"I am sorry. I just freaked out… You know, it's kinda late and I am a woman." I apologize, flashing a small smile apologetically as I push the glass of water towards him, sitting just opposite him, waiting for his response as I watch him take the glass and sip water.
"So, Alex, right?" I mumble, smiling a little. He nods, and I continue, "I had no idea Amana had a cousin." I chuckle. "Oh, I am a little distant in relation, that's why. Anyway, I was visiting my hometown and had some work to do, so I came by. I will share the other room; you won't mind, right?"
I shake my head no, not wanting to make him uncomfortable. "I was looking for a roommate anyway. It would be good to have a company and someone to share expenses with. Also, you are her cousin, it's comforting." Alex nods his head, chuckling.
"So, have you been here for a long time?" I ask, leaning forward as I lean my head against my arms, "Or is your business time short and you will leave?" I add, wanting to be sure of his intention and settle well.
"Ah, about that. I am not quite sure. I have a place to be and after that… I might be looking for a job too." He says, making me frown, but I don't pry, I nod my head, "As long as you are staying, let's get along."
He nods his head, "Sure."
"It still amazes me how you recognized me when we had never met." I chuckle, remembering how he had called out my name when I was hitting him in complete oblivion to his identity. "Oh, that's… haha. Amana had told me you are in town and that I should go see you and share the place. I asked for a picture to be sure."
I nod my head, "I see. It's good to have you, it's not like we are strangers now. Amana is also my family."
He smiles, I stand up and speak, "Your room would be that one." I say, pointing to the far edge door opposite my room, he nods, and I smile. "It was my first day today, so I am kinda tired. Feel free to use the kitchen, I have done the grocery shopping enough for a few days. I am going to bed."
I say, bidding him goodnight as I walk to my room, putting my tote bag down, I stretch myself, feeling exhaustion consuming me, I walk to the window, and stretch out to pull the glass cover when I gasp, there was a pair of glowing eyes down on the corner of the alley, I frown as something emerges from the darkness.
I slowly close the window when I feel the eyes now morphing into a big figure of the wolf, I gasp out loud, and just in a second, there is nothing, I open the window wide and look further down the alley, trying to figure out if I really saw a wolf in the middle of a city, weird.
Baffled, I close the window and shake my head. I pull the curtains close and walk to bed. I take the blazer off and throw it on the bed, I walk to the wardrobe and grab a pair of clothes, I walk into the washroom, relaxing into the stream of warm water.
Outside the room, Alex was busy texting, a frown creeping across his face, a curse escaping his lips. He placed the phone back on the table and looked towards Sierra's room, a sigh escaping his lips as he walked to his room.

Next day
I am fucked. I rush down the house, hurrying down the alleyway as I look around, trying to catch a cab. How did I forget to set an alarm?
I look around, cursing under my breath as I run further down, and I can't find a cab now when I need it the most. I check the time, and I have fifteen minutes until office hours start, and I am done for.
"Sierra!" I turn around, I frown, but I smile as he takes his helmet out, "Alex."
"Are you late? Come, I will drop you off." He says, I sigh, in relief, and walk to him, "Thank you, Alex. I am really late." I say, getting up on his bike, and holding him. He starts the bike, "Hold tight." I hold his jacket as the bike roars onto the highway.
I direct him occasionally, I check the time, and it is almost 9 am, he drops me in front of the company, "You work here?" He asks, I nod my head as I get off, it was good I had formals on today. I look at him in gratitude, "Thank you, Alex. I will buy you dinner." I say, rushing in without saying goodbye.
Alex watches me rushing in, a small smile forming on his lips as he shakes his head and looks up, frowning as he checks the name of the company, gasping, and he starts the bike, driving into the distance, mingling into the sight.
I check the time, phew. Just in time.
I walk to the elevator, tapping my feet as I wait impatiently for the elevator to open, I feel a presence behind me but I don't acknowledge it since I am in a rush, the door opens and I rush in, I can hear a few gasps behind me, when I turn around and press the button, a figure passed by me, I look out and tilt my head as the others were looking at me in shock.
What happened?
Just as I was about to be vocal with my thoughts, the door shut.
"Is this the time for you to come to work?"
I flinch, I turn around and see him, "You-" I almost snapped, he is my boss, ugh!
"Sorry…b-boss." I mumble, biting my lip, trying hard not to curse, but what he said after made me gasp in disbelief. "You have time to ride and make boyfriends… why waste time working?" He asks, raising a brow, his nose scrunching very subtly.
"What?" I ask, baffled.
Luthien shrugs off, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest, "Ain't I right? I saw you…" He smirks, making me irked, "You get turned on when I touch…" He says, inching closer to me, I gasp, taking steps back, suddenly conscious and perplexed.
"What..a-are you doing?" I say, my back against the closed door, "Stating fact… don't you think?" He says, tilting his head.
"No. I am not!" I huff, offended by how he called me out.
"Why not? You were moaning yesterday when I touched you…" He smirks, tucking my hair behind my ear, I feel a shiver run down my body as he leans closer, "And, yet you have someone dropping you off to work… did u sleep with him?"
I widen my eyes, "What?"
"You heard me right… You smell like another man." He mumbles, jaw tightening as his breath fans my face, my heart beats rising as I feel my stomach churn, why does my stomach act weird in his presence? Are these butterflies? Fuck.
No, not for him!
Just when I was catching my breath, the door opened and I stumbled down on the floor. I yelped in pain, I heard him laugh at my misery, I sat up, the door wide open, and I caressed my head in pain as he knelt before me.
"Seems like… fate is punishing you for.." He leans closer, whispering against my ear, "...playing around." He pulls back, I glare at him. "What do you think I am?" I hiss, standing up as I huff, "You are my boss, be one." I snap, flipping my hair as I walk off.
How dare he?!
He had the audacity to call me out, say what? Turned on? Like hell!
Playing around, who me?
I rush to the department, burning in rage, only if he wasn't my boss… I would have shown him who he is messing around with.
