"Will Shizun finally take lectures tomorrow?" The youth asked with curiosity filled in his eyes to the brim.
"Yes, yes. You lot should go prepare for tomorrow." Pan Xiu, no wait, Yu-Zhen replied. He had no idea how to hold a conversation with the young learners, nor did he have any idea what lecture he was supposed to hold. He just wanted the kids to go away, so that he could collect whatever information he could gather. As for the lecture, well, he'd just cross that bridge when he comes to it. The group of disciples followed his commands, like little soldiers, and left.
"Ma Wei, this Master is a bit forgetful, so tell me, what had I taught in the previous lecture?"
"If this servant remembers correctly, I believe Master was teaching the disciples about the art of healing and reversing the effects of the Crimson-Dew poison from one's system."
Healing? Crimson-what poison?
Please don't tell me... is this Yu-Zhen guy a doctor?
I didn't even properly study the basics of biology when I was a student! I didn't even know what 'liver' was until recently! Apparently, it's an organ that... well, it does SOMETHING!! The only doctor-type thing I know is to take Ibuprofen when you have a fever, so how am I supposed to TEACH KIDS about healing poison?! I'm an actor, for god's sake!
While Yu-Zhen was having his justified mental breakdown, his eyes fell upon a particular person wearing a very stern expression. This person was also making his way across the yard, towards one of the hallways like the others. But something was weirdly familiar about this man.
It was his clothes. He wore a loose, flowy robe that moved as elegantly as the man itself, of muted sage green color with intricate designs on the collar and the ends of the garment. Hair in a bun, gold crown fixed onto the bun, you simply couldn't look away from him.
That outfit, didn't I see someone wearing that exact thing on set?
Yeah, that's right, I've definitely seen one of the actors wear it before. Who was that guy playing as again?
Before Yu-Zhen could finish that trail of thought, he could faintly hear a voice calling out to the guy, amidst the crowd of people.
"Elder Liao Yan! Where are you rushing off to?"
All hell broke loose inside Yu-Zhen's mind, as the new information hit him like bricks falling on top of his head. Every piece of the puzzle fell into place. He finally knew where he was.
'Holy fuck.'
'I'm in Crimson Justice.'
.
Crimson Justice was the name of the TV show he had been filming before transmigrating. As the name suggests, it was a classic story following the protagonist, who wreaked vengeance on all that wronged him as a child.
Shao Xiu, whom Pan Xiu had himself acted as was the protagonist of Crimson Justice. Orphaned at a very young age and abandoned by his godparents, he practically grew up on the streets. He struggled each day, trying to earn a living and food for himself. But soon, a ray of hope shined upon him as he ended up joining Yu An Peak, one of the most prominent and distinguished Peak of its time that specialized in the cultivation of martial arts and spiritual power, along with the practice of medicine.
There, he became a low-level disciple of Liao Yan, an elder of the Yu An Peak with countless talented and skilled disciples with glorious achievements in the field of cultivation, looking up to them and his Shizun with bright eyes, as he hoped he could achieve the heights that they have attained in their lifetimes.
Aha! Remember, Shao Xiu was the PROTAGONIST of Crimson Justice. Of course, things didn't go the way he had hoped. The vast aspirations that the youth kept in his heart were crushed as he soon began to be tortured and harassed by his own fellow disciples. Why did they torture Shao Xiu, you might ask. The reason was simply because he was the protagonist. His fate was bound to betray him and lead him to march towards a path of bitterness. His Shizun, whom Shao Xiu admired, did absolutely nothing as watched his disciple get torn to pieces, mentally and physically by the abuse, driven to a point where suicide became the only escape.
The only person who did stick up for him throughout his entire life, Ren Lei, was the second lead of Crimson Justice. He was a typical, loving side character. He devoted his entire life to Shao Xiu, supporting him and helping him as a true confidant, even during his darkest times. When Shao Xiu was harassed by his peers, Ren Lei stood beside him. He also suffered at the hands of other disciples, but never once lost faith in himself or Shao Xiu, believing his situation would get better with time, and it eventually did.
Shao Xiu, overcome by hatred, escaped Yu An Peak along with Ren Lei, vowing to only return and attain retribution when he was on top of the world and get payback for the nightmare he suffered at the hands of his peers, and his Shizun who turned his head away when Shao Xiu needed him. Roaming around for a few years, Shao Xiu and Ren Lei eventually came across an old Master cultivating on a lone mountain along with a handful of disciples.
The master of this mountain, Cui Xue, taught both youngsters many techniques and practices, and both Shao Xiu and Ren Lei were more than eager to recognize Master Cui as their Shizun. Shao Xiu already had a very steady spiritual core, easily putting him ahead of the other disciples now that he received proper guidance. Ren Lei lagged not too far behind and soon with adequate practice and mentorship, became the second most powerful and renowned cultivator at the Annual Spiritual Competition, where various disciples showcased their skills, with Shao Xiu occupying the first place.
The female lead of this story, Song Jia was also a disciple of Master Cui. She was quite bold and courageous, and initially suspicious and skeptical of the protagonist and his friend. But after being blinded by the protagonist's halo, she became a faithful lover of Shao Xiu. Their love story was quite messy, since Ren Lei was also initially madly in love with Song Jiu, while Shao Xiu wasn't attracted to her at first.
But obviously, even if the protagonist literally flips off the female lead, she would get blinded by her love and fail to see who really cherished her. Ren Liu's love for Song Jia remained unrequited, as the protagonist eventually realized his feelings.
In the end, energized by the power of love and friendship, Shao Xiu returned to Yu An Peak, achieved his long-awaited revenge, and even became the new Peak Lord of Yu An Peak.
A complete happy ending.
.
'Wait what? Where the hell is Yu-Zhen in this story?'
