Chapter 28
Bentley parked in front of the shopping mall in the city center. Holding Manon's hand, Louis felt satisfied with the softness of her palm. They walked through the crowd and stood at the entrance of the formal dress shop. Manon's eyes flashed with a hint of surprise. Could it be such a coincidence?!
Louis noticed her discomfort, but he didn't say anything. He led her straight into the shop and said to the receptionist, "Hello, I'm looking for Ray."
The receptionist recognized Louis and couldn't help but take a few more glances at Manon before leading them to the VIP reception room. Manon noticed the receptionist's gaze and subconsciously wanted to distance herself from Louis, but he deliberately increased his strength and kept her close to him.
"You!" Manon was a little angry.
Louis leaned over to her ear and said in a warm voice, "This is also part of the agreement."
Looking at his triumphant smile, Manon was speechless. But after all, she was a girl and was at a disadvantage in strength. Thinking that he would eventually let go of her later, she simply turned her head and ignored him.
After sitting down in the VIP reception room for a while, someone brought two cups of tea. Ray then walked in, relaxed and jokingly said, "Louis, you've been looking for me quite frequently lately..."
It wasn't until he saw Manon next to Louis that he couldn't hide his excitement. He rushed over and grabbed her wrist.
"Manon, why are you here? Did you come with Louis?" Ray was both surprised and happy, but when he saw their hands clasped together, he had some guesses in his mind. "Could it be that the dress you asked me to make last time was for him?"
Manon couldn't handle this string of questions and could only maintain an awkward smile. Louis pulled her behind him and reminded Ray, "We're here to have you customize our wedding dress."
Ray was taken aback and looked at the two of them again. He couldn't help but laugh, "You guys really have a good fate. Louis, do you remember the dress that you asked me to make before?"
With a smile on his face, Louis knew exactly what had happened. "It was taken by Manon," he thought to himself.
"Exactly, you're so smart, ," Ray nodded repeatedly, but then he seemed a bit confused. "Didn't you already have a wedding last time? Why do you need to customize another wedding dress?"
Manon responded calmly, "Many elders didn't come last time, so this is a make-up ceremony. Ray , I'll leave this to you."
Although Ray looked puzzled, he didn't say anything and just shrugged, "Okay, I'll take care of it."
Then, as if he had thought of something, he added, "I won't charge you for this set. Consider it as a wedding gift for you two. But on the wedding day, I must attend."
Louis nodded in agreement after looking at Manon, and Ray left with a smile, soon returning with a set of wedding dress. "Try this one," he said.
Ray's taste was recognized by everyone, and Manon didn't say anything as she went into the fitting room.
This wedding dress was very complicated and required two sales assistants to help. Time passed by second by second, and both Louis and Ray were eagerly waiting outside.
"Wow..."
As the sound of the curtain being pulled back rang out, Louis looked up and his breath almost stopped at the sight of Manon. She was as fair as snow, with a peach blossom face and a one-shoulder wedding dress that perfectly exposed her collarbone. The hollow-out design on the back highlighted her graceful butterfly back, which was both alluring and elusive.
Her waist was slightly tightened, revealing her slender waist, and the hem of the dress was a long trailing style, made of natural down material that was light and not heavy.
Wearing it, Manon had a touch of red lips, no makeup on her face, and her eyelashes slightly curled up, with a lively and playful look in her eyes, as if she had walked out of a fairy tale, captivating and enchanting.
As she held up the hem of the dress and turned slightly in front of the mirror, images of her and Louis getting married floated into her mind, causing a few blushes to appear on her face, making her look even more charming and lovely.
Everyone present was stunned by her beauty, and Ray was particularly lavish in his praise.
"What do you think?" Manon looked at Louis expectantly.
In Louis eyes and heart, this girl who was like a princess had already occupied them. His lips couldn't help but curl up as he said, "Do you like it? If you do, then let's finalize it."
Both of them were very satisfied, and the wedding dress was naturally decided. As they were leaving, Ray teased them a few times, making Manon feel embarrassed.
Louis opened the car door and saw Manon standing on the side, not intending to get in the car. He asked in confusion, "What's wrong?"
"Mr. Malcolm, I still have to go back to the company, so you don't need to send me. See you tonight." Manon's face was calm, and her tone suddenly made their relationship distant.
Louis wanted to send her over, but Manon didn't give him a chance to speak. She turned around and took a dusty car away, leaving him helplessly laughing in place.
On the other side, Adrian was restless as soon as he heard the news that Manon and Louis were going to have a wedding. Without thinking, he drove to Anderson group . However, he couldn't get in because he didn't make an appointment in advance, so he could only wait outside the door.
Now that Manon and Louis haven't completely gone public, it was still acceptable for him to come to Manon to restore their engagement. Once it was made public to people in the industry, he could no longer openly look for Manon.
Adrian had been waiting in front of the Anderson group until it was dark, and Manon finally appeared at the door. Adrian quickly rushed over and blocked her path, "Manon! Are you really going to have a wedding with Louis?"
Manon was startled when she saw Adrian. She frowned and didn't want to talk to him. She went straight to the building without paying attention to him.
But Adrian was like a piece of gum, sticking to her and couldn't be shaken off. After a few times, she became annoyed and said, "Adrian! What do you want?"
"Manon , don't marry Louis. He's just playing with you. I'm different. I'll really treat you well." Adrian saw that she was willing to talk to him, so he quickly said good things with a smile on his face.
Manon's already ugly face turned cold in an instant, and she sternly rebuked him, "Get lost!"
While Adrian was stunned in place, she walked away. Adrian's brain was hot, and he didn't care about anything else. He hugged Manon from behind.
Manon struggled without any defense, but the more she struggled, the tighter the grip became. "What do you want to do, Adrian!" She panicked and bit directly on Adrian's hand that was holding her.
Adrian was caught off guard and was bitten hard. He screamed in pain and pushed her away, his eyes full of anger.
Manon fell to the ground, her arm scraped by the small stones on the ground, but she didn't care about the pain. She quickly got up and ran towards the roadside, afraid that Adrian would catch up with her.
Adrian was angry after being bitten and reached out to grab Manon's arm, but the next second he was hit on the head by a handbag.
"Manon! Are you okay?!" A familiar voice sounded in her ear, and Manon looked over with joy. " Ella ? What are you doing here!"
Ella ran up to support Manon , shielding her behind her and cursing, "What kind of dog is this, daring to chase after my Manon!"
