"Doesn't the air here feel heavier?" the mage asked.
"No!" the lancer scoffed. "You're probably just nervous."
"Am not!"
The three of them ventured further into the dungeon. It was a rocky terrain that was barely lit. It was like a cave, except the ceiling was covered in a stream of water that dripped down on them every so often.
The swordsman led them down a hill that branched off of the main path. "If the recon is correct, the loot should be up ahead."
"What's guarding it?" the lancer asked.
"Nothing." the mage said. "Since this is an uncommon dungeon, the mobs here are like lambs and sheep and even deer."
"Meaning?"
"Meaning the mobs here dont guard loot because they lack the intelligence to see it as valuable."
Small little gems glistened in the wall. Green, blue and red gems flickered on and off.
"Are these materia gems?" the lancer asked. He plucked off of the wall. The green gem glowed brightly.
"Yup," the mage said. The staff she carried was studded with blue and red gems. "Materia is a really important resource for hunters because it grants special abilities and skills."
The swordsman scowled. "We don't have time to harvest. Or exposit. Come on."
The lancer rolled his eyes. Dropping the green gem into his pocket, he followed the swordsman around a bend. The mage followed behind.
