his initial plan had failed, his backup plan took action, but he still believed that Yan Yuiling could only cry once but stay with him afterwards. In the end she would realize how lucky she was and not complain anymore.
"I'm sorry, Yuiling, but sometimes people have to force you to be happy. This is all for your own good," he whispered in her ear as he arrived in front of his room.
Meanwhile, Li, observing everything, even the words Ding Feng said, slowly changed his expression before walking after Ding Feng.
He intended to stop Ding Feng. Not because he drugged a woman and took her to his bed, but because of who the woman was.
She helped him out in this new world and seemed to be the only person that acted without showing off as her top priority. She was worth saving.
Li slowly walked past a security guard and arrived at the party floor, heading towards the elevator Ding Feng just took.
"Hey, leave before you get kicked out!" One of Ding Feng's friends said.
"You think, just because you have slightly richer parents, you can kick me out. Come on, Li, show them who is boss!" Ling Qidong yelled, and luckily, Li was already walking towards him.
"See this? This is my bodyguard Li; if you overstep, I will have him beat your privileged asses!!"
Li, seeing his employer act this way, decided to stop. This was a good opportunity to tell him that he would quit after one last command.
He stood in place while still sensing Ding Feng and whether he would go too far. If he did, he would stop him first, before taking care of this situation.
"Are you serious? One bodyguard is supposed to stop all of these security guards?" One of Ding Feng's friends retorted. How did they invite such a lowlife?
Ling Qidong, before he could ask Li to punch this arrogant guy, suddenly got bumped. Turning around, he saw a rather confused-looking security guard. Luckily this guard didn't make any move towards him.
"Hey, watch your step before I have him beat you up!!!" He yelled, somewhat shocked at how a security guard could get so close to him.
He expected that the guard would try to neutralize him now but was confident in Li's ability after experiencing the boxing gym.
Surprisingly, though, the man, after staring back and forth between him and Li, suddenly ran away at a speed that Ling Qidong hadn't ever seen before and even made Li raise his eyebrows.
After a short shock, though, Ling Qidong could only celebrate, "See these arrogant punks? Even your security guards are afraid of my bodyguard. Now bow down and apologize to me before he beats you up."
Ding Feng's friend, not understanding what was wrong with this security guard, could not take it anymore. He looked at the security guards all around and yelled, "Beat him and his bodyguard up and throw them out into the trash can where they belong!"
"Hahahahaha, you don't know what you are dealing with! Beat all of these young masters up!"
"Sure," Li said, and suddenly every single guest at this party, except Ling Qidong, just fell. From one moment to the next, all of them were knocked out, without any indication of Li doing anything.
The security guard, in panic, stormed towards Li but was knocked out as well. No one but Li knew how it happened, but Ling Qidong was too drunk and angry to care. "Hahahahaha, with him I will rise, with him I will dominate!" he shouted.
Li, meanwhile, looking towards Ding Feng, changed his expression and said, "Mr. Ling Qidong, I will have to inform you that I quit my job with you. From now on I will no longer be your bodyguard." With that said, he suddenly vanished from his spot, giving Ling Qidong no chance to answer.
"Hey, Li!" he shouted. "You can't quit! The contract forbids you from quitting! Come back and serve me now! Hey! Hey?" He could only shout towards the remaining personnel that just hid, witnessing what had happened. Something unexplainable had taken place, but the responsible person was gone, leaving this drunk young master behind.
Ding Feng placed Yan Yuiling on his bed. It was finally time to fulfill his wishes, yet suddenly a knock was heard.
Ding Feng, perplexed by the timing, ignored it and proceeded to undress Yan Yuiling, but before he could, the knocks became louder and louder.
Ding Feng, annoyed by the increasing noise, had no choice but to yell, "Go away and don't come back; I'm busy!" Yet as he turned to Yan Yuiling once more, the door suddenly broke open, and Li came inside.
"What?" Ling Qidong mumbled in disbelief. These doors were not supposed to break, even if one of his personal guards tried. "Hey, how did you get in? Get away now!" He yelled.
"Could you please leave, young master Ding?" Li asked in a polite tone.
"No!! Guards come in now!" Ding Feng shouted. His personal bodyguards should be stationed in the next-door rooms. Weirdly enough, even after a full minute, nobody came.
"Will you leave now?" Li asked once more.
"No, I won't. Now leave or I will destroy your insignificant life!" Ding Feng ordered. Someone unknown wouldn't stop him. Influence was everything, so a little strength wouldn't matter.
*Slap* A crisp sound of a slap reverberated through the room as Ding Feng flew towards the wardrobe of the room.
Crashing into it, he got up slowly, holding his swollen cheek. "Will you leave now?" Li asked.
"I will destroy you!" *Slap* "I will kill," *Slap* "My father," *Slap* "Why?" *Slap*.
"Understood?" Li asked.
Ding Feng, not used to pain, was in tears from a mix of stinging pain, anger, and humiliation, yet dared not to say another word. He would have to go back to his father to ask for revenge.
Without saying a word, he left the room and the hotel without returning to his birthday party. With his swollen cheeks, he would rather die than be seen by everyone.
While Ding Feng's punishment was minor, it would only cause trouble for Yan Yuiling if Ding Feng died; also, Li would not kill people lightly.
Meanwhile, Li looked at the sleeping Yan Yuiling and considered what to do with her. He couldn't just leave her here, as the people enforcing laws would probably come shortly, so he decided to take her home.
He took her over his back and flew home at a speed that wouldn't impact her, yet fast enough to arrive quickly. Then he just laid her out on the bed.
After a bit of thought, he decided to wait outside and let her wake up by herself. After all, having him stare at her while she woke up would panic her even more than she already will be.
"And then I waited outside of the door until you woke up and came inside," Li said to Yan Yuiling, who had her mouth wide open.
"You... you flew me to your home? Do you think anyone would believe this story?"
