A few minutes later, as Silva left Lucius on the phone, talking.
"Now swapping them both will be difficult, not when Branden specifically chose June."
"I see. Then what is your next plan?" a cold tone said.
"Son, I can only do one thing, and that's...******* ** ***!" Lucius' tone darkened, and so did his gaze.
"Yes father."
With that, he hung up and punched the wall in anger. "That damn hag!"
"Hey, you!" he commanded. "Get my ride ready for Brando's house."
Meanwhile, June, in her room, was angry as the proposal wasn't from Michael.
"Then who could it be?" June thought, standing up in frustration as their father was angry about the proposal.
Just then, her door was knocked.
"Who now?" she thought, annoyed. Opening the door, she saw a familiar face.
"When did you get back?"
"After hearing about the disaster at your birthday, I couldn't help but drop by," he responded with a smile. "Besides, my two dear sisters are beloved to me, you know."
"Is this some kind of joke?" June said coldly.
"A joke? Why would I joke around with my beloved sister?"
June ignored him and was ready to close her door.
"Don't get your hopes up, you damn illegitimate dog!" she thought.
But to her surprise, Asher held the door halfway open.
"Come on, June. You're my favorite, you know."
Asher smirked with his charismatic persona.
"As usual, you know how to get on my nerves," she hissed coldly into his ear.
"Oh, really?" Asher teased with a discreet smile.
"Absolutely!" June said in a cold tone, clearly annoyed.
"Well, isn't it quite impressive how Silva was able to land her charm on Christian Brando?" Asher dropped the comment intentionally.
Asher smirked, noticing June's slight shock.
"How intriguing," Asher thought, perfectly maintaining his charismatic expression.
"Acting perfectly as a loyal, impending wife to Branden..."
"But then thrown off course by Christian's marriage proposal to Silva?"
"How did I not see this coming?" he mocked internally, though he had seen it coming.
"Never knew my dear sister Silva's beauty would land Christian as well," Asher chuckled.
Studying June, he couldn't help but smirk discreetly.
"How shocking, don't you think?" he added.
Meanwhile, June faintly smiled, aware that Asher was pushing her buttons.
"Indeed, truly shocking. After all, we all know she belongs on the street, right?" June whispered into his ear, smirking.
"But Christian of all people? Quite disappointed that my soon-to-be brother-in-law has such wacky taste in women."
"I won't say that, my dear June," Asher began, speaking beside her ear.
"Rather, it was more like Elaine chose her for Christian... instead of you!"
June's eyes widened in shock.
Asher, reading her expression, smiled characteristically.
"You guessed it. You were probably meant to marry Christian, but I guess she decided you're better off with Branden."
"Shut it!"
June snapped coldly.
"Hey, I'm just giving you the information I got. After all, wouldn't it be bad to keep it hidden from my dear, beloved sister?"
Asher said with a characteristic smirk.
"Asher, thanks for the information, but I'd rather not get involved with this."
June smiled faintly.
"Suit yourself, my dear. But remember, I'm here if you need a secret alliance."
Asher said before walking out.
"It's futile trying to escape me, my dear beloved pawn!"
Asher thought, smirking diabolically, confident that June would certainly come to him for a secret alliance sooner or later.
A few hours later, Lucius, returning from his meeting with Elaine, summoned Silva to be brought out. He roared in anger, causing Gabby, Gina, and June to come out as well.
Seeing Silva being dragged out in chains like a prisoner, June couldn't help but smile.
"Finally, my house imprisonment plan has hit a jackpot!"
June thought, smiling diabolically behind her mother. "Let's see how she gets married to Christian on my watch!"
She added.
"Silva, you only have one option for your survival."
Lucius grabbed Silva by the neck.
"Reject that proposal. Understood?"
Silva struggled to breathe, terrified, as she had never seen Lucius this angry before.
"Lucius, calm down!"
Gabby began, grabbing Lucius's hand to stop him from choking Silva to death.
"Please let her go. How will she reject the proposal if you leave her corpse here?!"
"Like I give a damn!"
Lucius shook off his mother, pushing her aside.
"All I need is that damn rejection from her damn mouth!"
Lucius said angrily, shoving Silva away.
The force of the push caused her head to slam against the wall, and she dropped, hitting her head on the floor.
Silva's vision blurred as she looked at everyone around her.
"I'll never reject that!"
With that thought, she fell unconscious.
"Get the doctor!"
Lucius roared.
The guards immediately responded to his call.
"I can't let her leave this world like that. Not without rejecting that damn proposal!"
Lucius muttered, walking angrily upstairs.
Gabby and Gina followed Lucius upstairs as Silva was dragged away like a bloody corpse.
Meanwhile June watched everything with a smirk, only to be interrupted by Asher.
"So, is that a yes?"
Asher whispered into her ear, referring to their earlier conversation about a secret alliance.
"Am in."
June smiled widened, spreading her palm as if to seal the deal.
"As long as you keep your promise!"
She added, referring to the private agreement they made.
"50/50 of share, right?"
June whispered in his ear.
"Of course, why not?"
Asher replied with a smirk.
"Once I ascend his position, with all those obstacles out the way. I might compensate you even more than that."
"Alright then, you better don't betray."
June whispered with slick smile.
"And why would I do such? When you're my only ally.
Asher smirks.
Few minutes later, As Silva's treatment was pending, Gabby sat down with Lucius to calm him down, speaking to him about his extreme anger. The doctor was granted permission to enter, but what she said took the two by surprise.
"Pregnant?"
Gabby gasped in shock.
