Chapter 9

Under the guidance of Louis, manon had just opened the door when she felt a body press against her back. Louis held her waist with one hand and leaned against her, rubbing his head against her neck.

"Can't we sleep a little longer?" Manon back stiffened as she tried to maintain a calm expression, pretending that this was a normal occurrence. The butler stood at the door, struggling to keep his composure as he watched his young master's unusual behavior.

After a moment, he spoke up. "Do you and the young madam need to have your meal now?"Hmm." With that, Louis hugged Manon's waist and slammed the door shut with a loud bang. As soon as the door was closed, Louis let go of Manon .

He looked down at the girl in front of him and said, "Sorry for dragging you into this act again." Manon quickly blinked her eyes and replied, "It's okay. It's what partners do." She then sat down on the bed and started playing with her phone.

Louis stood still and looked at her deeply before turning around and walking into the bathroom. Meanwhile, the butler hurried to the room of grandfather and told him everything that had just happened. After hearing the butler's report, grandfather finally relaxed and smiled.

"Accompany me to the ancestral temple to burn incense for our ancestors, and hopefully we can hold our great-grandchild soon!" At the mention of a great-grandchild, grandfather's face turned red with excitement.

Manon and Louis had no idea about what happened with Old Master . When they went downstairs, Old Master was already sitting at the dining table with a gentle smile on his face, inviting Manon to take a seat. "Come on, my dear, the chef has prepared some nourishing dishes for you.

You should eat more," he said, squinting his eyes as he looked at Manon. "You are too thin. Here, have some soup." Louis walked over and sat next to Manon, raising his eyebrows but saying nothing. Manon felt a bit awkward seeing Old Master , still thinking about what happened last night. However, she obediently drank the soup.

Old Master nodded in satisfaction and also served a bowl of soup to Louis.. "You should drink some too. It's good for your health." Manon's hand paused as she heard this. She suddenly felt that the soup in her hand was a bit strange... "Grandpa, let me have breakfast with you," Mia walked over and greeted Old Master obediently.

As people grow older, they tend to want their children and grandchildren to be around them, and Old Master was no exception. Today, he was in a good mood and immediately smiled when he heard Mia's words. "Come, come, sit down and get another pair of chopsticks for Louis." However, Louis and Manon seemed to ignore Mia's presence.

Manon's eyes were full of playfulness. She was curious about what Mia would do next. The incident last night had left her feeling drained, and shewas hoping for some excitement. Mia sat obediently in her chair, taking the public chopsticks and smiling at Old Master .

"I had something to eat at home, so I'm not hungry yet. I'll just help you guys with the dishes." She spoke as she picked up a dumpling with her chopsticks and placed it directly into Louis's bowl. However, a pair of chopsticks followed closely behind her. Manon withdrew her chopsticks and pouted coquettishly, "Husband~ I don't really like this one."

Louis glanced at her and looked down at his own bowl, where there was a piece of cucumber that had been bitten into. Mia naturally saw it too, and couldn't help but sneer inwardly, but on the surface, she had a kind and understanding expression. "Manon sister probably doesn't know, but cousin has a germaphobia and never eats anything that has been eaten by others or picked up with personal chopsticks."

Manon found it amusing and gave Louis a wink, looking surprised as she glanced at Mia, "Really?" "When..." Mia's's words were cut off as she watched Louis expressionlessly eat the cucumber. She forced a smile, "Cousin... doesn't have a germaphobia anymore?" Manon looked at Mia with suspicion,

"He did mention it to me before, but when I said I wouldn't feed him anymore, he said it was okay." At this, Mia's hand holding the chopsticks tightened, and she forced a smile, "Cousin is really good to sister." Manon rolled her eyes inwardly. This woman is really stubborn.

But... A mischievous glint flashed in Manon's eyes. The more she persisted, the more interesting it became, right? "Yes, Louis is really good to me," she said, her lips slightly curled as she picked up more food and placed it in Huo Jingheng's bowl, "Husband, I just tried this one and it tastes pretty good." Louis looked at the smile in her eyes and heard the artificial tone in her voice.

He put on a smile on his face. She served all the dishes she had picked for him, and he ate them all. Mia looked at the smile on his face, and the other hand hidden under the table was almost tearing the cushion of the chair.Suddenly, her eyes focused on the food on Manon's chopsticks.

As she watched the food fall into Louis bowl, her voice suddenly rose. "Sister Manon , you and Cousin are married, don't you know he doesn't like onions?" Manon raised an eyebrow and looked at Mia in confusion. "I've been wondering since earlier, it seems like you've been trying to stop me from serving my husband. Are you trying to prevent him from eating or are you targeting me?" Mia choked and glanced at grandpa, whose smile had gradually faded. She then smiled and slowly spoke, "I'm just stating the facts. Cousin has always hated onions since he was a child.

I'm just curious, since you like him, how could you not know?" The old man sat in his chair and didn't say a word throughout the whole conversation. He knew his grandson very well, and he never ate onions.

Seeing the old man's silence, Mia felt smug and muttered, "Sister Manon doesn't really understand Cousin , yet she still claims to like him."

As soon as she finished speaking, the old man expression immediately darkened, clearly affected by Mia's's words.Manon looked at the change in the old man's expression and knew that Louis really didn't like onions. But so what?
