Chapter 11:
An old booklet fell into his hands. The system originally provided memory installation services, but the price was too expensive. Lin Bai thought about it and decided to be self-reliant.
Putting away the book, Lin Bai summoned the second martial spirit, and there was a faint sound of dragon roar coming from behind.
The appearance of the Golden Silkworm King's martial spirit had changed drastically. It was almost impossible to recognize the original race. The white skin had been replaced by dazzling golden dragon scales. He had a pair of short dragon horns on his head. His body was slender, leaving only a third of the bloated posture of a silkworm baby. The lower part of the body was supported by three-fingered feet, resembling an overweight dragon.
The top martial spirit, Golden Dragon Silkworm.
"Possessed by a martial spirit!"
As Lin Bai's thoughts arose, the Golden Dragon Silkworm Spirit merged into his body. His size skyrocketed, and the muscles of his originally slender limbs bulged. New power surged from within, and a layer of illusory dragon scales appeared on his body's surface.
Lin Bai lit up his golden eyes. The Golden Dragon Silkworm was evolved based on dragon blood, transforming Lin Bai's bloodline and granting him a certain amount of dragon blood. At this moment, his golden vertical pupils narrowed slightly, and everything within a hundred meters was as clear as day.
"The descendants of the dragon sound much better than the descendants of the silkworm."
Lin Bai clenched his fist, feeling the power in his body, and punched the tree trunk next to him. With a loud crack, the bark shattered and splintered. The thick locust tree shook violently, broke directly in half, and countless oval leaves fell to the ground.
"I feel no pain. The defense is very strong, and my strength has increased greatly. Does the Golden Dragon Silkworm have the blood of the Golden Dragon of the 'Clan of Power'?"
Lin Bai shook his head. It didn't seem like it. He was possessed by a dragon martial spirit, giving him very high attributes as a soul master. It might just be an ordinary golden dragon bloodline.
"It's useless to think too much. It will evolve into the Silkworm Dragon Spirit within a year. I just need to add more status soul skills."
After getting familiar with the new martial spirit, Lin Bai packed up his tent, swept away any traces nearby, rented a carriage, and returned to Notting City.
Inside the Seven Houses.
Xiao Wu was lying on the bed, using a bedding that Wang Sheng had lent her money to buy. Her small, exquisite feet swung from the edge of the bed as she gazed up at the wooden ceiling.
"So boring…"
Just as Xiao Wu sighed, a work-study student ran into the seventh dormitory, out of breath, and panted, "Sister Xiao Wu, Wang Sheng got into a fight with someone!"
Xiao Wu perked up and jumped out of bed. "If you dare to bully my little brother, let's go! Sister Xiao Wu will stand up for you."
She happily ran out of Qizhu and followed her younger brother to the garden grassland behind the college. Wang Sheng and a group of work-study students were confronting a group of students.
Wang Sheng's face was covered in bruises, but he held his ground. When he saw Xiao Wu arrive, he smiled in surprise. "Sister!"
"Whoever hit you, let me take it out on them."
Xiao Wu's domineering aura was in sharp contrast to her cute and innocent face.
"Wang Shengyue went back to his hometown, and he actually found a little girl to be the boss."
Three young men stepped forward. The leading boy was Xiao Chenyu, the son of the city lord.
His eyes were filled with contempt, and Xiao Wu glared back. The tension between the two was thick, but sparks still flew.
Lin Bai had just finished registering at Wuhun Hall, and what he saw upon returning was this scene.
He had no intention of getting involved, but Wang Sheng had managed to withstand years of bullying from Xiao Chenyu. Aside from Xiao Chenyu's reluctance to take action, Wang Sheng's extraordinary eyesight played an important role.
"Lin Bai, over here!"
Wang Sheng was overjoyed to see Lin Bai and waved his hands repeatedly.
The noisy crowd parted automatically, revealing Lin Bai behind.
He walked over to Xiao Wu and patted Wang Sheng's shoulder hard. Looking at Wang Sheng grimacing in pain, he smiled and said, "My first soul skill is a healing skill. Don't worry, Xiao Wu. I'll treat you."
While speaking, to prove what he said was true, Lin Bai summoned the Ruyi Golden Needle martial spirit. A circle of yellow spirit rings appeared, and he skillfully held the golden needle with his slender fingers, popping it out and stabbing Wang Sheng's acupuncture point.
After three quick injections, the swelling on Wang Sheng's face quickly subsided, and he was in high spirits. Without the dust on his body, he would have looked perfectly fine.
"Uh, thanks, Lin Bai. Were you originally a healing soul master? Then before you…"
Wang Sheng remembered Lin Bai's reluctance to fight with him, and his expression became awkward. He speculated that Lin Bai might not have much combat power and hesitated to speak. He didn't continue, aware that Xiao Chenyu was nearby.
Xiao Wu watched Lin Bai treat Wang Sheng and patted Lin Bai's arm. "Well done, now let me show you Sister Xiao Wu's strength!"
"Possessed by the Soft Bone Rabbit!"
Xiao Wu's body was surrounded by pink soul energy, and fluffy bunny ears sprouted from her head. She bounced them playfully, instantly adding new charm to her already adorable appearance.
Another circle of yellow soul rings appeared, and Xiao Chenyu's expression changed. He was now in a dilemma. He remembered his father's instructions and was unwilling to provoke a genius who could attach a century-old soul ring.
"We admit defeat!"
Xiao Chenyu raised his hands to admit defeat, not giving Xiao Wu a chance to act. The two younger boys beside him breathed a sigh of relief. If Xiao Chenyu hadn't been there, they would have given up long ago after seeing the two hundred-year-old soul rings.
"Ah, did you really admit defeat?"
Xiao Wu's excited expression faltered. She had been hoping for a good fight.
No more fun now.
She pouted as she thought about her daily duties and hummed softly, "Since you admit defeat, you'll be doing all the work-study duties from now on."
"No problem."
Xiao Chenyu's change of attitude was extremely smooth, and there was nothing to complain about after losing to a strong opponent.
Xiao Wu could fuse a century-old spirit ring, making her a strong person that he couldn't afford to offend.
"Nothing more, I'll leave first."
Lin Bai put away his martial spirit and was about to turn around and leave to practice the Zhao family gun he had obtained when Tang San's voice called from behind.
"What's going on here?"
Tang San walked over from the direction of the dormitory, his temperament calm and natural. His breakthrough in Xuantian Kung had cleared his mind, and his entire demeanor felt more open.
"Tang San, you're back too!"
Wang Sheng, always the most enthusiastic, stepped forward to explain the situation. "It's a pity you came late, you missed seeing Elder Sister and Lin Bai showing off. They both have two hundred-year-old soul rings. The arrogant Boss Xiao and his crew were too scared to do anything."
A century-old soul ring?
Tang San's eyes narrowed, showing surprise, and he turned to look at Lin Bai and Xiao Wu.
Is it really as rare as the teacher said, to be born with full soul power?
After his recent doubts about Yu Xiaogang, this new realization seemed even more impactful.
"Go ask the teacher. It seems Lin Bai has no intention of becoming a disciple, and this Xiao Wu is also a gifted soul master. I think the teacher will be willing to accept her as a disciple."
Tang San's thoughts inadvertently shifted to Yu Xiaogang. After giving Wang Sheng a few casual words, he turned and left, heading to Yu Xiaogang's dormitory.
