Chapter 2 - Prison

My parents had never taught me any magic nor martial arts. I'd never once even been in a fight my whole life. Despite being raised by the two powerhouses of the world, I hadn't used an ounce of magic or ever raised my fist against anyone.

And now I was being sent to some random prison to rot the rest of my life just because I was viewed as some threat by the geezers of the Humanitarian Democracy. But, no matter what I think it won't really change the fact I'm going to a prison.

With my head hung low I was pushed forwards by Isabel and led past many pedestrians for what felt like hours until we finally reached the giant tower that loomed high in the sky, yet it wasn't tall enough to pierce the clouds, only tall enough to split the sky in two.

It stood high and unwavering, it was a perfect cylinder shape that was made of pure black stone that shined brightly in the blazing sunlight that appeared only after the terrible storm on this dreadful day.

Tapping on the black steel door, Isabel whispered before the door swung open and invited us in.

My feet grew still but as the constant nudges of the burly guards behind grew into forceful shoves I was forced forward into the prison...my new home, forever.

As the steel doors cranked and closed behind me, I randomly remembered a documentary a specific news station did on a man who'd once been in the most dangerous prison but had been let out and managed to turn his life around.

I specifically remember him saying something along the lines of "I can't talk too much about it but I'll tell you all I can. The Airlocked Prison, well all I can say is that only the prisoners will ever understand its name. The black steel doors appear quite imposing until you're met with the hell hole that that door keeps within, that's all I can really say."

The man on the station left shortly after, but did appear on many other news anchors for various different reasons. He still lives a relatively good life today.

But more importantly, myself, this place can't really be-

"The Airlocked Prison." I whimpered aloud.

"Ah, it seems you do know this place. Usually it takes only a few moments for the other people to realize where they're going, but it took you a little longer."

Isabel glanced over her shoulder to say whilst she still led me farther into the prison.

"Why am I going to the highest security, cruelest, and most violent and dangerous prison where only the most abominable and fearsome people from across the world are sent to!"

"Hey, don't ask me. I'm only doing what I'm told, I'm doing the only thing I can do."

Isabel stopped infront of a special pad that she started to touch before she retracted her hand and spun her head around.

"You can't see this." she remarked in a stern voice.

My vision instantly went blurry as I lost all energy in my body and swaded before falling and relinquishing my eyes to the darkness.

'It seemed one of those guards knocked me out real goo-'

Opening my eyes I rubbed my head and sat up. My eyes were only slightly blurry but after a few blinks they cleared up and I was to see clearly.

Using my knee I supported myself and stood up before looking around and realizing I was in a medium sized room with one bed that had a blanket and pillow, and a toilet that was in a little room.

Tink. Tink. The low sound of someone tapping on glass in the direction facing my back.

"You're finally awake. Welp now that you're awake I can finally explain this prison's rules and then get out of here."

"At the start of the day you'll have a generous amount of alone time, after that you'll have 12 hours of work with two breaks in between, one for lunch and the other is role call, after you've finished this you'll be returned to your cells where for the next 2 hours you can either play sports or stay in your cell for the rest of the day."

"Sounds fun."

Isabel smiled forcefully.

"Now here's the real important part. There are 20 cells on every floor and each and every floor has four ventilations that give air to the north, south, east, and west cells. The four cells have little air ducts that move the air from cell N(north) to the cell to the left and right of it. That's how you get air in this prison."

"Basically what it's trying to say is if you're in a cell in between north and east and both north and east block the ducts that give air to your direction, then you'll die because you won't be supplied any air."

Isabel explained in a harsh but truthful way that revealed the sinister underlying message behind the rules and formation of this prison that holds monsters.

'So this prison is just as much if not more of a monster than the prisoners, huh.'

"Anyway, with that done I wish you the best of luck living here for the rest of your life."

"Oh, and if you ever do escape do forget to visit me."

Isabel's pale white face swung around as her short purple hair covered her face that showed her pure detested and disgusted face that was all due to the horrid scene she'd been force to pass on the first floor of the Airlock Prison. Senithan was on the 3rd floor and was knocked out when they passed the first so he never saw the sight that threatened to make Isabel's lunch have a reappearance.

=Seithan's Viewpoint=

Laying in his bed he heard a chiseling sound coming from his left as he sat up to look at it, but then it stopped.

Laying back into his bed he thought some more on what Isabel had explained to him and how this prison is clearly meant to ,indirectly, kill instead of contain.

The chiseling sound resounded once again.

Fed up with this repetitive sound Senithan jumped out of his blanketed bed and approached the stone where the sound was coming from.

Pressing his hands against the cold and ruff stone walls Senithan heard the sound again before he heard a crack and saw as a hole the size of a caterpillar appeared in the wall.

Falling back Senithan spoke up.

"Hello?"

"Is that a person. I haven't heard anyone's voice in a while." Mysterious person?
