Len let out a heavy sigh, his head and back on the brick wall behind him. His black suit now was stained with a huge amount of thick black-red blood, caused by the goblins blood spurting body.
He sighed as he took a last glance at the green creature(Goblins) corpse.
" I actually killed it. I actually killed a goblin." Len exhausted, thought in his mind as he looked at the corpse. He had managed to kill one of the creatures which had been slaughtering people like pigs since. Such a scene sent a feeling of happiness enter into his body.
Although len had never killed before, killing this creature did not disturb him in the slightest.
This was not because he simply didn't care rather it was because it was this goblin that killed that child and his mother before. This goblin, sliced and grinned as he ripped the child of that woman in front of her eyes and not only that, she too was also killed as she ran madly towards her child.
She was decapitated like an animal in an instant, leaving her lifeless body and that of her child to hug each other on the bloodied streets.
Len had seen this scene and more others. Children, brothers, sisters, husbands, mothers, fathers as well friends all dead, their body parts, organs, photos littered on the streets, dying the once bright city blood red.
Such a scene was enough to overwhelm any normal person and len was one too. But even though he saw such things, he still didn't give up and rather he kept moving.
Perhaps, it was because he was used to seeing deaths in movies and games or he was naturally this quick to recover he didn't know. All that he knew right now was that he had survived and this could be the very chance he had to inspire a comeback.
Len once again looked towards the goblins corpse on the ground and smiled coldly.
He immediately pushed his head and back from the surface of the wall and intended to approach the corpse when suddenly...
*Tss~*
A purple coloured panel like window, suddenly shone on len field of vision, completely stunning him. The panel like window had large amounts of words written on it in pure white and a mini holographic version of himself on it.
[Host len kent has been fully awakened.]
[Host len kent has fully awakened the survival system]
[Host len Ken system (survival system) is the system currently available due to Host's path]
[Host will be able to advance his system and grow far more in the future by absorbing substance from monsters, humans, as well as the awakened ones. Will Host like to start growth with this goblin corpse Y/N]
An Increasing breath, a pounding heart and a racing mind, lens eyes shone wide, his face bearing one of shock, surprise and also disbelief. He stared at the panel for a while, the sheer weight if its existence pressing unto him, before his lips slowly and surely turned into a curve.
"Hahaha, who would have thought that things like this truly exist. I will gladly make use of this system.]
Without any hesitation, lens moved his fingers to the screen in front of him and tapped the word "yes" on it.
Immediately a small light green energy began flying out of the goblins corpse nearby. The goblins corpse began spasming, its essence getting taken away as the green light flew up a few metres into the sky, its body in a circular form.
[Would you like to store or absorb it?]
[Note: Due to it being your first time awakening, It will take quite sometime to absorb such energy. So it will be better to absorb it in a safe space so as to prevent ambush.]
Len looked at the alley he was in. It was quite a scattered path, with newspaper flying everywhere, dumpster and trash cans all on the floor. If he was to absorb this goblins essence while here, he would most likely end up getting ambushed. This was mostly because the other goblins would look to find the missing goblin he had just killed, and so they would rush to find him therefore finding this place in the process.
"System? Can you show me a safe place nearby to absorb such energy." Len called in his mind.
[....]
"Hmm, it seems it is not in the level of human interaction yet, uh. I guess I will have to find some where to work."
Tapping the word "store" in the panel. Len again attempted to find a safe place in this blood filled and monster lurking city.
