Chapter 5 - In fact, he hated everything

Ki-hoon pulled me as he walked in long strides while I, who was overfed and still quite weak, struggled to keep up with him.

"Ugh, slow down." I said. "I can't...I can't keep up."

But my words went on deaf ears until we were out of the restaurant and outside where his entourage, as well as his super expensive car, was parked.

Yeah, it was super expensive. This guy was loaded.

The chauffeur opened the door as we approached the car and Ki-hoon did himself a favor and flung me into the car as if I was a sack of dolls or something.

"Ouch,"

Luckily, I didn't get hurt but was he seriously going to treat me so roughly when I practically held the fate of his lineage in my hands? Welp, that sounded hilarious but it was true.

Where else was he going to find a pure breed Omega whose breeding capacity was as good as mine if he ended up breaking me.

I felt so proud all of a sudden.

Somehow, it looked like I had the leverage I needed to live a sweet and comfortable life till I woke up in the real world.

Ki-hoon got in the car as well through the other door. He crossed his legs and folded his arms, his face stern as if he had been given the worst news of his life.

Then, he said to the driver,

"Hurry back." He scowled. "I don't think I want to be sitting near a pig for much longer."

Ouch! That kinda hurt.

Wait, I was sure Jo-Pil hadn't been given the privilege of bathing when he was locked in that room, so I was probably smelling quite badly.

And since I ate all that with this little body of mine, it probably looked like I was a glutton or something.

In other words, I was a stinking pig who could eat an entire mansion. Now, that's even worse.

I looked at Ki-hoon as he stared at his front with no one in particular in his line of sight.

Between his eyebrows, just above his nose, the bridge was crinkled, and his eyebrows were furrowed. It was as if he was angry about something.

What was it, though? Was he annoyed that I wasn't what he expected to see or was he just like that because he couldn't beat the stench I was giving off?

But something did bother me, and I wondered this while we were entering that expensive-looking restaurant: Wasn't he embarrassed to take me, who hadn't taken a bath for days, wearing tattered clothes and a collar around my neck, into such a place?

Seeing how he was growling under his breath just because he didn't trust the likes of me, and how he was frowning bitterly from just sitting next to me, I wondered if he just didn't care about others seeing me and wanted to parade me as a slave to the eyes of the world.

Well, I sighed, it wasn't my business. So long he didn't lay a finger on me, there was still a chance for us to be buddies.

'Come to think of it, this never happened in the novel, right?'

The scene after Ki-hoon arrived at the dark room to take Jo-Pil away was quickly followed by their arrival at the mansion.

The ride was cold and quiet since Jo-Pil hated his circumstances more than anything.

He hated the collar around his neck; he hated that he had been sold and bought, and he hated the Alpha who had bought him.

In fact, he hated everything.

So, when they got to the mansion and Ki-hoon ordered the maids to take him to get washed up, Jo-Pil started his first retaliation by saying he could do it himself.

I mean, I don't blame him since any grown man, Omega or whatnot, wouldn't want to get washed by a group of strangers whom he didn't trust.

It was at that moment that Ki-hoon made his rules known to Jo-Pil, grabbing his chin roughly as he did to me at the restaurant.

"In this house, there are four people who have absolute control over your very being." He said, his eyes blazing with fury and disgust. "And you shall listen to everything that has been said to you and do whatever you are told to do. If you refuse..." He flung him aside. "... You only have yourself to blame for the consequences you shall face."

And then he walked away, leaving the maids to take Jo-Pil.

Wow, the rules were as simple as that, and yet Jo-Pil always found a way to break them. He was so stubborn as if he was asking to be punished and treated badly.

I sighed in the car and looked out the window.

The key to peaceful survival would be first to listen to whatever was asked of me. Of course, only the reasonable things.

I would very much like to negotiate if whatever is asked crosses the lines of morals or if it is too dangerous.

I knew one sick bastard who was into giving crazy and dangerous demands.

Luckily, I wouldn't be meeting him for about a week so I had nothing to worry about.

What I needed to worry about at this point was how to get Ki-hoon on my side and also the other two I will likely meet tomorrow.

'Gosh, I'm exhausted.' I thought. My eyelids felt heavy and they were patting each other softly. 'I have to stay awake, though. If I sleep now and Ki-hoon gets mad, I... I...'

Maybe if I slept, I would be able to go to wake up in my world. I wondered. That was such a possibility. So, without worrying much about what Ki-hoon would do, I gave in to the sleep and my head headed for the window.

I was sure it would hurt a little since I would be hitting my head, but surprisingly, it didn't hurt. It was as if I had hit my head on a hand or something.

But, it was warm and I did not worry anymore, letting myself fall asleep. My mind needed the rest, honestly.

At that time, I had no idea that the soft and warm impact was thanks to Ki-hoon, who had actually acted without thinking.

He saw I was about to hit my head and placed his hand in front of my head. My head did not, in fact, reach the window.

Why did he do that? He, too, wondered the same thing.
