Chapter 16 - Chapter 15: The One Who Never Turns Back

In the interrogation room of the police station, Ah jie sat in a chair, arms crossed, silently looking at the detective opposite him.

"You're Bang's friend, right?" The detective stared at him, trying to see any clues in his eyes.

Ah jie pursed his lips and smiled, a bitter smile. "Friend? Hmm...I guess so."

The detective tapped the table lightly. "Then do you understand Bang's actions? Why did he become like this?"

Ah jie was silent for a long time, his gaze drifting to a point in the air. He took a deep breath and finally spoke, "Bang...he was never a bad person. When I met him, he was just a taciturn guy, sometimes even a bit dull. But you know what? He's a very loyal person. If someone treats him well, he'll repay them tenfold."

The detective narrowed his eyes. "Unfortunately, he killed a lot of people."

"You only saw him killing, but you didn't see why he ended up this way." Ah jie's eyes were firm. "I don't know what you think, but I understand Bang's heart. He's not a bloodthirsty person; he's just using his own way to fight against the injustice of this world."

The detective frowned, flipping through his notebook. "Ah jie, we're not here to discuss his philosophy of life. We just want to know if you have any clues about his last whereabouts."

Ah jie shook his head, his eyes filled with a hint of sadness. "Bang won't come back." He paused, his lips trembling slightly. "If he still cared about me, our last message wouldn't be left unread."

The detective was silent.

On the other side, the police successively brought in Bang's boss and colleagues.

The boss looked worried, leaning back in his chair, constantly wiping the sweat from his forehead. "I really didn't know he would do such a thing...God, I thought this kid was a bit scary when he was silent..."

"So, you're afraid of him?"

The boss nodded vigorously. "Who wouldn't be afraid? You know what? He could still work calmly while he was working at our company, it's terrifying..."

His colleague Lee looked indifferent, shrugging. "Tch, he killed people, that's true, but he didn't hurt us. You investigate yours, don't ask us so much."

Some were afraid, some were indifferent, and some were full of respect.

"I respect him." An older colleague smoked, his tone implying something. "In this world, how many people live cowardly? How many people endure in silence? But Bang...he chose a different path."

The detective stared at him. "Are you defending him?"

The colleague smiled and shook his head. "No, I'm just stating the facts."

The police received various answers but never obtained any substantial clues.

Bang's shadow seemed to be gradually disappearing from everyone's lives. But whether it was fear, indifference, or respect, his existence could not be erased.

He had become a legend.
