Bell rushed to the school bathroom and shut the door.
He went in front of the mirror and pulled down his scarf, revealing six bite marks on his neck.
Bell hadn't dared to look at his neck all morning, but he hadn't expected the damage to be so severe.
He wrapped his hands around the bite marks, trying to hide them.
Bell's sensitive ears picked up the sound of the young hybrid lingering outside the bathroom.
Was Kit there to protect my vulnerable neck from their vampire classmates, or worried about being discovered for last night incident?
Did Kit suspect I wasn't a beta werewolf?
Bell rolled his eyes, wishing for privacy. He slid down onto the floor, waiting for Kit to leave.
He reassessed his condition, relieved to find he hadn't turned. But that left the issue of the imprint.
"Kit, there you are. Are the bathroom stalls full?" Charn voice rang out.
"Yep," Kit replied simply.
Bell tilted his head.
"Huh, what's the matter?" Charn asked.
Kit voice dropped to a whisper, but Bell could still hear it. "No one told me Fon is stepping down soon for someone we barely know."
"Well, Bell's the one who requested a private ceremony, dunno know why tho, maybe he had stronger beta urges of taking over than the other beta's." Charn replied.
"I'm gonna see if the downstairs bathroom is free."Charn left.
"Wait up!." Kit's voice called out as he walked away to catch up.
The footsteps finally receded, and Bell cautiously opened the door.
