Chapter 23 - The pregnancy scheme

The next morning, Silva was on the phone with Christian, discussing what had happened the previous night with Christiana.

"Just as I suspected," Silva thought coldly.

"Despite his teasing tone, there was an underlying seriousness she couldn't ignore." She sighed, gazing out the window.

"I know it's just brotherly protection, but if that's the case, I propose you separate us. I can't live in the same space as her," Silva said, her tone firm.

"Then why not buy me my own villa instead?" Silva smirked cunningly. "I'm sure it's easy for you."

"In fact, if it's just an apartment for the meantime before you get me my own villa, I'm perfectly fine with that!" she concluded, her voice laced with determination.

"Almost as if my plan to get my own place was meant to happen," she thought, satisfied with how smoothly things were going.

Meanwhile, Christian faintly smirked on the other end of the line.

"You seem awfully eager to get your own place, Silva," he remarked.

"I guess you could say I'm unable to live with your sister. From her attitude on the first day, I realized we definitely can't coexist," Silva replied smoothly.

"Alright, fine. Have it your way, then," Christian said. "Once I get back, I'll make sure you have your own villa."

With that, Christian hung up, leaving Silva with a victorious smile.

"Trying to escape my watchful eyes and ears, huh?" Christian thought, smirking.

"Well, your soon-to-be new villa won't be free from my watchful gaze either, my dear Silva."

His face turned cold, his expression darkening.

"After all, I need to keep track of where you're flying off to, in case you exceed your boundaries. I'll be ready to clip those wings." He added, watching a bird soar through the sky.

Meanwhile, as Silva descended the stairs, she felt a wave of irritation upon seeing Michael seated in the living room.

"Of course, he'd be here," Silva thought, narrowing her eyes as she noticed Christiana seated across from Michael, chatting away.

"Oh, sister-in-law, your baby daddy is here to see you," Christiana mocked with a smirk.

"She doesn't learn, does she?" Silva thought, pausing midway down the stairs.

"And of course, he'd be here," Silva thought, narrowing her eyes as she noticed Christiana seated across from Michael, chatting away.

"I have nothing to do with him," Silva said coldly.

"Besides, I'm sure if your brother ever saw a man inside his villa without his permission, that would be a problem, right?" Silva glared menacingly at Christiana.

Christiana's gaze darkened in anger.

"Well, I'm not the one who gives your lover permission to be here."

"And who do you think he'll believe?" Christiana smirked icily.

Just then, Michael's tone cut in as he stood up.

"Silva, I'm still waiting for confirmation on your side, but judging by what I'm hearing, it seems you're already convinced, right?"

"Seems like we're both playing games here," Silva thought, a smile creeping onto her face.

"So, why not entertain this a bit?" She began descending the stairs, her steps deliberate and poised.

"Indeed," Silva responded with a smile.

"If it weren't for the fact that Christian wants me to act like I'm still pregnant until the actual pregnancy happens between this year and next, this creep wouldn't even be anywhere near me right now!" Silva stood face to face with Michael.

"But you see, Michael, there's no way I can continue to stay with someone like you!" Silva said coldly.

"I see. Then, why not go to court?" "After all, I need my child in my possession," Michael said with a friendly smile.

" As a protective man, I can't allow my child to be in the hands of another man!"

"This fool really took this route?" Silva thought, smirking.

"Please rest assured, Michael, Christian has no interest in your child," Silva said while studying Christiana's reaction.

"Nor do I. So save the court drama for something more important!"

Meanwhile, Silva noticed when she mentioned that Christian wasn't interested in the child, Christiana paused in her steps and immediately turned to look at her and Michael.

"Oh? So Christian's request for a child seems to be more important than I imagined!" Silva smiled analytically.

"Then again, that makes sense. A man like him doesn't move without a purpose behind it."
