As soon as she finished speaking, there was a busy tone on the phone. Manon was stunned for a moment. Was she hung up on?
Manon tightly held her phone, her eyelashes trembling slightly, her body shaking slightly, and suddenly remembered what Louis had said when he left.
"When I'm not around, be vigilant. Their methods are only dirtier than you can imagine. If you can't solve it, call me or go to the house and find my assistant."
Ha...
She was really foolish.They were just business partners, and he was only treating her like that because he had to put on a show. What was she thinking?
Manon smiled self-deprecatingly, picked up her phone, got up and walked out. It seemed that she had to go and meet Adrian by herself. The convertible sports car was parked at the door of the door of Adrian's house . Manon got out of the car quickly, walked to the door, and was about to ring the doorbell when she found that the door had already been opened.
Manon eyes sank, and she stood at the door for a while before walking in.

"Where's the seal?" Manon didn't go in. She stood at the entrance and reached out her hand to Adrian's, her face cold.
Adrian's eyes flickered, and he walked to her 's side with a smile, "I'll give you the seal later. Come in and sit down first."
After speaking, he reached out to pull Manon.
Manon eyes turned cold, and she deftly avoided his hand.
She sniffed and immediately smelled the alcohol on him, and took two steps back silently.
"I don't think we need to chat anymore. Just give me the seal and we can cut off all contact," Manon said calmly.
Adrian's eyes flashed with a hint of gloom, and he put on a pained expression. "Manon, you have to believe me. I do like you, but at that time, I was just a powerless young boy . I couldn't do anything."
Manon remained unbothered and watched his performance for a while before she couldn't help but sneer. "And then? What does that have to do with me?"
"Mankn , I know that you married Louis out of necessity, but now I have the power to protect you," Adrian said, his eyes burning as he stared at her . He even raised his hands and tightly grasped her shoulders.
Manon frowned and pushed his hands away coldly. "Mr. Adrian, where is the seal?"
"At a certain hotel," Adrian replied.
Louis had just finished showering and walked out of the bathroom when he saw his phone light up. He grabbed a towel and absentmindedly dried his hair before picking up the phone and seeing a message from his assistant.
--Madan has left in her car. Louis eyes darkened, and he threw the towel aside and immediately called his assistant. "Find out what's going on and send someone to follow her."
The assistant quickly agreed and gave orders to his subordinates.
Louis hung up the phone and paced around the room in annoyance. How could she be so reckless? Did she really think she was invincible, going out alone at night like this?
"I really owe you one..."
Louis sighed and quickly changed his clothes before grabbing his car keys and leaving the room. He rushed back home overnight and upon opening the door, he found that Manon had not returned yet. His expression darkened even further. Just then, his assistant,opened the phone and said, "boss , Madam went to Adrian's house "
"I see," Louis hung up the phone, his eyes showing a hint of unnoticed gloom.
Adrian?
The same guy she was previously engaged to?
He pursed his lips ,got into his car and started the car engine.

Adrian's house
"Manon, what Louis can give you, I can give you now too!"Adrian held onto manon's wrist with a determined look in his eyes.
Manon couldn't dodge in time and was caught by him. She frowned and forcefully shook him off, her face turning cold. "Mr. Adrian, please behave yourself. I'm only here to retrieve my mother's seal and have no other intentions."
"Behave myself? It's always behave myself!" It seemed that the word "behave" had touched a nerve as Adrian suddenly exploded in anger. "I only like you, what's wrong with that?!"
He paused for a moment before looking at her with deep affection. "Manon, I will treat you well."Manon whole body shuddered with goosebumps as she looked down at him and sneered, "Like me?"
"Is Mr. Adrian's idea of liking someone to watch them be sent away to the countryside?" She paused for a second before continuing, "Mr. Adrian, I don't need you to treat me well. All I need now is my mother's seal."
Manon looked at him coldly, her eyes full of undisguised mockery. "And, you seems to have forgotten that you are already engaged to Megan ."
"Didn't you see that I'm married?" Manon showed him the diamond ring on her ring finger and looked at him calmly. "For me, your behavior right now is no different from harassment."
It seemed that Manon words had touched a nerve, as Adrian's face instantly filled with anger.
"You are my fiancée! Why! Why did Louis take you away?" he exclaimed.
At this, Manon couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at? Don't you dare laugh!" Adrian's face stiffened as he shouted at her in anger.
Manon's eyes curved as she looked at him, her smile full of sarcasm."I'm laughing at how you and Megan are not family and don't belong under the same roof. Both of you are equally selfish, thinking that the whole world should revolve around you..." She paused and continued, "Adrian, don't forget that you agreed to the engagement with Megan yourself. What, do you want to back out now? Or do you want to have your cake and eat it too, wanting both of us?"
Her eyes were full of mockery, and when Adrian's gaze met hers, he quickly turned his head, unable to meet her eyes.
"It seems that you don't have the seal I'm looking for. In that case, I'll leave first. Contact me when you have concrete information," Manon said coldly,turning to leave. However, her shoulder was suddenly grabbed by someone.
"Is there something else, Mr. Adrian?" she asked, turning her head to look at him with cold eyes.
"Manon , you're still too naive," the man's low, hoarse voice came from behind her. Manon heart sank, feeling that something was not right. She was about to shake off his hand, but he seemed to have anticipated her move and tightened his grip.
"Baby , don't be afraid of me. I will treat you well. I really like you, and I can help you take back the power of the Anderson family," he said, pulling Manon into the house.
The scent of her hair in made his heart race, and he lowered his head to smell it. He tightened his grip on her hand and pulled her into the house.
"Adrian, let go of me!" Manon panicked, her mind going blank for a moment. She was pulled a few steps before she reacted, and then she lifted her foot and stomped hard on Adrian's foot with her eight-centimeter high heels.
"Ah!" Adrian let out a painful roar and released her .
Manon hurriedly ran out of his arms and was about to leave when she saw Louis walking towards her!
"Louis?!" Manon was alittle confused.
Wasn't this man still in the land of tenderness? How did he come over?
Louis looked at her with a black face. When he saw Adrian catching up with her from behind, his eyes became gloomy. He took a few steps forward, passed Manon, and kicked him with one foot. Then he turned around, pulled Manon and walked away.
Manon didn't have time to speak and was pulled into the passenger seat. When she came to her senses and saw his cold face, she didn't know what to say and just turned her head to look out the window without saying a word.
