Chapter 1 - Ch-1 I want you to be Mine!

The scorching afternoon sun cast its glare on a tall man standing by the roadside. His presence was so commanding that passersby couldn't help but glance at him, yet no one dared to approach.

Standing at 6 feet 3 inches, the 30-year-old exuded an aura of power and danger. He was on the phone, his deep brown eyes burning with fury as he spoke.

Dressed in a fitted black shirt with the sleeves slightly rolled up, his muscular forearms and broad shoulders only added to his intimidating presence. His rough, unkempt hair gave him a rugged edge, while the expensive watch on his wrist gleamed under the sun. The veins on his hands were slightly visible, hinting at the strength he carried.

His voice, deep and commanding, cut through the air like a blade.

"Is this some kind of joke? Do you think I flew all the way from Australia to London just to listen to your bullshit? If this deal isn't closed by this evening, forget that we were ever business partners! And if you value your life, don't even think of making me angry… Do you understand?"

There was a deadly authority in his tone—one that left no room for argument. His expressions were sharp, his jaw clenched as he worked to resolve a situation that was clearly spiraling out of control.

He was Alex Carter.

Just then, his assistant rushed over, visibly nervous.

"Sir, please calm down. You're the mafia king of underworld. Your name is in the news every other day. Everyone here is watching, and if something goes wrong, the media—"

"JUST SHUT UP!" Alex snapped, his voice cutting like thunder. "Don't tell me what I should or shouldn't do!"

His assistant flinched as Alex turned his glare towards his car—a sleek Porsche, now broken down in the middle of the road.

He had already been waiting too long for it to be fixed, and with every passing second, his patience thinned. Frustration surged through him as he slammed his hand hard against the car's hood, his voice sharp with irritation.

"First, this damn heat is unbearable, and now this car has to break down in the worst possible place? London's weather is already on my nerves!"

Then, turning to his assistant, he growled,

"Listen… either get it fixed in 15 minutes or bring another car. But if we're not out of here in 15 minutes, you don't even want to know what happens next."

His assistant turned pale, nodding quickly before rushing off to arrange another vehicle.

Alex exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. His mood was only getting worse, and everyone around him knew—when Alex Carter was angry, London trembled.

Alex's pov

I was trying to make a phone call and didn't even realize how close I had come to the edge of the road.

I wasn't paying any attention to my surroundings and a truck was rapidly heading toward me. The truck driver was distracted by his phone instead of focusing on driving, he had no idea that I was in front of him, so he carelessly sped toward me.

The truck had gotten dangerously close to me and was almost about to hit me. The people around screamed in fear, but just before the truck could touch him, I felt someone grab my arms.

Though the grip felt very delicate, those gentle hands managed to pull me away from the path of the truck just at the right time.

Everything happened so suddenly that I couldn't process what had just occurred. I felt a slight push but was quickly steadied by my assistant and other men.

I stepped away from them, I quickly composed myself and then looked at the girl standing in front of me, who had just risked her life to save mine.

Although I couldn't see her face clearly because it was covered with a scarf, likely to protect herself from the sun.

I couldn't see her face but her deep blue eyes were clearly visible to me.

I found myself completely captivated by that girl's blue eyes. a shade of blue so deep, it seemed to hold an entire ocean of mysteries within them.

As I gazed into her eyes, it was as if time had stopped. All the noise around me faded away and for a brief moment, the world seemed to shrink to just her and me.

The intensity in her eyes made my heart skip a beat.

I had always been a man of control, a man of power but there was something about her eyes that unraveled me.

I didn't know why but I was drawn to her in a way I couldn't explain.

I was continuously staring into the her eyes and perhaps because of that, she maybe feel uncomfortable so She tried to distract me and asked in her sweet voice,

"Are you okay?"

I was still so absorbed in looking at her that I couldn't respond at all. Then she said to me,

"Please take care of your life. It is very precious and it won't come back."

Her words made me feel so good that I couldn't hide my emotions and a smile appeared on my face.

As I didn't respond she was about to turn and leave when I stopped her, saying,

"Hey, listen..."

She turned back, as if waiting to see why I had stopped her.

Then looking into her beautiful eyes, I said,

"Your eyes are incredibly beautiful."

Though I couldn't see her expression clearly, it seemed like she smiled but I couldn't be sure.

I didn't know what was happening to me but I couldn't control myself. Without much thinking I immediately asked her,

" I want you to be mine. Will you marry me?"

Yes, I knew it was the wrong place, the wrong time and the wrong question to ask but looking at her, it was so hard for me to control myself.

Upon hearing my question, her deep blue eyes widened in surprise. Maybe she was also angry at the way I asked but she didn't show it and answered me calmly,

"I'm sorry, but I'm married."

The moment those words left her lips, it felt like someone had struck my heart with a hammer.

Just then I noticed her Wedding ring— it meant she was right. She was married.

which meant she was someone else's.

It was so hard for me to accept that the girl I liked was already someone else's.

but before I could think further, the noise around us grew louder as the media began gathering.

My Porsche still hadn't been fixed but a replacement car had been arranged. My assistant and men immediately came to me, pulling me away from the crowd.

As soon as I shifted my attention, the girl quickly left.

In the midst of the chaos, I didn't even realize when she disappeared from my sight and I didn't even get a chance to ask her name.

I felt like I wanted to shoot every person in the crowd....

To be continued..
