Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 A Visit to the Gringotts

Chapter 5

[Control Skeleton], [Control Puppet], [Control Soul]; the first two merely passively enhance the attributes of summoned creatures and improve control, while the latter passively enhances the various resistances of the summoned creatures and also improves the quality of their souls. Therefore, the skeletons and skeleton mages summoned by Regulus were not lacking in intelligence; they can understand the summoner's intentions and are capable of both offense and defense.

Currently, the situation is that [Summon Skeleton] is at 7/7 and [Summon Undead] is at 7/7, both skills are fully leveled up.

Regulus looked at the blood and flesh scattered all over the ground, pondering how to deal with these remnants.

As a former gaming enthusiast, Regulus Black quickly analyzed those game settings in his mind.

The most suitable option, of course, is the grotesque and repulsive stitched monster with three arms.

Although he could tolerate skeletons swaying in front of him, a pile of rotten flesh… let's skip that!

However, from his skill tree, the [Blood Familiar] seemed to fit the requirements quite well. For the appearance, he decided to use the character Zac from the game League of Legends; originally, Zac was green and purple, but now it was just a blood-red version.

This skill was originally designed to share life with the summoner, but was modified to use blood as a medium. Regulus Black took out a dagger and gently sliced his finger, letting a few drops of blood fall into the pile of corpses.

"Come forth! My Blood Familiar."

The few drops of blood merged like lava, assimilating and decomposing all the meat chunks into a basic liquid state.

The bloody chunks melted like ice, the white, red, and even the hair melted into a liquid mixture.

It was as if the paint on a palette, after being stirred, left only a transparent blood-red color.

"Ha ha ha ha… Zac Zac! Ha ha ha ha…"

The newly born [Blood Familiar] stood over 3 meters tall, but could only call its own name and kept chuckling foolishly, clearly a dim-witted creature. However, it was fine; the skill had a feature that could enhance the intelligence of summoned creatures, [Control Soul], which could improve intelligence.

He added Zac to his skill tree, and the display for [Blood Familiar] showed 1/1. It was known that in the game, the puppet series could only summon one, but now that he had crossed over, Regulus Black naturally hoped for as many as possible, even if capped at seven! However, it seemed that this was unlikely.

'So tired! Whether mentally or physically, I feel so exhausted.'

Regulus then remembered that he should take a good rest.

Tonight, the little punks at Hogwarts, after experiencing the opening ceremony, lay in their respective beds with excited spirits.

In the dead of night, a tall figure stood in front of the old house at number 12 Grimmauld Place, his expression conflicted, one of his fake eyeballs restlessly rotating. He was uncertain about who occupied this place, but since the other party hadn't done anything out of line yet, this matter needed to be handled discreetly for now.

Perhaps he should discuss it with Dumbledore first. Mad-Eye Moody leaned on his cane and left, glancing back from time to time.

At dawn, Regulus Black carefully groomed himself and took Kreacher out.

On the second day of school, the streets of Diagon Alley were much quieter; the noisy little wizards were nowhere to be seen, and in every shop, there were only some adult wizards shopping.

"The Leaky Cauldron! It's been a long time since I've been here."

Regulus sighed in front of the shop door, which Muggles were oblivious to.

Upon entering, there were only a few scattered customers in the bar, some of whom were long-term residents living upstairs. Didn't they know that the bar's guest rooms should actually be hourly rooms? Regulus complained with Muggle logic as he walked towards the backyard courtyard.

Taking out a wand, he pointed it at several fixed spots on the surrounding wall a few times, and he arrived at Diagon Alley.

The wand in his hand was a leftover from the Black family; he didn't know whose relic it was, but he was just borrowing it for now.

Another purpose of coming to Diagon Alley was to buy another wand. Although Regulus didn't need a wand to use system skills now, general magic still required a wand.

It seemed that training for wandless magic needed to be prioritized.

Ollivander's Wand Shop was a must-visit, but for now, it would be better to go to Gringotts to withdraw some money first.

Gringotts Wizarding Bank is a towering white building located at the junction of Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley.

Gringotts is known as the second safest place in the world after Hogwarts, so wizards were willing to entrust their gold and treasures to Gringotts.

Gringotts is operated by a group of goblins, and these goblins stipulate that only they can lead the mine carts that spiral down to the vaults, and only goblins can open the vaults to retrieve stored property.

They always have their own ways to prevent intruders and have their own rules to mutually restrain each other from leaking the bank's secrets.

Regulus crossed through the outward-opening, glittering bronze doors, where a goblin guard in a scarlet and gold uniform stood and bowed as he passed by.

The second door, which opened inward, was silver, engraved with warnings from the goblins to thieves.

Passing through the second silver door into a spacious marble hall, about a hundred goblins sat behind a long counter recording in large ledgers, some weighing coins on scales, while others inspected gems with magnifying glasses.

Regulus walked all the way to the back, where there was a counter specifically for opening vaults for VIPs.

"I need to access my private vault." Regulus handed over a metal key, which he had found in the old house; in fact, each family member had their own vault.

Once, the family's business had been thriving, and each family member received a substantial coming-of-age gift upon reaching adulthood.

But now, these businesses had either disappeared, been confiscated by the Ministry of Magic, or been taken over by distant relatives.

"May I have your name?"

"Regulus Black."

"Please come this way, sir."

The guiding goblin quickly confirmed the key and the user, and then the group boarded a cart that rivaled a roller coaster.

After a series of sudden ups and downs and continuous twists and turns, in fact, not many people could retain their sense of direction.

However, Regulus knew clearly that he was below one hundred meters underground, and this vault was clearly transformed from over-extracted mineral veins.

Each vault door was custom-made, with completely different methods of opening and locking. Without the magic of the fairies and matching keys, even the fairies themselves could not open these vaults.

Regulus knew that almost half of the vaults here were ownerless.

After all, the previous two generations of Dark Lords had wiped out many wizarding families, even entire Families, which was a fact.

So, this was a true treasure trove. Although many wizarding families would not store all their wealth here, the total amount was still enormous.

As for how to acquire it, Regulus Black was not in a hurry; he had to wait for the right moment. It must be said that the wizards in the wizarding world were truly law-abiding citizens. It was rare for a Dark Lord to emerge, and the wizarding world was in chaos because of it.
