Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 A nature's made wand.

Chapter 6

As soon as the vault opened, a pile of shiny Galleons appeared on the ground in front of him, and various items of unclear purpose were placed on the surrounding shelves.

Regulus turned to glance at the goblin beside him, and Kreacher immediately stepped forward to pull him away from the vault.

Goblin greed is notorious, even more so than that of a certain kind of people in the Muggle world; their desire for money knows no bounds.

With the goblin's line of sight blocked, Regulus could finally observe his vault in peace.

In addition to the money, there were many magical items, including various documents and ancient books.

After a thorough inspection, Regulus did not take any items; he felt secure leaving the contents of the vault as they were and only took a few hundred Galleons when he left.

Although there was still a key to the Black family vault, Regulus Black did not plan to use it at the moment.

After leaving Gringotts, Regulus Black took Kreacher to Ollivander's Wand Shop, where he needed to buy a new wand for himself.

What kind of wand would it be? He was really looking forward to it!

Ollivander's Wand Shop was a crowded, narrow, and dilapidated little shop. In front of the window, a wand was displayed on a faded purple cushion. The shelves that reached the ceiling were crammed with thousands of wands in long, narrow boxes.

Mr. Ollivander would choose from among them to find a wand that matched each customer. Customers purchasing wands first had to measure the length of their wand arm, forearm, height, and head circumference, and then select a wand based on these parameters.

In fact, these measurements were unnecessary; they were the shopkeeper Ollivander's quirky preferences, a personal enjoyment.

Each wand is different because they use different unicorn hairs, phoenix tail feathers, and dragon or snake heartsrings as cores, and are made from various quality woods; these materials are all powerful magical items.

Every wizard is suited to different wands, and if you use a wand that belongs to another wizard, you won't achieve the desired effect.

Of course, this is all a lie; it can only be said that a suitable wand will be more helpful for novice wizards.

"Is anyone here?"

Regulus had already stood for a while after pushing the door open, but the shopkeeper Ollivander was still nowhere to be seen.

Could it be that with the new students at Hogwarts now in school, there were no more children for him to lay out his long winded speach, so he had become lazy?

After a while, Regulus decided to find a wand himself.

With a sweep of his hands, a wave of magical energy swept across the entire shop, causing thousands of boxes to tremble simultaneously, and then a box in a remote corner jumped out; it was the wand that resonated most with Regulus Black's magic.

Inside the black box lay a crystal wand; he never expected that a shop usually using wood as the main material for wands would have a crystal wand.

"This is a natural wand, sadly not something that I can make," the elusive shopkeeper Ollivander appeared beside Regulus, seemingly sensing the customer's confusion, and began to explain in a soft voice.

"It is said that a unicorn was attacked by a basilisk; although it ultimately escaped the fate of being captured, it still died from the basilisk's venom. At the moment of its death, this unicorn forced all the venom into its crystal horn."

Regulus slightly rotated the wand and indeed discovered purple flowing veins inside, along with a vascular effect.

Ollivander looked at the wand with a confused yet fascinated expression; this was a natural wand that he could not create.

"The unicorn broke off its crystal horn just to die without any toxins left in its body."

After returning to his counter, Ollivander's expression normalized a bit, revealing the shrewdness of a merchant.

"15 Galleons."

Regulus disdainfully wiped a thick layer of dust off the box with his finger.

"This wand has clearly been sitting here unsold for a long time, and its material is uncertain; I don't even know if it's usable. 7 Galleons, and I'll buy a suitable wand; for 15 Galleons, throw in a maintenance tool."

"Alright! You are a seasoned guest, so let me help you choose a wand!"

In fact, the wands in Ollivander's shop, regardless of their materials, are all priced at 7 Galleons, fair and square.

The initial price was merely to generate more business; after all, once a wizard buys a wand, if it doesn't break, they use it for life, so this business is really quite rare.

If it were back-to-school season, Ollivander wouldn't dare to promote so aggressively; every wizard must have a wand, as mandated by the Ministry of Magic, which is also why breaking a wand is a serious offense.

However, in reality, Ollivander wouldn't mind selling a few extra wands, especially this crystal wand. Whether it can be used well by the customer is questionable, so selling an additional wand would save him from potential complaints later.

"I'll choose for myself!"

Regulus Black extended his hand again to sense the magic among hundreds of wands, and then another box automatically jumped out.

Ollivander cheerfully took down the white box, wondering what kind of wand this customer would buy today!

"This wand is also 13 inches long, the core is made from the tail hair of that unicorn as well, all the hair has been filled in, making it very suitable for summoning."

Regulus Black caressed the wand, the slender tailbone polished to smoothness, woven together with hair, the white bone and silver hair combined to create this peculiar wand, yet it also gave off an elegant feel.

"I'll take this one too. Have you ever made a wand from the remains of that dead unicorn?"

Regulus Black decided to name these two wands for easier future use.

The crystal one would be called "Crimson Blood," and the white bone one would be called "Silver Bone."

"Let me think, I believe there are some. I remember after acquiring that unicorn, I used its heart string and spinal nerve."

"Really? So there are at least two more wands made from the same material?"

"I think so. Would you like to buy them all?"

"Each wand is 7 Galleons, so I'll give you 30 Galleons, and you can provide the corresponding maintenance."

The price Regulus proposed was reasonable, and he was quite eager to obtain the other two wands.

"I certainly won't refuse your generous patronage, but you need to prove that you have a high affinity with those two wands."

What Ollivander meant was for Regulus to continue sensing the magic and find those two wands in the shop.

Continuing to reach out and sense the magic, after a tremor, two boxes jumped out.

Ollivander opened another box and picked up the wand. Regulus Black directly handed over 30 Galleons, collecting the four wands along with the corresponding maintenance kits.

These two wands were named "Wine Spring" and "Corpse Curse."

Today's outing, purchasing four compatible wands, especially those made from the same material, could be considered extremely lucky.

Now it was time to wrap things up. so Regulus took out the wand he brought from his family, "Obliviate!"
