King Lachlan sigh heavily taking off his heavy robes. He placed them on armrest of the chair before laying on his bed to sleep.
It was still dark outside as it was yet for dawn to arrive.
Evelyn couldn't sleep, her mind drifted back to that silver eyes stranger. Who is he? And what does he want from her? She thought and got down from the bed. He eyes fell on the window, for some reasons she couldn't wrap her fingers on, she suddenly wish she could see that silver eyes stranger.
She walked towards the window and slowly opened it letting the cool night breeze blow on her softly. Her black Raven hair that fall across her back was slowly dancing behind together with the wind.
She stared out but there was no sign of vampires lurking around. That was strange! By now, vampires are supposed to be out feeding on any preys. She thought. Probably, they went to the forest to hunt for any animals to drink their blood. She thought again. Just as she was about to lock the window, she saw a shadow flew past her like a whirlwind and her heart began to tremble lightly.
The shadow landed softly on the huge tree facing her window. And then... The shadow turned to look at her, his silvery eyes staring directly into her black eyes.
Evelyn froze as she couldn't move her feet nor say a word. Her heart felt numbed just the way her mouth lost it's voice. Shock was evident on her face. She tried to move her body but couldn't.
This was strange and really terrifying. She wanted to scream her lungs out but couldn't, it was as if she was being hypnotized not to do anything and just remained immobile.
And ever so slowly, the silver eyes shadow walked on the huge tree and ...
*BOOM*
The window glass was broken making the silver eyes shadow to walk further.
But strangely, the shadow couldn't move. He felt restricted.
There is something stopping him from moving in and grabbing the beautiful human girl and claim her. But what was that? The shadow thought and before anything else could happen, he was gone and the hypnotism spell that was casted on Evelyn was broken.
Evelyn gasped. She saw the silver eyes stranger again but it was his shadow? Where is his real self? She thought and was suddenly being disturbed when she heard a creaking sound of her door opened and her father walked in with a confused look.
Dad? You are awake? She asked acting all normal.
Mr Fraser gaze lingered long on his daughter as if being wary of her.
What are you doing at the window? He asked.
Evelyn eyes widened in shock and fear as she didn't know how she'd explain the broken window sill to her father and sister when they ask her.
Thank God her body was blocking the broken sill.
I ... I'm sorry, I had a scary night mare. So I decided to take a fresh air. Evelyn said even though it was partly true. She didn't want her father stressing himself cause of her.
Lila has already made things complicated for their mother by insisting on visiting the royal castle.
Just be careful. Her father said softly and Evelyn just smiled while her father turned away and left.
Evelyn turned to look at the broken sill and was in disbelief to see it fixed as though it was never broken.
That's strange. She mumbled and went back to sleep.
In the dungeon, the silver eyes man growled. He was so close to reaching her but something like a barrier had blocked him. He closed his eyes tightly hoping this godforsaken king Lachlan will release him as he had said, and if he didn't, he will set this place ablaze and turn this magnificent castle into a burning hellfire.
The next day, the sun was shining brightly in the sky, Evelyn woke up covered in sweats.
Did she dream of him? It was only once he appeared in her dream and she had a dream of him. This is strange. She thought and hopefully, she will forget about him. She won't let a mere stranger cause her self to be messed up and all foggy. She murmured under her breath. She got down from the bed and was surprised to see Lila sitting on the stool with a parchment on the table and a quill pen.
Morning lovely sis. Evelyn greeted all smiles.
Lila rolled her eyes.
Keep your greetings to your self. She said and Evelyn rolled her eyes. What a stubborn sis I have.
Are you heading out today? Evelyn asked.
Why do you care? Lila retorted.
So I can report to mum and dad of your plan to send a letter to the vampire king. Evelyn said with a serious tone.
Lila finally lost it and angrily stomped out of the room. Her sister was so annoying to the core.
Evelyn sigh.
She took the parchment and the quill pen folding it and keeping it back in the wardrobe. If their mother have insisted for them not to visit the royal castle. Then,so be it. She will have to keep an eye on Lila. That girl is always running faster than her shadow which is bad.
Evelyn went to the bathroom to have her bath. After her bath, she came out all dressed and went outside of the room to see her family sitting on the small Dining table ready to have their breakfast.
Good morning mum and dad. Evelyn greeted with a smile making her way to seat next to her mum since Lila had refused to acknowledge her presence.
Morning child, hope you slept well? Her mother asked.
Yes mama, i did. Evelyn said as she began to eat.
Lila rolled her eyes.
That's good child. Mrs Fraser said sweetly.
With that said, everyone focused on their food.
In the vampire castle,
King Lachlan was sitting on his throne sipping a glass of blood when prince Thomas and Julian walked in.
Greetings your royal majesty! The both princes greeted as they made their ways to sit ready to discuss with the king.
